10dpo what is my body doing?!

amehh · 18/02/2019 10:07

Good morning all, I'm 10dpo and I had brown spotting at 6dpo only when wiping and horrendous cramps in the evening (might be IBS related though), more pinky/red spotting on 7dpo and cramps and was convinced my AF was starting a week early. I went for a run so popped a tampon in as sometimes it starts mid run, took it out when I got home and it had brown and what looked like creamy cm on it, no more for the night. 8dpo just a weird sensation in my stomach, not cramps but hard to explain, same again on 9pdo and the tiniest dot of brown spotting in my underwear. 10dpo and nothing at the moment but I'm just so confused - waiting for AF to start for days and days is exhausting! I'm fine if it IS AF, I just want to know!

Additional information: I've had a stinking cold for over 2 weeks, currently a sinus infection so have had bad headaches and feeling run down. Also been super emotional the last few days and not very hungry until this morning and now my stomach won't stop rumbling. I've been bloated for days and also I'm now a bit constipated whereas (TMI!!!) I am usually quite loose, thanks IBS! AF is officially due Thurs/Fri.

Not really sure what I'm asking but just needed to get that all off my chest!!!

Sounds promising! I'm also 10dpo and due Thurs/Fri though I'm the opposite. I have no symptoms other than the odd bit of cramping. Fingers crossed for you OP 🤞🏼

Louise392 · 18/02/2019 17:12

Aww @amehh sorry you are having a rough time with it,

I have had so many symptoms, cramping, headaches, temp up, stomach aches and pms aches, boobs sore, hip pains, backache and nausea but no spotting as of yet, i am on the lookout for that still although some say they never get any and i cannot remember having it before with my other children.
I am due af on Saturday so 5 days left for me.

amehh · 18/02/2019 17:21

@LondonKez
@Louise392

Sounds like we are all at similar times in our cycles! I'm honestly so baffled, DS1 was a happy accident, only realised when AF was late so I didn't clock how I was feeling before hand! Since stopping BC I have had more lady pains than ever in my cycle and ironically they were at their least during my actual AF Hmm

I've debated all day about getting a FRER but I promised myself to wait until at least Saturday/Sunday so I'll just have to suffer this week and try and kick this colds butt instead!

Will either of you test early?

OP posts:
Louise392 · 18/02/2019 18:42

@amehh I was the same with DD 6 years ago, we had given up trying then one day i judt didnt feel myself and did a test and it was positive so i cant recall any signs or symptoms apart from that.

I may do a cheapie on Wednesday as i will be 11dpo then and buy some FRER off amazon tomorrow, they will take a couple days to come so ready for the weekend.

amehh · 18/02/2019 18:50

@Louise392 ah same timescale as me as well, my DS has just turned 7! I feel so completely clueless it was so long ago! Oooh good luck! I just don't want to see a negative test (or a chem preg) so I'm going to make myself wait. Although it's half term so I'm just sat at home wondering so who knows!

OP posts:
Louise392 · 18/02/2019 19:21

@amehh DD is 7 in December :) Me too!

I had so many last month i just dont want to see anymore, having lots of cramps, especially my ovaries, the left one mainly and pms style pains tonight more than i have done but hardly any cm and that has been constant til now, hope it doesnt mean af is on its way :( the ovia app says dryness is usually a sign of pending af.

amehh · 18/02/2019 19:37

@Louise392 my DS is a December baby too! My DH was adamant about not TTC in March so we don't have another but I've just told him to shut up Grin

Oh really? TMI but I'm feeling a bit "wetter" the past couple of days, not quite watery or ewcm but not as thick as creamy. Very confusing.

What cycle are you on? I'm only on cycle 2 (and we didn't really try at all last month) but I have possible issues with my tubes so I guess I'm hesitant that anything will happen for me quickly

LondonKez · 18/02/2019 19:47

This is our first, so I have absolutely no reference @amehh! All I know is that apart from a bit of cramping, I haven't had any of my normal pre AF symptoms. But this could just be my body throwing another curveball!

I have no tests in the house and thankfully don't pass any shops that sell frers on my way to/from work, so will be holding out until the weekend.

I'm cycle 7 tracking with temps, but 16 cycles in total...the cycles before we were just hoping for the best. It's been a LONG year! Due to be referred for fertility testing soon, so really hoping something happens before that but equally trying not to get my hopes up... it's a fine balance 😂

Louise392 · 18/02/2019 19:59

@londonkez if its not normal you could be pregnant :) I have read a few people on here say they had no signs at all and still get a BFP so there is still time yet :)

Peachyx2505 · 18/02/2019 20:09

Can I just pop in and say....
Totally crazy over here.... ttc #2 when ds1 is 7 at the beginning of December.... not going to stop to avoid December either 😂

Also glad there's others with this age gap! Had mixed reviews talking to mummy friends about a big age gap...!

Good luck ladies 🤞 for your bfps very soon xx

Louise392 · 18/02/2019 20:19

@amehh I came off the pill in October, had first af in December so this is our 2nd cycle also! We have so much in common :)

@Peachyx2505 Hi My DD is 7 on 14th December :) she keeps pestering me for a little friend so here we are ttc a little one for her

amehh · 18/02/2019 20:19

@LondonKez I agree with Louise, anything out of the norm can be a good sign! Glad you are at the stage of referral too, at least you might have some answers if you don't get a bfp this time :) FX for you!

