I know these have been done before but I’m genuinely interested!
How long did it take you all to conceive your DC? Cycle-wise
I’ve only been ttc for 2 cycles now but love hearing about what other people’s experiences have been!

DS 1st cycle
TTC DC2 11 just started cycle 11 including a mmc

jcq17 · 20/02/2019 07:06

Started trying sept 18, bfp Nov 18 currently 18 weeks pregnant! We were very lucky and are grateful for that. Had been on the pill 13 years too.

KateTTC123 · 20/02/2019 08:53

DC1 and DC2 both took 3 cycles

Rubberduckies · 20/02/2019 08:59

19 months. We went through all the fertility tests at a year and found out Dh's sperm weren't great. Put on the waiting list for ivf and it happened naturally while we were waiting. I genuinely believe that it happened when the pressure was off (ie we'd given up on natural conception and just counting down to having the ivf)

Lauren83 · 20/02/2019 09:04

9 years and 102 cycles before DS was born without a sniff of a natural BFP although 5 IVFs in that time with donor eggs, then 3 natural periods after stopping breastfeeding I caught naturally when he was 8 months old

TwittleBee · 20/02/2019 09:13

DC1 - 1st cycle
DC2 - 14 cycles ended in MMC
DC3 - 1st cycle (FX all keeps going well)

DD - we weren’t using contraception and weren’t actively trying, took 3 years

Currently 16 weeks pregnant and conceived the one time we had unprotected sex in the last 2 years

InDreamland · 20/02/2019 14:40

5 and a half years. Still trying. Lost 2 pregnancies in first trimester.

TheOrangeOwl · 20/02/2019 14:58

I've had 2 miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy, but conceived each time very fast.

With my now 6 week old, it happened on our first time of doing the deed. However, I was using the clear blue ovulation tests and taking conception vitamins.

LorelaiRoryEmily · 20/02/2019 15:06

Took us 2 years 7 months to conceive ds. He’s almost 3 now. Started trying again in July 18, still trying.

WildFlower2019 · 20/02/2019 15:07

First pregnancy, cycle one. Sadly ended with a TFMR last year.

We took 3 months off while we waited for the post mortem results, as advised. (I'm case it was a genetic problem and we had to go for genetic counselling. Thankfully it wasn't.)

Now we're trying again. I'm slap bang in the middle of cycle 4. Ovulation tomorrow and then the 2WW will commence.

End of the 2WW falls my original due date, so I don't know how I'll handle another bfn this month.

I wonder if it's taking longer this time because I weigh a stone more. I'm also less active and eating crap. Trying to address this.

sacrecoeur0712 · 20/02/2019 15:25

DC1 - 1 month
DC2 - 14 months
DC3 - 4 years

Explorers10 · 20/02/2019 20:12

1st baby : 1st cycle
2nd baby: still trying this is 4th cycle

Sageadvice21 · 22/02/2019 07:10

Have been lucky enough to fall first cycle 3 times now, 1st wasn't successful, 2nd is my LO & currently 6 weeks on my 3rd. 2nd & 3rd pregnancies were actively trying though, OPKs & DTD at the right times. Good luck!

Yogagirl123 · 22/02/2019 07:17

I consider myself very lucky, both our children were conceived the first month of trying, there’s a 21 month gap between them, I almost feel guilty for saying it on this thread, as I know when you want a baby it is such an overwhelming, all consuming feeling.

Wishing you all happy very soon.

Figgygal · 22/02/2019 07:20

1st 2 months was 30
2nd took 10 months was 35
