TTC after the pill? Ugh!

Hi guys

I’m really new to this and nervous about posting my own thread so please forgive me if I’ve posted in the wrong place!

I came off the pill (cerelle) 41 days ago - 16th January and since then haven’t had AF or withdrawal bleed.

I feel sick every single morning, cramps constantly for a month since coming off, mood swings and worst of all bloated ALL THE TIME and put on over a stone since stopping the pill! (I really don’t have room to do that!)!

Took a preg test this evening and negative.

Please is anyone in the same situation? Feel like I’m going crazy and although my DP is on board he’s more ‘wait and see, stop stressing’!

Yay exciting update!!! I actually have no clue as I had it and thought I had ovulated but hadn’t! I would just DTD as and when you can! Can’t hurt to try now :)!!

Either way I’m going to take it as a positive sign as surely it means either that my body is regulating or I’m ovulating - will see what happens though and try to dtd tonight! Also got backache and I’m tired but I have been up with dss since 4am so could be that

Morning ladies! So now I’ve woken up today and feel absolutely awful, was almost sick as soon as I woke up and my head is banging and have stomach cramps. Feel hot all over and just not good. :( Not sure if you can feel like this when you’re ovulating or if I’m making stuff up?

Oh no!! That doesn’t sound nice, it may sound silly but have you taken a test? Perhaps you ovulated a few weeks ago and these are pregnancy symptoms?

If you are ovulating now, I think we may be ovulation twins as I have just done an OPK and got a really positive line (much stronger than I got a few weeks ago when I thought I was ovulating)! And I got stabbing pains and twinges yesterday either side of my hip bones, so fingers crossed I actually ovulate this time! No sickness though, sorry!!

Going to do an OPK tonight and then a FRER with first morning wee tomorrow to cover all bases! Hoping one of them is positive at least!

Hopefully you’re definitely ovulating, how exciting! I’m so glad I’ve finally had some changes, was getting so down in the dumps and wondering if I’m broken!

Yes, I was the same, thinking I was now dead inside! Hopefully we’re working! Let us know how you get on with the tests!

@TTc2019BabyNo1 does that mean you’re now in the TWW?! I really hope you get some positive news soon! I did a FRER this morning and was negative so back to the wait for me

I guess so...! Although I thought i’d Ovulated a couple of weeks ago and that didn’t work out so not holding out much hope...! Annoyingly we didn’t dtd on Monday when I got the positive opk as hubby wasn’t well, so not promising.
I have horrendous bloating at the moment - anyone know if this is a sign of ovulation?

I’m so sorry about your BFN 😞, did you do an opk in the end? It may be your attempting to ovulate so keep doing opk’s!! Good luck!!

I was on mini pill and expected a withdrawal bleed like the combined pill. This is the first time I’ve been on the mini . 3 weeks off it and no bleed. Quite annoyed . Never liked the mini pill but had to go on it due to migraines
Was convinced I could see a line yday afternoon in my test but no amount of squinting can see anything in the test I took this morning

@TTc2019BabyNo1 I’ve definitely read that bloating is a sign of ovulating! Plus I think dtd just before ovulating is the best time to do it so you may have caught it! I haven’t been doing OPKs as not sure I can handle negative ones of those too! Just gonna try and forget about it for another few days. Though my symptoms are now coming back with cramps, dry eyes when I take contact lenses out (never had this before???), feeling sick and I’m sure my boobs have grown a bit but could just be hormone changes!

@comps83 are you TTC? 3 weeks is still early so don’t worry! I’ve been off 7 weeks today! Are you having any symptoms?

Not really
Sore boobs but that’s not unusual
I’m still not used to he whole not having a period every month thing, so I was testing. Quite a lot even when I was on the pill
Certain I saw something on ydays test though
On the positive tho. I’d just booked to go to York this sat so at least I don’t have to awkwardly try to hide the fact I wasn’t drinking

No I stupidly put it in the main bin. Thinking I’d get another line next time . I was convinced at the time but now think my eyes were playing tricks . Think I need to be more patient

Mind I do have a very odd taste in my mouth and haven’t eaten anything spicy or anything, just toast and some pancakes last night

I’m feeling down this morning 😞, so once again I have had an LH surge without the temperature increase so no ovulation again 😩!
I’m so angry at myself for not researching this before wanting a baby, I would have come off the pill a year ago had I known it would take so long to start ovulating again! (To be honest I was young when I went on the pill and never understood that it actually stopped you ovulating and later I never thought to question it, just something I took every morning)

So generally feeling a bit low today. How are you all getting on?

I’m sorry to hear you’re feeling a bit low today @TTc2019BabyNo1. After commenting on this post previously I tried to forget about TTC for a few days as I felt it was getting me down too. I had a withdrawal bleed and it’s been 49 days since so I’ve either not ovulated or totally missed it. Try not to be too hard on yourself. I spoke to my gp who said that it’s normal for someone of my age (29) to not ovulate for a year after stopping the pill which is definitely not the news I was hoping for. Also that the stress and anxiety that goes with TTC can stop you ovulating too. I feel a bit annoyed too though that they are quick enough to prescribe the birth control but they don’t tell you the side effects and potential trouble you could have in future. Like you I’d have stopped taking it earlier than I did x

Yes I’m guessing I haven’t ovulated either seeing as nothing came of the one time of EWCM. Did a OPK yesterday eve and nothing. Back in the wanting to give up stage until something happens to excite me again! :(

So 2 days ago I thought I had a tiny amount of spotting when I got up to pee in the morning but I had nothing for the rest of the day or yesterday. I thought maybe I’d been so tired and desperate to see something that I’d just imagined/dreamed it. But the same thing happened again this morning and it was definitely spotting when I wiped! I’ve also had sore boobs and headaches or the last few days so hopefully all this means I’m not dead inside! I have no idea if this will turn in to a period or not but at least something is happening!
I hope you’re both doing ok and trying to stay positive x

@TTC2019Babyno1 nothing here unfortunately! Preg test yesterday and today because I’m impatient and two BFNs! Cycle day 52 over here and starting to think maybe because I’m a big girl my periods have stopped due to that but I reckon I’m just being hard on myself as I’ve had some spotting when I first came off.

So I'm 10dpo today and couldn't resist but to do an internet cheapy but now I wish I didn't as I'm driving myself mad

It looks like a very faint line to me but not sure what do ye think. I have a first response that I will do in the morning
