Anybody starting their tww?
Mine starts today, my app says test on the 25th so I'm challenging myself not to test early this time!

Come join me for 14 days of symptom spotting and a healthy dose of moaning about mean AF.

Hi @ShortandSweet96,

Oh that will be a treat, I can't wait to decorate a nursery. Our future babies room is currently an office/dumping ground, so I am going to have to do a big declutter when we get the BFP.

I'm not really sure, I think I am inventing symptoms, I've been a lot windier lol and had some cramps in my sides. Been a bit emotional too... But that could just be hormones for AF.

Have you had any symptoms?

ShortandSweet96 · 13/01/2019 21:53

@pika88
All I read is how similar PMS and pregnancy symptoms are it's so deflating not knowing for sure!

I'm not sure as I'm only 2dpo. But I have been quite windy today too and every time I stretch i get a really crampy but sharp pain low down, just above where my pubic bone is. It's probably nothing!

I’m finding myself looking for the symptoms I had when I was pregnant with dS, but it was 6 years ago so hard to remember!
I remember being really run down and full of sinus pain, I also remember really bad cramps, was convinced I was out that month as though AF was imminent but was PG.
We’ll know in a week or so! Just need to hold out from constantly squinting at sticks x

ShortandSweet96 · 13/01/2019 21:58

I suffer terrible with sinusitis! Haven't had it in a fee months so maybe it will flare up I the next couple of weeks and I can check that off as a symptom!

The only symptom I had last time was I walking into a room and someone was eating marmite toast and I nearly threw up! I love marmite and didn't have any morning sickness my entire pregnant except that day. Would have been about 7-8dpo.

I need to start sniffing marmite Grin

Watching one born every minute tonight...error?! Also done about 5000 calculators on countdown to pregnancy courtesy of @Lauraliverpool 🤣👌

Welcome to the new girls too! @Mooey89 @Pika88 @tedsy

closedcircuit · 13/01/2019 22:29

Going to join in here, if you girls dont mind.

Age: 24
TTC: #2
Cycle: 9
Due: 26/1

My DDs pregnancy I had no symptoms until I had missed my period completely so I guess really I should be looking for no symptoms!

I've been looking at YouTube videos of how to encourage implantation and a lot of the advice is to rest, keep warm but stay as active as usual without exhausting yourself.
Mixed advice over supplements some say vitamin c, d, e, fish oil, calc flour, folic/folate, and the any prenatal vitamin.

I think i would like to get into charting for next month since I've come this far now. Do any of you ladies chart? If so, what thermometer do you have? A lot of them seem quite expensive!

Pika88 · 13/01/2019 22:31

@Doris19 you've just reminded me that I've got some recorded to watch from a few months ago. That's me sorted for the next hour Grin

ShortandSweet96 · 13/01/2019 22:33

Welcome @closedcircuit!

Cycle twins, I'm also due 26th!

So far I've only been tracking with the flo app and also started watching my cervical mucus for changes.. I think if thjsisnt my month I may also start feeling m cervix for changes as that a really good indication of accurate ovulation. If hoping with cervix service I may start recording my temp buy-in useless in the morning I don't think I'd be very consistent!

Welcome @closedcircuit. The wait is so boring already and only 2dpo.

That is interesting re implantation...any other tips??

I don't chart I'm afraid but have seen a few other boards where people do so might be worth checking them out too.

ShortandSweet96 · 13/01/2019 22:37

@doris19
I used to watching but it makes me so emotional I've given up as I start sobbing before anything has even happened now!

Also kind of makes my tummy churn that that could be me around October..

Off topic here, but this is my animal child who clambers all over the sofa, I think he's just preparing me for a child!

@Shortandsweet96
Thank you, thats pretty cool being cycle twins! Its nice to have the company during 2ww it does get lonely and boring.

I've also just been tracking CM but feel it's a bit inconsistent up until 4-5dpo and then it's just dry or non-existent. So I think charting may be the route to go. Have also been using ovulation tests.

@Doris19 thank you! It is boring! Hoping to fill up this week with stuff that just needs doing though for plenty distraction.

If you look up Fertility Homeopath/Ingefleur.com she has great tips and information about fertility and homeopathy.
Marc Sklar also has some interesting and helpful videos too!

I love one born every minute I really loved the first few series they did. Haven't seen latest ones in a while!

closedcircuit · 13/01/2019 22:48

@ShortandSweet96 awww hes precious! Definitely believe pets are just easier versions of children.

Gumball54 · 13/01/2019 23:39

@ShortandSweet he’s lovely!

@closedcircuit I chart. I use a basal body thermometer, was like £6 on Amazon.

I don’t watch One Born, had a rubbish birth with my DS so puts me off watching. Also one reason we’ve waited so long to try for #2.

I’ve had cramps since ovulation. Trying not to get my hopes up as I’ve had this a couple cycles and not been pregnant but it’s difficult! Cramps were my only symptom last time.

tedsy · 14/01/2019 06:52

@ShortandSweet96 that's an amazing plan!

Lion8 · 14/01/2019 07:28

Just checking back in to say I'm loving all the updates, and what a cute dog! My plan for the next couple of weeks is to keep myself busy in work then hibernate at night Blush

Is anyone else trying not to share too much with other halfs? I feel if I tell him the ins and outs of ovulation etc it will freak him out a bit?!

ShortandSweet96 · 14/01/2019 08:11

@lion8 I'd like to keep it quiet from my OH and surprise him, but he's knows I'm waiting as my libido is usually on and off but this month he's commented on how DTD seemed to be consistent and scheduled so I think I failed there!

OP posts:
Gumball54 · 14/01/2019 09:47

@lion8 I’m the same. Although he knows I temp and stuff but I don’t want to overload him with information.

I’m only 4dpo and I had the tiniest bit of pink spotting this morning. So strange, trying not to overthink it as it’s too early to be pregnancy related.

Doris19 · 14/01/2019 10:06

Also trying not to share too much, partly don't want to put on too much "performance" pressure but now don't want him to get excited with my symptom spotting!

What are thoughts on caffeine? Are people cutting down in anticipation?! Since DS1 I am a coffee addict...

Gumball54 · 14/01/2019 10:24

@Doris I have one cup of coffee a day so I’ll stick to that.
In my first pregnancy I really had to cut down though, I was constantly drinking tea, coffee and energy drinks throughout the day before I found out I was pregnant so that was a struggle.

Lauraliverpool · 14/01/2019 10:33

Hubby knows I use clear blue ovulation tests and will ask if I've done them and what the result was. Don't just want it to be about making a baby but also about being close in that way. X

ShortandSweet96 · 14/01/2019 10:51

@doris19
I'm a real coffee addict, I'm a dental nurse so I'm drinking coffee throughout the day to keep me going!
2 cups in the morning, consistent throughout the day and then one in the evening. I must be getting through about 8 cups a day!

Today I've had one cup of coffee, one cup of tea and now I'm keeping water in the surgery to try and distract myself from coffee cravings!

OP posts:
Doris19 · 14/01/2019 11:01

@ShortandSweet96 love it!!
I've just ordered a decaf, attempting to start the reduction process here too.

ShortandSweet96 · 14/01/2019 11:26

The only problem with self weeing off coffee with water is the amount of toilet breaks I need. Weeing like a race horse today!
