Thinking of ttc but realistic about chances. Any positive stories?

If it doesn't happen naturally we will give up after a year but really would like to try

Anyone else done this and been successful?

Yes. I conceived my daughter very soon after trying. I was 42.

Just a little update @trestletable I fell pregnant two months after I posted on this thread just after my 40th birthday. I'm currently 16 weeks and everything had been great apart from bad sickness which has only just stopped. I will definitely be trying again in a couple of years for number 2. Xx

I'm 44 and 29 weeks pregnant with DD2. DD1 was born when I was 41. I've had 2 other pregnancies, at 40 and 42, but sadly they ended in miscarriage. All conceived naturally, just took vitamins.

I did but miscarried at 43. I was definitely not sorry about that, had no wish to start all over again at 43 and after that made sure it wouldn't happen again. I've known others in same position, one at 47.

Beautiful, hope you and the baby are doing well!

Hello! I am trying to conceive at the moment, at 41 (42 in July). Would be first (and only) child. Have been trying since October with a chemical pregnancy in February. Now starting to feel a bit glum...

Yes!

Please stay hopeful! I got pregnant at 40 but sadly miscarried. Just before my 41bd I got pregnant again despite extremely low AMH, and our little one is just sleeping next to me. We did use insemination to boost chances, but I had a natural ovulatory cycle. Good luck and don't lose hope! Take good supplements, do relaxing activities like yoga and target the ovulation well. Baby dust to you!

@Primrose23
Hi, i just wondered why you had insemination.....and how long did it take you to conceive?
Thanks

Primrose23 · 29/03/2021 22:36

@Sef89 we thought we should boost our chances from the start due to the age so we took vitamins, i had acupuncture, had healthy life style in general and we opted in for the insemination. It worked immediately for us.
