10dpo what is my body doing?!

Good morning all, I'm 10dpo and I had brown spotting at 6dpo only when wiping and horrendous cramps in the evening (might be IBS related though), more pinky/red spotting on 7dpo and cramps and was convinced my AF was starting a week early. I went for a run so popped a tampon in as sometimes it starts mid run, took it out when I got home and it had brown and what looked like creamy cm on it, no more for the night. 8dpo just a weird sensation in my stomach, not cramps but hard to explain, same again on 9pdo and the tiniest dot of brown spotting in my underwear. 10dpo and nothing at the moment but I'm just so confused - waiting for AF to start for days and days is exhausting! I'm fine if it IS AF, I just want to know!

Additional information: I've had a stinking cold for over 2 weeks, currently a sinus infection so have had bad headaches and feeling run down. Also been super emotional the last few days and not very hungry until this morning and now my stomach won't stop rumbling. I've been bloated for days and also I'm now a bit constipated whereas (TMI!!!) I am usually quite loose, thanks IBS! AF is officially due Thurs/Fri.

Not really sure what I'm asking but just needed to get that all off my chest!!!

@Louise392 my DH was just clueless, last night he was like "so what do these lines mean?" So I had to explain it and then this morning he was like "so what do THESE lines mean?" And I could have bloody hit him haha. 99% sure he was joking this morning but 1% unsure haha

Haha aww @amehh This headache of mine is still thumping away. How do you feel physically?

amehh · 21/02/2019 08:40

@Louise392 I've actually had the cold from hell for 3 weeks (although has some of that been preg symptoms maybe?) But my headache has died down a bit now because my sinuses are starting to clear. I feel bloated low down and fluttery in the tummy still. Also I've not eaten a proper dinner for 4 days now, I get to about 3/4pm and just turn off food completely - last night I ate 3 plain rice cakes and DH was like "that's disgusting, they are basically cardboard!" So I'm going to make an effort to eat better in the day so at least it won't matter so much if I don't want dinner, iykwim?

How are you feeling? I'm literally so excited! Lucky I'm waiting for payday or if be out buying more tests Grin

Congratulations both 🌸

Louise392 · 21/02/2019 08:48

Good that its starting to clear up then. I had a really weird anxiety feeling in my belly last night in bed, dunno whether it was bean or me nervous to test today fearing the worst.

Apart from the headache and boobs hurting i am feeling ok really.

I have 1 more frer left so gonna do that sunday (day after af is due) just for my own piece of mind and to see a dark line :)

amehh · 21/02/2019 08:55

@cindersrella thank you :)

@Louise392 I've had that nervous feeling too, like butterflies. I think it's just things setting up in there maybe? I don't remember this before but it was ages ago and also my first so wonder if you don't notice as much!

On a side note, everything smells super strong to me, are you the same?

Congratulations @Louise392 xx

Louise392 · 21/02/2019 09:10

@cindersrella Thank you :)

@amehh Yes i think it must be :) I dont remember anything apart from feeling sick around 8 weeks but not really being sick that much.

Yes the smells!! I can smell myself more than anything, sorry if thats tmi, bodily odors etc.

Do we class ourselves as 4 weeks pregnant now? I will be doing private midwife and scans this time around so not going to the GP etc when do i start going ? I cant remember anything from before lol.

amehh · 21/02/2019 09:18

@Louise392 so glad it's not me! I put on some deodorant before I got into bed last night!

I've just called and made my booking in appt since I'm on half term (I remember too well trying to stealthily book it from work last time with no one knowing!) And they said they do the appts from 6-8 weeks so I guess you can call and book any time really? The earliest they can see me is 8 weeks and I'm really hoping DH can get home early for DS otherwise I don't have anyone to leave him with and I don't want to take him ideally!

Do they work it out from the first day of your last period? I feel like a new mum, think you just forget everything.

No the last thing you need is DS telling everyone your having a baby before the time lol I cant wait to take DD to scans and things as she loves babys she will be so happy when i do tell her.

When we had DD hubby made us go out the same night and tell his mum and dad and mine, told him this time that we are keeping it to ourselves til ive had the first scan as i want to have some time just me and DH knowing, our little secret for a bit, before all the sickness, mood swings etc start haha :)

amehh · 21/02/2019 09:44

@Louise392 yes first day of last period, I did the nhs calculator and it says 1st November for me!

I said the same to DH except we will tell all parents around 7/8 weeks, I've recently moved away from all my family (hence no childcare for appts) and my mum is coming for early mothers day mid March so thought it would be a great surprise for her!

I hope DS can come to the scans! And no definitely don't want him spilling the beans, I work at his school so he would be dobbing me in early with them! As an aside, I've only started with them last month so I feel like a real turd for mucking them around but DH and I have said a baby is more important and if it goes pear shaped I'll always be able to find another job after the baby :)

@amehh I did the one on Pampers website and it says Saturday November 2, 2019 - You are 4 weeks pregnant
We are so close together :)
What area do you live? I am in Cheshire, England.

Aww that will be a lovely surprise for her :) I am not as close to my mum as what i used to be so mother in law will be the one crying with happiness lol :)

I am a level 3 nursery nurse and have worked in nurseries and schools but for the past 7 years i have had my own wedding business doing flowers and dressing the room, its flexible and i can work around what i need/want to do so its perfect.

amehh · 21/02/2019 10:18

@Louise392 I've just moved to Suffolk in November for DH's work and I was in Wiltshire so a fair move away and me and my mum are super close so it's been hard going so far.

Yay pregnancy twins! I've never had anyone with such a close due date as me, hope we can stick together for this :) if you don't mind that is!

DH reckons all our mum's will cry, it'll be his mum's first bio grandchild too as he is my DS's stepdad but there won't be any difference between DS and the new one :)

That sounds great! I started a wire work craft business last year but it's fallen to the wayside a bit since starting as a TA but I'll probably make an effort to pick it up just as an extra side bit to help out
