Anyone else want to join in the same position as we try to get through this next cycle together?

Hi can I join too?
Ttc: #3
Ovulation due mid/end of this week.

Had no problems with the other two, but now have an endometrioma, which may affect it. Nice to wait with people!

HellsBellsK · 11/02/2019 10:18

Hi Girls,

TTC #2
Age: 32
Cycle: 4 I think.

Going to join in. Had a miscarriage last month. So not sure if my period will even come this month or what's ahead. I counted MC as day 1 of my cycle. Started the 2WW now but not hopeful of a BFP. But we will see.
For this cycle and next ill still be on the November bus I have short cycles. Well I did before MC anyway. x
Good Luck to you all xxx

WildFlower2019 · 11/02/2019 11:12

Hi @explorers10 and @Paddypaws91. Thanks for setting up the new thread. I really enjoyed chatting with you last month :-)

About me:

=========

TTC #1

Cycle: 4th since we started trying again in November. I was pregnant in June but sadly we had to TFMR at 13 weeks in August.

CD: 8 on Clue which says to count spotting at the start of a period, 5 on FertilityFriend which says not to count spotting.

Age: 33

I’m due to ovulate around 21st Feb.

What I’m going to do differently this month:

====================================

  • Temping. I just received my thermometer through the post.

  • Keep taking my vitamins!

    .

  • PreSeed (ran out of Conceive+ so giving PreSeed a go).

  • Try and follow the Fertility Diet by the Harvard Medical School and exercise more.

I want to lose half a stone (to begin with).

www.urmc.rochester.edu/medialibraries/urmcmedia/fertility-center/education/documents/fertility-diet.pdf

  • I'm swapping from internet cheapie OPKs to the Clearblue digital ones. Just to see what they're like!
BabyMoonPie · 11/02/2019 11:16

Hi all. TTC number 2 and I'd forgotten how terrible the process is so joining for support. Cycle number 2 and I'm 38

WildFlower2019 · 11/02/2019 11:41

Hi again @veeboo - didn’t see you there! Sorry for missing you off in my message!

Jooloo11 · 11/02/2019 11:52

@WildFlower2019 - thanks for posting that re the fertility diet, I've never heard of that and will try literally everything! I feel like constantly looking online for some getting pregnant hack. As if there's some secret other than sex at the right time that I've never heard of lol.

I think I get about carried away with stuff like that though - I read a lot a while back about BPA affecting hormones, so now I won't touch receipts and threw away all my plastic Tupperware and bought glass stuff instead Hmm

I also now get all my toiletries from Holland and Barrett because they don't have any parabens in them... I know I'm being ridiculous but as soon as that stuff is in your head it's so hard to ignore!

veeboo · 11/02/2019 15:53

Hi @WildFlower2019 fx for this month!

Hi can I join please
TTC 2
Age 31
CD 8
Cycle 1

Took over a year to conceive our son so really hoping for a quicker journey second time around

ale2992 · 11/02/2019 22:42

Hi all can I join?
I'm 26, I have an older son from a previous relationship. But this will be mine and my partner first child together.
We started TTC in September and fell pregnant in October but had MMC by December. My OH and I did sort of start trying during January after my MVA but got AF at the end of January and now really trying for February. Currently about to ovulate so dtd like crazy.

Explorers10 · 12/02/2019 18:36

@zarara of course you can join. Really hope your 2nd one takes quicker. It’s so hard isn’t it each month when it doesn’t work and then trying to pick yourself up the next month

@ale2992 sorry to hear about your MC. How often is dtd like crazy?! Good luck trying to conceive number 2

Paddypaws91 · 12/02/2019 18:51

Brought some FRERs from amazon, they've arrived today with a free one thrown in - it's like they're encouraging us to test early 🙈

Has anyone got an action plan on how they're going to keep busy during their TWW? I've got a baby shower in mine, like that's going to distract me 😂!!

