@Lozzlepop it was essentially a chocolate fountain, but with baileys instead and the 'shot glasses' were made of chocolate!! An absolute dream!

LuckyPenguin · 16/02/2019 12:54

@FivexFive - I am so so sorry to hear this. Such upsetting news. Fingers crossed it'll happen for you again soon xx

BostonFern · 16/02/2019 13:14

@orangeloo welcome!

@FivexFive I'm really sorry to hear that. Be kind to yourself in the coming weeks x

@MrsH497 🤞 for you.

@LokiCat looks a bit lighter, so you should have ovulated by this evening if you got your positive OPK on Thursday night. I carried on with OPKs for a few days after my positive, just out of curiosity!

@KatBeCool 🤞 this will be your month.

@ValidUser glad to hear you have a donor available should you need one.

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday so far, we've been out for breakfast and had a couple of errands that needed doing. Planning on having a duvet day now and enjoying the first day of our break from work. TWW is starting to get to me. Had an urge to test this morning, but resisted as I'm only 8 or 9 dpo. Had a couple of sharp pains in my lower abdomen, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up as it is most likely IBS related.

thumper59 · 16/02/2019 13:46

@FivexFive so sorry for you. X

DayDreamer1707 · 16/02/2019 14:43

@FivexFive Im so sorry to here your news. Hope the next couple of weeks pass quickly for you. Thinking of you x

starkid · 16/02/2019 15:27

@FivexFive - So sorry to hear this, take as much time out as you need if it's hard to jump straight back into it all again Sad Flowers xxx we'll be hear if it makes you feel better though
@ValidUser - So glad you've got plans/strategies in place xx yes come on to pregnancy by 30!
@KatBeCool - Aw, no energy boost! That was the best part Grin glad you and your DH survived it though :P

I'm only 1dpo and already wishing the week away 😂 my luteal phase isn't ever 2 weeks either, so don't know how you lot cope with waiting so long! Gonna dtd again tonight then call our work done for now and have a rest 😂

cupcakesandglitter · 16/02/2019 16:19

@ValidUser I'm so happy for you, I'm glad you've had good news x I'm okay thanks, just plodding along 😂 x

Babytrain89 · 16/02/2019 18:25

Hi all....was on here a few threads back but took some time out from mumsnet to try and get my head straight. I felt so positive last cycle and was really gutted when AF arrived.

So AF due tomorrow/Monday. This is cycle 4. I'm pretty sure she's coming.

One thing I've really noticed and having skimmed over this thread I noticed @Jessika seemed to experience similar....is that I've felt horribly nauseous the last two days and was genuinely retching this morn. I wouldn't say I've felt dizzy just a bit vacant. Now I'm off the pill every cycle my boobs tend to get really sore just before AF which seems cruel...do others get this? I get the feeling my body is still adjusting, but i feel so positive each cycle then it just turns out to be AF tricking me!

How's everyone doing? Hope it's ok I've dropped back in. I'm 29 and cycle 4. CD26.

thumper59 · 16/02/2019 18:41

CD 20 and I'm so bored of waiting. 😂 got my hajr done today so feel like a new woman!

KittieKath · 16/02/2019 20:06

Hi @Babytrain89 welcome back! I took a break for a weeks too. I tend to lose focus/interest after AF, and it's only after FW that I go crazy again?!

@thumper59 I am about CD20 too. It's such a bore!

Babytrain89 · 16/02/2019 20:39

@kittiekath thank you! I think I'm just putting way too much pressure on myself but i don't know how to stop!

Lola871 · 17/02/2019 08:18

AF due today, no sign of it yet, but my cycle lengths aren't completely consistent so I'm not holding my breath, also haven't tested yet. I'm determined not to test until I'm actually late although if we had any tests in the house I think I'd be tempted 😂

DayDreamer1707 · 17/02/2019 08:31

Good morning all!! Had a lovely date night last night with the OH. Currently CD22 and 10DPO and AF due in about 4days. Waiting to see if the spotting I get starts today or tomorrow FX

@Babytrain89 welcome back and I think sometimes our bodies change even month to month!

@Lola871 try and hold out as long as you can't if you aren't too sure, would today make you around 14dpo?

@starkid I'm now 10 days into the TWW. Thing that annoys me is all the waiting around for AF to just arrive 😫🤣

Babytrain89 · 17/02/2019 08:52

@Lola871 well done for holding out. Mine also due today or tomorrow, fingers crossed for us both.

@daydreamer1707 thanks! I think I agree with you...just unfair when your boobs are agony, you've got backache and feel sick...only to find its AF!!

starkid · 17/02/2019 09:01

@DayDreamer1707 - So dull.... thing is until maybe a week in to the tww I don't really have anything to say. Then will start symptom spotting and become more interesting again 😂 fx you don't get the usual spotting this weekend!

MrsAW2018 · 17/02/2019 09:09

Well, AF turned up late last night so I'm out for this month. Absolutely gutted but I think I knew deep down that was the case. Going to take a little Mumsnet holiday I think to get my head around going into cycle 9.

