Anybody starting their tww?
Mine starts today, my app says test on the 25th so I'm challenging myself not to test early this time!

Come join me for 14 days of symptom spotting and a healthy dose of moaning about mean AF.

Would I be tempting fate to test at 9dpo on Sunday just with an internet cheapie? I'm going out for lunch with DP family and would strangely be nice to sit there and know I have a secret yo keep from them for a few more weeks!

Hi! Please could I join in?
I'm only just starting my tww and AF due 26/27th not temping or using OPK so not sure exactly when I have/will ovulate Confused

Gumball54 · 14/01/2019 21:44

Do it! I’m going to test on Saturday morning at 9dpo. My friend got her BFP at 9dpo.
I’ve been googling (as always 😂) and apparently symptoms don’t start until at least 6dpo so who knows what these cramps are!

Gumball54 · 14/01/2019 21:45

Hey @takingtheplunge!

Lauraliverpool · 14/01/2019 21:52

@Doris19 according to Flo app, it's the 24th. Have been feeling quite tired last day or so but that will probably be due to running round after a 2 1/2 year old. X

ShortandSweet96 · 14/01/2019 21:55

@gumball54 roll on the weekend for us!

Welcome @takingtheplunge another two week wait-er with AF due 24th-27th of Jan.

This really could be a lucky thread!

I'm tempted to get some internet cheapies and use them to start testing but wouldn't know when would be best to, trying to work out how many dpo I am, peak last wed.

Lauraliverpool · 14/01/2019 21:56

Be amazing if we all got our bfp!! X

ShortandSweet96 · 14/01/2019 22:01

@lauraliverpool if you ovulated on Wednesday, usually AF arrives 12-14 days later. So 24th? Perhaps try testing Saturday at 10dpo?

Could I join you all?

I'm 35, ttc #1, trying for 13 cycles now following MC this time last year.

My body is all over the place due to PCOS, I have booked to see the doctor next week to see if I can go back on metformin to help regulate cycles. I used to take it but stopped as cycles normalized and it made me nauseous.

Anyway, I'm on cycle day 28 and for the second month in a row have no idea if I ovulated. OPKs haven't reached a peak. Have long cycles so AF due in around a weeks time. Cramps today but think it's too soon for implantation so who knows. This ttc lark gets a bit old after a while eh...

tedsy · 14/01/2019 22:21

Hi @agteacht

It does get old.. we've been ttc over a year now - although admittedly many of those months were more not trying to not get pregnant instead of actively trying if that makes sense

Fingers crossed this will be our month Smile

takingtheplungeagain · 14/01/2019 22:21

I get mittelschmerz which is pain during ovulation. Feels very like usual period pain but just on one side could this be similar to anyone's??

Scottish1 · 14/01/2019 22:22

Hi ladies! Hope you don’t mind me joining this thread! I’m 3 days in to my tww! App says I can test in 9 days but going to try and leave it longer, if I can! Wink I’m 38 and this is my second cycle ttc but this month I used ovulation tests, so we’ll see! I have a daughter who is 12 but just got married to her step dad last year and we have decided to try for a baby together! He’s 44 though and says that if it doesn’t happen by March (when he turns 45) then we’ll leave it as he feels too old Grin I reckon I can push for 6 months though... Anyway, hoping it will happen before then and trying to be relaxed about whole thing. Fingers crossed for all of us x

Lauraliverpool · 14/01/2019 22:24

@ShortandSweet96 I'm tempted to do that but scared at the same time. X

Scottish1 · 14/01/2019 22:26

Hi! I’m in Liverpool too! X

Doris19 · 14/01/2019 22:34

Welcome to tonight's new ladies! This thread is getting popular!

I used opk's and tracked CM this month and I'm fairly confident I o'd on either Friday or Saturday, I got ovulation pains on Friday and had CN change by Saturday. I got my solid smiley on Thursday morning.
So not sure I'll be quite 9/10 dpo by this Saturday ☹️ will probs have to hold on until next week 🙄

Pika88 · 14/01/2019 23:04

Hi to all the newbies Smile

So, I'm not sure if I've gone into symptom spotting overdrive and I'm making myself more sensitive or whether I'm having genuine symptoms.
Last night at about 6pm I was hit by a wave of exhaustion, I had to go to bed, but I couldn't sleep and it was 2am before I finally went to sleep. Today, I was again exhausted, had a day off so rested most of the day but didn't sleep. Then tonight I went to the cinema and straight after the movie I felt like I was going to throw up, got home and did throw up and now just feel super nauseous.
I'm only 9dpo, would it be normal to feel sick that soon?

ShortandSweet96 · 14/01/2019 23:44

Just woke up with the most horrendous sticky, hard to swallow saliva and dry cough. Definitely think I have a cold coming:(

T2710 · 15/01/2019 07:59

Hi everyone! Can I join you?
Currently 8dpo and driving myself mad with symptom spotting. Have a had various things which could or could not be attributed to early pregnancy. Couldn't resist POAS thins morning- IC - obviously negative. Thing I will allow one a day til AF just so I can stop focusing on it for the rest of the day.

ShortandSweet96 · 15/01/2019 08:05

Hi @T2710 still very early at 8dpo! Not out until AF arrives. What symptoms are you having? Want to know so I can watch out for similar symptoms myself! Grin

OP posts:
T2710 · 15/01/2019 08:48

Yeah, with my son I didn't get a BFP until 11DPO which is still early. I think I'll allow an IC until 10dpo then try a FRER as last time the line on that was reasonably strong at 11.
I've had the occasional cramping, some pink to brown spotting on Sunday which had stopped by yesterday. Felt exhausted yesterday but that could always just be down to it being Monday.

Doris19 · 15/01/2019 09:32

@Gumball54 @ShortandSweet96 @Lauraliverpool I was thinking about when to start testing overnight... on that countdown to pregnancy website (my new best friend, can you tell 🤣**@Lauraliverpool) there is a table by test brand as to what their sensitivity level is for hog. So for you @ShortandSweet96 could maybe do one of the sensitive ones before your family lunch??