WildFlower2019 · 12/02/2019 19:20

Hi @Explorers10 I just tend to have a week between AF and OV where I don't obsess over TTC!

@Paddypaws91 you got a freebie? I'm so jealous! The amount I've spent with them over the last few months, you'd think they'd give me a freebie...! Or a loyalty card!!! 😆

I'll keep busy during the TWW how I always do... obsessively googling every little thing and driving everyone crazy on here haha.

Explorers10 · 12/02/2019 20:12

@paddypaws91

Wow that’s amazing they gave you a freebie! You will definitely be tempted to test early then! No idea how I’m going to keep busy but I need to as I’m driving my DH crazy obsessing.

@wildflower2019 I do need to find something else to distract me other than TTC so it’s good you can do that. I’m just already longing for AF to stop so that I can get back to it! I find this week I tend to eat or drink what I like then once I start dtd make sure I’m back to being careful about what I eat and drink

Jduh · 12/02/2019 20:28

Hey everyone hope it's ok to join.
I'm 32
TTC #2
CD 10
Cycle 17

I had been tracking my temp but started to get very stressful so stopped all tracking this month.

Lots of baby dust for us all this month!

Explorers10 · 12/02/2019 21:04

@jduh of course you can join. Good luck TTC number 2. Difficult to track temperature I find I forget each morning to do it & then get to work and realise

Zarara · 13/02/2019 08:19

Is anyone using the cheap opk from amazon, I just bought some so hoping they will give me a better chance. I’m also considering doing SMEP but wondering if I should be more relaxed these first couple of months. Is anyone else going anything else to increase their chances?

HedgehogStew · 13/02/2019 18:39

Can I join? I'm fairly new to the pregnancy boards so I'm still learning all the code / lingo. I'm 34. Trying for our first baby and this is our first month of trying. I guess from reading the other threads it seems unlikely that we will get lucky on our first attempt.

Explorers10 · 13/02/2019 19:30

No not using the cheap ones I think maybe @wildflower2019 may have used them? I’m using clear blue. I’ve not heard of SMEP but just googled it, I will give it a go this month. Usually dtd every other day so maybe should do it more often on peak fertility! If it doesn’t work this month I’m going to try and take a relaxed approach going forward as my DH doesn’t want an Xmas/winter baby.

@hedgehogStew of course you can join. it can happen 1st time, it did with my first but TTC number 2 & didn’t work 1st try. I’m on 4th cycle

@zarara see message above

OP posts:
WildFlower2019 · 13/02/2019 19:53

@Zarara

Hi yes, I did use the cheapie OPKs for 3 months but I'm trying clearblue digital this month.

I have also done SMEP too. Well roughly . More or less! First month we missed the peak day after my app rejigged itself and changed which day i ovulated so we got confused.

The second month we DTD pretty much when SMEP dictates and Last month we did it lots, and every day over the FW. and a few before and after for good luck.

This month I'm so fed up with it, I'm considering asking DH to make a "deposit" in my mooncup and I'll just put that in ShockGrin

Joking aside, we might have to use that method next month as my mum might be coming to stay for a few weeks!!! Id be far too paranoid about her hearing any funny business. Our house is so small! 🙈

Zarara · 13/02/2019 20:29

@wildflower2019 I might upgrade my opks if I don’t get lucky this month. Haha I know what you mean the shine soon starts to go when you’re scheduling it in as well as it being bloody exhausting!

@explorers10 how old is your first child? I don’t mind a December baby but my DP isn’t keen for a January baby but I think I’m just going to keep going as I don’t think I’ll be able to take a break by then.

Explorers10 · 13/02/2019 20:42

@wildflower2019

Maybe we do need to be more relaxed than trying to dtd all the time! Might be that we stressing too much that's why it's not working Grin

@zarara I have a 2 and half year old, so ready for another one! I was so naive I thought I would instantly fall pregnant like I did with my first, was such a shock it didn't happen. I need to convince my DH to keep trying as not sure I can cope with three months off trying
