Explorers10 · 10/02/2019 17:45

So my AF has arrived today but looking forward to having another go at TTC for a baby in November 2019.

Cycle: 4
Age: 34
CD: 1

Anyone else want to join in the same position as we try to get through this next cycle together?

@veeboo it's Greece so far enough, don't really want to be that big pregnant bridesmaid sticking out like a sore thumb haha 😂

I'm not sure yet got my first appointment with GP on 28th so we'll see what they say then, part of me really wants to ask my mum is she struggled and how long it took her but I can't because we will get over excited and I will feel more pressure then both mums already go on about how much they can't wait to be grandparents 🙈

veeboo · 19/02/2019 18:13

@MrsP4 how long have you been trying for? If since September wedding, not too long to worry a consultant. Ours was very positive and we've been trying a year. He did ask us about infertility in the family but I understand you not wanting to start the gossip mill! It's the bit of ttc which does my head in most!

MrsP4 · 19/02/2019 18:25

@veeboo yes been trying since SEPT I know it's not a long time compared to some but I just feel that it's really getting to me lately, I'm just fed up of the vicious circle every month go from being positive thinking this is my month, get a positive OPK, DTD on all the right days and then the dreaded TWW And then bam AF shows her ugly face 😩 sorry for the rant 🙈 I know it's the same for all of us, I have so many friends that are currently pregnant and I can't help but get insanely jealous although I am happy for them

veeboo · 19/02/2019 18:27

This is the place to rant! I nearly lost the plot at a friend who asked me with a smirk on her face why I wasn't drinking and if I had anything to tell her. Good that they are testing you now but it also helped me to hear them say it is normal.

Explorers10 · 19/02/2019 18:46

It is brutal that you do all you can by dtd during the fertile week and use opks but still AF shows up! It’s like you doing all you can that it should work and miffed why it doesn’t. It immediately makes you think what If something is wrong. It’s so horrid!!!

MrsP4 · 19/02/2019 18:59

@veeboo God that's so annoying people always to me thought you'd be pregnant by now having just got married and that and the other day I just shouted to someone and went so did I! They just looked like 😳 Haha shut them up like. @Explorers10 that's exactly it! That's why I like coming on here because it reminds me that I'm not alone. Xx

veeboo · 19/02/2019 19:46

Some reliable websites say that even if everything is right timing wise you have a 1/5 chance of getting pregnant each try. It's frustrating but at least reassured me that it's probably not me!

Chanel05 · 19/02/2019 20:21

@WildFlower2019 only to reiterate what you know and what others have said already - book a gp appt, it’s a big step for you but that’s a step in the right direction to help give you some answers / peace. Flowers

@veeboo how long after requesting a sperm analysis did your dh get an appointment? My dh refuses to even consider it until we’ve been ttc for more than 12 months (hopefully we don’t get that far but on cycle 8 now without any luck).

I had fertility acupuncture yesterday! It was good actually and she spent the first hour of the appointment asking questions about my lifestyle and ttc journey. It was so cathartic to share my feelings without judgement!

veeboo · 19/02/2019 20:26

@Chanel05 about 4 weeks. The GP referred and he had to call the hospital for a slot.

Glad acupuncture went well. Are you supposed to have it at a certain point in your cycle?

Chanel05 · 19/02/2019 20:39

@veeboo that’s not too long at all to wait. Glad your dp had positive results that’s one relief I’m sure.

From my chat with the acupuncturist I gather you can have it at any point in your cycle but as I’m due to ovulate this week she put needles around my ovaries. I don’t know if it will work, it may just be a placebo but I’m willing to try anything at this point.

WildFlower2019 · 19/02/2019 21:19

@MrsP4 Thank you. I’ve now had the swab and it really wasn’t that bad. Fx for you and your husband with your tests. Ohh that’s quite a dilemma with the wedding! Re: asking your mum about time TTC. What about saying you’re thinking of trying soon, maybe later in the year, and ask her if she caught straight away. Then you can be non committal about it and if she brings it up again, just say “oh, we’re putting it off a few more months due to work/weddings etc” ?

I also love your response to the cheeky person “so did I” … hahahah would loved to have seen their face!

@chanel05 all booked! I’ve been for some swabs today to (hopefully) rule out infection and I’m seeing the GP in two weeks.

The acupuncture discussion sounds brilliant. Almost like a counselling session! If you get pregnant this month and I don’t, you can guarantee I’m booking in for some next month, haha. Except… I am not that keen on needles. Is it uncomfortable? Do they throw all the needles away after?