Thanks for all the lovely messages about my BFNs the past week❤️

I've got a doctors appointment on Wednesday so I'm going to talk to her about my TSH level as although it was in the normal range, I have a feeling it's too high to conceive as I have quite a few hypothyroidism symptoms. But we shall see.

Anyways, sorry for the essay and good luck to all those testing. I'll be back soon. Baby dust to you all x

Lola871 · 17/02/2019 09:39

@DayDreamer1707 I don't track anything as were just taking a 'see what happens' approach, I think I might freak out a bit if I got a positive first cycle which makes it easier not to test!

I do know that I ovulate 14 days before AF as I've had ovulation pain a couple of times, my longest cycle has been 36 days since I started tracking and I'm currently on CD36. So hypothetically 14 DPO.

@BabyTrain89 fingers crossed for you too!!

BostonFern · 17/02/2019 10:10

Morning!

Welcome back @Babytrain89 !

@MrsAW2018 sorry AF has turned up. I can understand wanting a break. Hopefully your GP appointment can help x

I'm on CD23 and 9 or 10dpo. I don't usually get spotting, so no 'early warning sign' for AF to look out for, which means I need to keep waiting until Friday at least. I'm also determined not to test earlier than CD28 this cycle. It also means every little change is my body is making me wonder if it's a symptom of AF or pregnancy. I've been very, painfully, bloated the last two nights. Last night I resorted to a hot water bottle to help me get to sleep. My breasts are sore too. But since this is only my second cycle since coming off the pill I don't know if this is normal, pre-AF or something else. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hope everyone has been having a good weekend. I think I'm going to start spring cleaning the house today!

AngeloMysterioso · 17/02/2019 10:15

Sorry to hear about AF @MrsAW2018.

Are you on thyroxine? I have hypothyroidism and have been on thyroxine since August, with my dose going up to 75mcg in October. I've found it's helped quite a lot.

Babytrain89 · 17/02/2019 10:25

Sorry to hear about AF @MrsAW2018. I understand taking a break, sometimes it can really help. I hope you get some answers.

Hi @bostonfern I hear you with the symptom spotting...AF symptoms since I've been off the pill have come as quite a shock to me. I find it all very unsettling as I've not really had the symptoms before (even in previous stints off the pill unrelated to ttc), so I immediately began thinking it must be pregnancy...so it's good you're keeping an open mind. Have everything crossed it is pregnancy though!

KatBeCool · 17/02/2019 11:26

@MrsAW2018 sorry about AF driving. What is your TSH level? If your TSH levels are still within the norm but you have symptoms of hypothyroidism, were your Free T4 levels good? Usually it's part of the same test. I agree with @AngeloMysterioso, thyroxine improves things. I started taking it in September and my symptoms have lessened as well. I'm only on 25mg. If you do get it prescribed, while the levels usually drop right away, the symptoms will take months to notice a difference (like 3-4 not forever).

@BostonFern bloating and sore boobs are symptoms of increased progesterone levels after ovulation, which may or may not mean pregnancy, so they're basically of no help when symptom spotting.

I'm starting to sound like a library 😂

BostonFern · 17/02/2019 11:39

@KatBeCool thanks, I've been trying to see it more as a pre-menstrual sign so I don't get my hopes up!

@Babytrain89 I think it just highlights how much hormones affect our physical health too.

I've just given the kitchen a good clean, put the food away for the week and put a load of laundry on. DP has nipped out to buy me a can of cola, it's my one big vice (and the only source of caffeine I have), so I'm currently sat on the sofa listening to the cat knock over as many items in the living room as possible 😭

DayDreamer1707 · 17/02/2019 11:58

@Babytrain89 like getting AF isn't enough and then you are in pain with your boobies!!

@starkid I always feel useless in the TWW there is literally nothing we can do but pray ha.

@MrsAW2018 so sorry to her she has come but you do what is best for you 😘

@Lola871so it's looking quite good then!! You may need to test soon FX

@BostonFernI am already onto the cleaning with you. I tend to get carried away and think 'god why did I start this'.

@KatBeCool you are like the knowledge of this thread!!!

Babytrain89 · 17/02/2019 12:25

@bostonfern too true! It's an absolute minefield. There was an article published this week by a university saying that the pain felt during menstruation can be compared to a heart attack for 1 in 5 women and needs to be taken more seriously...I'm not one of those 1 in 5 but does just highlight that it's not a walk in the park either!
I'm having a cuppa then plan on hoovering, clearing kitchen and doing a general clean/tidy upstairs!

@daydreamer1707 exactly that! Why does everything just feel the need to get involved 😂.

BostonFern · 17/02/2019 13:02

@DayDreamer1707 DP came home and cooked a fry up in the newly cleaned kitchen! He's a good one though, and is cleaning it all up after giving me instructions to stay on the sofa and take it easy!

@Babytrain89 that's a really interesting statistic- luckily I wouldn't count myself as one of those whose pain is that severe though.
