So my AF has arrived today but looking forward to having another go at TTC for a baby in November 2019.

Cycle: 4
Age: 34
CD: 1

Anyone else want to join in the same position as we try to get through this next cycle together?

I'm finally ovulating! It feels like such a long week of negative OPKs, felt like it was happening this month!

Jduh · 15/02/2019 07:05

What time in the day do you do OPK and does it have to be the same time each day?I'm a community nurse and would struggle to do them consistently at 2pm every day, partly the reason I've avoided this route but wondering if I should try.

ale2992 · 15/02/2019 07:37

@Jduh
I do one in the morning, one when I get home around 4pm and then another later on in the evening. I can't do them at work during the day either so this is the best I can do.
I did several extra ones last night as the line were getting darker each time I tested.

veeboo · 15/02/2019 08:03

Hi @jduh as Ale said I think its more important to do them regularly than exactly same time. Apart from clearblue advanced I think most advise pm/eve so do when suits you and when they start to get dark do extra ones.

I use clearblue and on cd13 now and no flashing smiley. We're away this weekend so hoping that will help!

Jduh · 15/02/2019 09:23

@ale2992 @veeboo I get in around 6pm. Do you think this would be too late?
I'm CD13 and according to past BBT I tend to ovulate CD17-19 so I will try and get some today and give them a go.

Peachyx2505 · 15/02/2019 13:48

Hi ladies!

Can I join please? Was on a lovely thread for valentines bfps (not our month) so would love to join another for this cycle 😀

I'm 32
Ttc #2
CD 1
Cycle 2
AF/BFP due 18th March

I have one ovary, the other was removed 7 months ago (tomorrow!) due to having 3 dermoid cyst/tumours attached to it. My remaining ovary also had dermoid but it was saved along with my tube. I was told it shouldn't affect my fertility but that doubt always creeps in! AF is regular and my cycle has been shorter since the op, but this month I'm tempted to try opk.

Also are we crazy!?.... if we are lucky this month we'd be due 10 days before our Ds1's birthday 😂

🤞 everyone xx

veeboo · 15/02/2019 14:46

Hi @Peachyx2505. Welcome! @Jduh I think that would be fine. Maybe when it gets dark add an extra one.

ale2992 · 16/02/2019 08:33

@Jduh no I don't, can get home anytime between 4-6 so have tested at that time too. I seem to get my darker results in an evening

ale2992 · 16/02/2019 08:35

TWW starts tomorrow again for me, so so hoping this month is my month 🤞🏻

PyjamasForever · 16/02/2019 08:48

I'm also hoping for a November baby.

My first was a happy accident, so I'm finding myself getting really obsessed now that we're actually trying. Have resisted temping and ovulation sticks so far... but now considering it...

Explorers10 · 16/02/2019 09:52

Good luck @ale2992 I hope the tww goes quick for you!

welcome @peachyx2505 & @pyjamasforever TTC number 2! I know now that we are trying for number 2 seems to be taking time, need to be patient but very hard. Start panicking that something is wrong that it hasn’t worked yet

Thank you @Explorers10 Coming on here really helps me because I know I'm not alone! Just can't believe how hard it is to actually get pregnant 🙈

Nfis · 16/02/2019 23:27

Anyone else trying SMEP? I'm on CD8 now and was reading about it so giving it a go...

Paddypaws91 · 17/02/2019 07:28

The fertile window is officially open for business! Where is everybody else in their cycle?

@Nfis I was going to try the SMEP next month if unsuccessful this cycle. I've read good things about it. Good luck and keep us updated with how you get on Smile

I used Preseed last night for the first time, was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to use, was expecting it all to be a right lubey mess 😂

Zarara · 17/02/2019 08:01

@Nfis I’m trying to follow SMEP as closely as possible, but with some modifications as my DP has been away for work for a few of the nights so working around it. it’s worth a go though.

I’m not getting a positive opk yet, I’m using the cheap opks from amazon and there doesn’t seek to be any hint of a second line although I feel like I’m close to ovulation. I hope I haven’t bought a faulty batch!

Nfis · 17/02/2019 08:05

@Zarara good luck trying. I'm still a few says away from ovulation so starting opks tomorrow. Fingers crossed you get your positive soon.

@Paddypaws91 did you use an applicator for your preseed? I ordered some and have the same fears of a big lubey mess! Any advice would be really helpful!

Paddypaws91 · 17/02/2019 08:13

@Nfis yeah so it comes with a load of disposable applicators, it wasn't too difficult though. I read a little goes a long way, so only used 2mg (you can go up to 4mg) I've seen really good reviews, so FX to us!

Nfis · 17/02/2019 08:28

@Paddypaws91 thanks for the tip - will give it a go... FX for you, let me know how it goes! I'm only on CD10 so still a few days to go before ov