@Peachyx2505 the age gap wasn't my first choice but I split with DS's bio dad at 18 months and met my DH when DS was 4 and I refused to do more baby things until we were married! So not ideal but I don't think it will be too bad, some might say a bit easier since DS is a bit more independent Smile

FX for bfps all around!!!

OP posts:
LondonKez · 18/02/2019 20:39

Thanks @Louise392 @amehh!
Don't worry about the age gap @Peachyx2505, there's a 10 year gap between me and my next sibling and but 18months between the elders. They always say it was a breeze with me! Mainly because the older kids fussed over me rather than fought!

Fingers crossed for positive tests for all! 🤞🏼💖

amehh · 18/02/2019 20:47

@Louise392 I stopped in December and was lucky enough to get my AF the next month so hopefully it all stays regular! I was always 28 days before I had DS and I'm hoping it's the same now!

@LondonKez that's reassuring to know! I've always worried about the age gap but it hasn't been possible before now. I do sort of have a cut off point of DS being 10 though I think as he will be in secondary school and I'll be 30 and think I'd rather not go back to nappies by that point....but bring 'em on now!

OP posts:
Louise392 · 18/02/2019 21:15

@amehh i was surprised it took 2 months to get my first af back as lots of people said the month after they got theirs but i had horrid symptoms those 2 months like i was pregnant, being sick in the morning, sore boobs, smelling everything but think it was just my hormones kicking back in with a vengeance.

Peachyx2505 · 19/02/2019 07:36

Aww thanks ladies! There's 7 years between my brother and I and even though he wasn't around once I was a toddler, he fussed over me as a baby! I think the age gap will be lovely as DS1 is so caring with little ones. He's also asking for a little brother or sister... mainly to play football with 😂

Good luck to you all xx 🤞

amehh · 19/02/2019 07:43

@Louise392 poor you! I definitely felt off for the first month off the pill but I'm also in the process of being diagnosed with IBS so I didn't know what was making me feel worse! I think that's settled down a bit now and it's more hormone related this month. I even miss the pill a bit just because I felt pretty normal on it!

@Peachyx2505 ah that's lovely :) my brother and I are 6 years apart but we aren't close (but we are VERY different people!) Where are you in your cycle Peachy?

OP posts:
Peachyx2505 · 19/02/2019 08:14

Only CD5. I was just being nosey and discovered the chat about age gaps 😂

🤞🤞 for you ladies who are testing soon xx

Louise392 · 19/02/2019 09:00

Me too @amehh i loved being on the pill, no periods and having to watch out incase it appeared, no spotting was great, will defo be going back onto it once i have had my last baba.

@peachyx2505 I also have a 16 y/o DS and a 14 y/o DS from a previous relationship, when my DD came along 6 years ago the boys were so good, they were only 10 and 8 at the time and they are very close to her and protective, I am TTC #4 for a friend for DD as there is such a gap she feels a little alone sometimes, the boys are all about Xbox and staying in their rooms now, Teenagers! So dont worry about age gaps at all :)

amehh · 19/02/2019 14:45

@Louise392 snap! I won't go on bc until I'm finished with children now but after that I'll definitely be back on, I miss being able to know what was going to happen when! Instead I'm covered in spots around my chin, emotional and just generally off balance a bit. Some people don't like taking bc but apparently I thrive on it!

How are you feeling today? And @LondonKez? I've predictably been thinking about buying tests all day but have resisted so far and DS doesn't want to go out this afternoon so no chance now haha

OP posts:
Louise392 · 19/02/2019 14:50

feel terrible @amehh, when i got up this morning temp was down a bit to 35.8 and when i wiped this morning i had 2 red blood spots and browny yellow discharge then wiped an hour later and 1 more spot, nothing since, now got a banging headache :(

ive ordered 2 frer to pick up tomorrow from boots

amehh · 19/02/2019 16:08

@Louise392 are you going to test tomorrow?

I've got a horrendous lower backache today and tearful again, why are pre-AF and bfp symptoms so similar?! I'm not due until Friday but don't think I can take this feeling crappy every month if this is just standard AF!

OP posts:
Louise392 · 19/02/2019 19:30

I don't know @amehh as by the time i get them it won't be with fmu, should I wait til Thursday morning?
You testing tomorrow?

amehh · 19/02/2019 20:07

@Louise392 I'd use fmu if I were you, plus an extra day never hurt! I don't have any tests so not for me tomorrow either and just trying to resist buying some!

Do you use any apps? I use FF and it recommends a test NEXT Wednesday!!! Um, no way would I let AF be 5-6 days late before I tested haha

OP posts:
Louise392 · 19/02/2019 21:00

@amehh No that is true and will hopefully be that little bit stronger too.

I use ovia and glow but they both tell me different things lol, ovia tells me to test on thursday, 2 days before af is due.

My boobs are still hurting, they only hurt for 7 days last month and that was up til the day of af whereas this month they have hurt for 9 days so far and there is stil 4 days to go, hoping that is a good sign!
