Hello ladies!
This is a test I did today, it is 2 days since my period is due and it is a Waitrose pregnancy test- bit of a cheap one!
It says on the instructions that any shading in the test box should be considered a positive.
What is your opinion ladies, I’m a bit scared so if anyone can help me you’d be really helping me out.

That looks completely flooded to me. I think you need to do another one.

kell2126 · 24/04/2019 14:22

Why is it dripping wet OP?

AlwaysAlice94 · 24/04/2019 14:24

I’m not entirely sure how to do them. I held it under my stream for a few seconds. There’s a mark in the box so what does that mean?

Too much of the test has been held into the stream. Just the tip has to be.

I would take another test.

MyDcAreMarvel · 24/04/2019 14:26

Do a different test and dip in a pot of urine.

Reaah · 24/04/2019 14:27

Pee in a cup and then dip the test in and try again that way.

JuniperNarni · 24/04/2019 14:28

That's invalid, you need to do another test because this one is flooded. Might be easier for you to wee into a little cup or container or something and dip the end of the test into it rather than trying to hold it under yourself.

cindersrella · 24/04/2019 14:28

It's usually point the pee strip down and pee for 5 seconds... follow the instructions.

If you struggle to aim pee in a clean container and dip test into it for the amount of time directed in the instructions.

I do see a line but the test is flooded so it isn't really accurate I don't think.

Megan2018 · 24/04/2019 14:29

Agree, too wet to tell - it is flooded.

I could never get it right mid stream so I did the clean cup and dip and got my BFP.

AlwaysAlice94 · 24/04/2019 14:30

Does it make a difference to doing it this afternoon as apposed to tomorrow morning?

OP posts:
AlwaysAlice94 · 24/04/2019 14:31

I’m already 2 days late

OP posts:
snowflakeeel · 24/04/2019 14:31

Hi @AlwaysAlice94. This looks promising but difficult to tell from the the picture. do you have another test you could try?
To prevent the stick from getting wet either wrap your hand around the test leaving only the tip uncovered or what I do is wrap toilet paper around the stick to ensure it stays dry. Do you know the sensitivity of your test? Keep us updated! X

LordoftheRinse · 24/04/2019 14:32

I’d do another one, and wee in a cup and dip it in so you can control the stream. Considering your periods already been due I don’t think it would make much of a difference doing it in the afternoon, just try not to drink many fluids or have a wee until you do it

cindersrella · 24/04/2019 14:34

The three times I have been pregnant I have done tests any time of day and they have never been faded or darker but I would say two days late a line will show up any time of day?

AlwaysAlice94 · 24/04/2019 14:37

Do I just wee into something and dip the tip in that way?
I won’t drink lots this afternoon, just my normal cups of teas/water and then test when I feel like going to the loo yeah?

OP posts:
Reaah · 24/04/2019 14:39

Yes

AlwaysAlice94 · 24/04/2019 14:41

The most surprising thing is that I have a clockwork system, plus I have the copper coil!

OP posts:
Cupcakes1234 · 24/04/2019 14:44

Always read the instruction booklet before you start. It's flooded so it's invalid.

December2018 · 24/04/2019 14:44

Have you wet the test with water too?
If not you have the clearest wee I've ever seen haha 😜
Yeah I'd deffo do another test though 😘

AlwaysAlice94 · 24/04/2019 14:45

I just want to know! But I’m at work so I don’t have a receptacle to pee into!

OP posts:
December2018 · 24/04/2019 14:46

If you out and about I'd find anything to wee into... a bottle top maybe, lid off antiperspirant (obviously wash them out first lol)

AlwaysAlice94 · 24/04/2019 14:48

Would a bottle top hold enough wee to test?

OP posts:
FaithEloise · 24/04/2019 14:48

I can see a line but its definitely flooded, let us know what the next one says

keepingbees · 24/04/2019 14:50

Whatever you use just make sure it's clean and dry first. Have you got a lid off a deodorant or something you could wash out and use?

December2018 · 24/04/2019 14:50

Yeah I'd say so, would have to fill it up maybe 3 quarters so I hope you have a good aim.... I haven't haha
