Who’s with?

Things I’m changing... massive coffee reduction... swapping from stevia, as I’ve read it can maybe have a contraceptive effect and I probably have about 8 teaspoons a day ....

Ava pregnancy calculator now says it should take us an average of 4 months.

This will be month 3.

We DTD virtually every day during the fertile window, and about two-three times during ‘peak’. Maybe I’ll give him a break 🤣

I’ve also reduced my exercise slightly.

This month we used pre-seed and I bought opks.

Partner has bought a home fertility test that’s arriving on Monday.

What’s everyone else doing?

@Broodyaf November 2018 is 4 months ago tho can't be cycle 24? I started TTC in November too -I'm really new to this TTC thing and it's driving me crazy! We weren't TTC for the other two pregnancies - we wanted kids but 1st time we were waiting for an appointment for PGD (ivf which eliminates the genetic condition) and got pg before and second time we had planned to start TTC the next month - first time baby was fine but second time not so I'm hoping third time will be ok! We have a 50:50 chance of whether we can progress with pregnancy or not and I have to wait til 11-12 weeks before I know!! So the 2ww doesn't seem so bad when I've got to wait a further 9 weeks after!! Good luck to you too hun! X

MummyBearBoo · 08/02/2019 22:59

@nailayousaf do you not know when your OV day was? If you have a normal 28 day cycle it should have been around CD 14 -best time to test is first day of your missed period so CD28 if your AF doesn't come! X

Broodyaf · 08/02/2019 23:08

@MummyBearBoo oh dear that's so sad, I don't know how u deal with that, must be so so hard on you both. I've never heard of anything like that before - just goes to show u never know what people go through

Apologies - I meant to say the start of Nov' 2017! 😂😂xx

kaytee87 · 08/02/2019 23:21

I'm on CD 20 now, have dtd 4 times in the past 8 days. Will do once more for luck on Sunday (I read sperm can assist implantation).
Will test on CD 29 if no AF. 🤞

nailayousaf · 09/02/2019 00:35

@Mummybearboo my last period 14 jan today my cycle day is 26 .cycle day 25 mean 7 feb i take preg test and neg 2 day is lft for period .i hv chance for preg ? me confuse .i try for conceive

MummyBearBoo · 09/02/2019 07:27

I I'm not quite sure what you mean @nailayousaf when is your AF due?
After being woken up with stomach cramp I was convinced AF was stating but just fine a CB digital as Af hadn't actually started and got a BFP!! Now I'm shaking and terrified!!! Basically it depends which egg I release - if it has my Dad's chromosome 19 the baby will be too ill to keep but if it has my mum's the baby will be fine - so far I have had 1 good and one bad!! I have the condition and I'm not too bad but it gets significantly worse by generation so my dad has no symptoms but I do and the baby would be too ill they may not even make it full term Xx

Broodyaf · 09/02/2019 09:59

Ah congratulations @MummyBearBoo !
Now another 9 weeks til you find out, and worst case scenarios, u know that if u have to TTC again it's not goin to take you years xx

MummyBearBoo · 09/02/2019 10:59

But I'm 34 now so if this time doesn't work it might take longer! X

Broodyaf · 09/02/2019 11:31

@MummyBearBoo don't say that 🙈😫
I'm still TTC my 1st and I'll be 37 in June

agteacht · 09/02/2019 12:15

Ooh tentative congrats @MummyBearBoo

I'm 36 and txt #1 too @Broodyaf 😬😄

MummyBearBoo · 09/02/2019 12:16

I know but my last baby when I had the TFMR had the genetic condition I carry which is why we had the TFMR but he also had Downs Syndrome (which was only a secondary reason as the genetic condition is devastating on its own) once you've had a baby with Down's Syndrome your chance of having another baby with any kind of chromosomal abnormalities increases and when I hit 35 it increases again- it's only coz of my history that my age matters!! Xx

Broodyaf · 09/02/2019 12:20

@MummyBearBoo oh I'm with you now. I've a fuller picture of ur circumstances in my head and I can see why ur worrying more about your age now. But hopefully all will run smooth with this pregnancy, and if not, u know u can conceive again xx

Broodyaf · 09/02/2019 12:21

@agteacht how long have youse been TTC?
I feel so old esp cos it hasn't worked for us yet but then I hear all these positive stories which picks me up again 🤗

Bluebell9 · 09/02/2019 12:39

Congratulations @MummyBearBoo. Fingers crossed everything goes well for you Flowers

agteacht · 09/02/2019 12:41

Sorry to hear this @MummyBearBoo. Keeping fingers crossed for you

Since Christmas 17 @Broodyaf
One MC along the way. But very recently found out I have elevated prolactin which is affecting ttc, seeing a specialist in about a week. Luckily all other levels look right so I'm hoping to pop a pill, get prolactin down and find myself another BFP in the next few months

In my head would have had first child by 35 so it starts getting stressful doesn't it!!!

But I know it will all work out for us all x

MummyBearBoo · 09/02/2019 12:49

This was my 3rd Cycle - we didn't realise how late my ovulation was CD25/26 til we started using OPKs - we still only DTD the day before and the day of getting a positive OPK! Xx

Broodyaf · 09/02/2019 13:04

@agteacht how far on were u with ur mc?
I think I had a chemical at Christmas gone past (been TTC since Nov'17

I had a doctors appt yday to get bloods checked but was unable to make the appt. next available appt is 25th Feb so if nothing happens this cycle I'll hopefully get the ball rolling with GP to get all checked out

MummyBearBoo · 09/02/2019 13:17

I got checked out a GPS a coupe of months again coz of complications associated with TFMR there was a chance my ovaries wouldn't work by everything seemed normal! How do you know what the difference is between a CP and normal pregnancy? Xx

MummyBearBoo · 10/02/2019 13:12

So I did a cheapie supermarket test this morning and it was negative but my BFP yesterday was with a CB Digital which said pregnant 1-2 weeks - my AF was due Friday and i've had no bleeding or spotting do you think this is a CP or just that CB tests are more sensitive than cheap supermarket ones? I've ordered some more CB tests for tomorrow and will retest then! Xx

LouH1981 · 10/02/2019 13:18

I’m in. TTC for 12 months and had a miscarriage last June at 12 weeks 😢 I’m trying to eat better, no caffeine, no alcohol as usual. Taking Ubiquinol and all the vitamins. We’ve been doing the every couple of days method and gone for everyday this time.
Hubby going for tests at the end of the month. On day 20 (30 day cycle) with everything including my Labradors paws crossed!
Good luck all xxx

MummyBearBoo · 10/02/2019 13:47