WildFlower2019 · 19/02/2019 21:20

Oh yeah, apparently they're pre-sterilised, single-use, disposable needles. I worry about the strangest things haha.

MrsP4 · 19/02/2019 22:50

Yeah that's a good idea thanks @WildFlower2019 I might say that soon if I can find a way of slipping it in to the convo, Haha yeah their face was a picture they didn't really know where to look tbh 😂

Explorers10 · 20/02/2019 08:07

What CD is everyone on? I’m currently CD12 & no smiley yet on the opk.

OP posts:
MrsP4 · 20/02/2019 08:45

@Explorers10 I'm on CD23 I didn't get a positive OPK until CD 15 and 16 this cycle

Peachyx2505 · 20/02/2019 09:36

Cycle day 6 here..... long wait for me yet!

Hoping my opk turns up today so I can get testing in the next week!

Booked a weekend away with hubs over our possible fertile period... it'll be nice just to have a day or so to ourselves.... we've not been away just us for a good few years.
Does anyone else have any exciting plans this month?

WildFlower2019 · 20/02/2019 10:25

I’m on CD14 today & got the static face.

I had flashy faces on CD11, CD12 and CD13.

We DTD on CD10, CD11 and CD13. Will, of course, DTD over the next few days too.

I had EWCM on CDs 11 & 12. Don't remember getting any over the last few months at all. Hoping that's a positive sign.

Fingers crossed!

Oooh @PeachyX2505 No exciting plans here but I do hope your weekend break will help. Last time I got pregnant it was on honeymoon, I honestly think it was the relaxation that helped!

MrsP4 · 20/02/2019 10:36

@WildFlower2019 thinking about it I don't think I had barely any EWCM this cycle! It all becomes a blur 🙈🤔

Explorers10 · 20/02/2019 11:08

@mrsP4 not long for you to wait to see if it’s worked! When are you due your AF?

@peachyx2505 exciting you have booked some time away with your DH! I’m away this weekend with DH so hopefully a nice relaxing break during the fertile week. Would like a smiley soon as I’m away for work tues night in a hotel so I be gutted if I get a static smiley face that day!

@wildflower2019 yay static face!

Hi

I am CD 16 but looking my BBT graph I dont think I have ovulated yet. Using two apps. Glow said yesterday but my temp went down today but Natural Cycles says Friday. Cycles have been 28 to 29 days since coming off pill in November 18. Waiting to see what my temp does tomorrow morning.

MrsP4 · 20/02/2019 11:46

@Explorers10 According to FF AF is due 27th a week today, but I'm a bit lost because when I came off the pill end of sept
my first cycle was 31 days
Cycle 2 27 days
Cycle 3 27 days
Cycle 4 31 days
And then currently on cycle 5 so I don't
Really know when I'm due AF my luteal phase is 13-14 days so going by that and ovulation technically should get AF on tues or weds, 27th or 28th 🙈 which would make this cycle 30-31 days god all these dates and numbers 😂

MrsP4 · 20/02/2019 11:48

@Explorers10 it's my birthday on the 1st so I'm really hoping for a nice birthday surprise! What does everyone think of the one step pregnancy tests? Are they any good/reliable? How sensitive are they?

LJ87 · 20/02/2019 11:52

Hi everyone!

I’m a first time poster on here Smile
Age 32
TTC#1
Cycle 5
CD 26
11 dpo
This 2ww has seemed the longest, I think it’s because I started monitoring my temp and did OPK’s for the first time. We DTD regularly and focused efforts around ovulation. Keeping everything crossed - AF is due any time from tomorrow to Saturday. It’s so hard not to over analyse every little twinge / sore boobs / headache / emotional outburst Confused
Sending baby dust to you all, hoping for some good results this month Smile xx

Explorers10 · 20/02/2019 12:48

@mrsp4

I do know what you mean about AF cycles mine vary too by 2 or 3 days so hard to pinpoint when exactly! Really hope you get your birthday wish! I’ve not heard of one step pregnancy tests

@ekie hopefully your temp tomorrow will help to work out if you ovulated. I’ve also got those apps as well as a few others and they all say different! I should really stick to 1 app!

@lj87 welcome to the thread! & good luck you not got long to wait! It’s so hard not to symptom spot. I find myself doing it every cycle. Let us know how you get on

Leleophants · 20/02/2019 12:52

I'm 6 days po according to my apps. I'm not sure how accurate they are as haven't had many post pill periods.

Anyone have any symptoms at this point? Or a feeling of 'knowing'? My distinct feeling is that there is probably no November baby :(

Is anyone going to stop trying next month? If my apps are correct, next month would mean a baby born on Christmas day!
