Crushing disappointment of TTC

TTC number 2 and struggling with the miserable disappointment every month. DD took quite a long time to conceive. Tried for a year, fell pregnant then miscarried at 9 weeks then pregnant again 3 months later. Been trying for number 2 since August and stupidly convinced myself it would be quicker this time due to friends' experiences. But here we are on cycle 5. The not knowing is the worst bit - it could happen this month, it might never happen.

I know that no-one can give me any reassurances but I just wanted to have a moan!

I fished this morning's test out of the bin for some inexplicable reason and saw a faint second line, which is clearly an evaporation line. Just did another test to confirm and it's negative

I was 3 days late. Please try not to worry though as it doesn't mean that is happening to you! 2 tests isn't definitive evidence x

Hi everyone, fingers crossed to all! hope this is the lucky month for you. AF due on Saturday so on the countdown but know the chances are slim. Have so far resisted the urge to buy some first response tests every time ive been Asda, then found myself on Amazon but my sensible part of my brain managed to overcome it. I will wait until the weekend at the earliest. This is first period after MC, hoping cycle remains the same as it was. Off to doctors tomorrow for first chat re the MC's and to see if can get my bloods checked. Looking forward to some updates from everyone xx

@MummyBearBoo I'm sure it's fine, the supermarket ones are not as sensitive sometimes, definitely try with a frer! With my first pregnancy I didn't get a BFP until the day before AF was due and that was with frer, tried so many others before and nothing showed up.

@TheChineseChicken I'm sure one night shouldn't be an issue! That's how I feel about caffeine too...I limit myself to 2 cups of tea a day, I can't cut it out completely I would really hate it.

Anyways this is what my BBT chart is looking as of this morning, it couldn't look more like a BFP triphasic chart but I still don't want to believe it. I could have tested this morning (10dpo) with some frers I'm saving but I couldn't bring myself to do it 😪

Pinkstar I don't know a lot about charts other than continuing increase is a good thing. Are you going to wait until AF is due to test? It would be great if we got some more BFPs

I've ordered some more CB digitals tonight and will re-test tomorrow coz I got my BFP on one of those they after my period was due xx

I'm pretty sure I am pregnant but why is it sooo hard - I just need to test tomorrow but the days are dragging!! Xxx

Anyone on here who has had a CP, was your next cycle messed up? I'm wondering if we need to keep up DTD every other day longer this cycle just in case. I have no idea if I have ovulated or not and feel like I haven't had EWCM the same as usual

Sorry ladies got a BFN this morning think it sane as you @TheChineseChicken - guess I just have to wait for my bleeding to start - I was needing to pee every hour yesterday so struggled to POAS this morning!! Did you count the day you started bleeding as CD1? Good luck to the rest of you! Xx

I got a false BFN with my DD at 2 weeks but I don't think this one was a false one coz I tested positive on Saturday with the same test! X

Oh no, I'm so sorry. What a huge disappointment for you. Yes, I counted CD1 as the day that bleeding began. I'm yet to see if this cycle has been knocked out of kilter or not but as I was only a few days past AF due day I assume it won't be affected too much. Look after yourself today

I guess if you don't start bleeding today then test again in the morning

If I haven't started bleeding by Friday then I'll test again coz then my period would be a week late! Xx

@TheChineseChicken -how long after your BFN did you start bleeding? My period is now 4 days late and I'm not bleeding yet? Xx

I had a very faint line on a FRER but a not pregnant on a CB digital then started bleeding a few hours later. I didn't test again after that so don't know when it would have turned negative

This was 3 days after AF was due. I hadn't don't a CB digital before that so don't know if it would have been positive

So do you think it's likely I'll start bleeding today? X

I'm really don't know, I'm afraid x

@TheChineseChicken that must be annoying not knowing if you've ovulated or not, have you thought about temping? I'm glad I started because it gives me a clear indication to when I OV, even opks didn't work for me.

So I took an FRER this morning at 11dpo and BFN obviously, but I've got way more symptoms than I normally do so I dunno what's going on. I've got a really bad headache right now, sore boobs which I don't get, I've been freezing the last few days especially my hands and feet can't seem to warm up! And lots of rumblings in my uterus area even though AF isn't due till Friday. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Still no sign of AF it's 4 days late my pee this morning was more dilute than on Saturday coz I've been trying to drink more water since then so I'm wandering if this caused a false negative - If AF doesn't show up I'll test again Friday coz by then it will be a week late!! Xx

Most cycles are like clockwork so I haven't bothered before - it only just occurred to me that this cycle could be messed up post CP. It might all be fine though.

Sorry about the FRER but you still have time! Maybe try again in a couple of days

@pinkstar01 I'm the same, symptoms I don't usually get before af (and that I did have around when I got bfp with dd!) but bfn... I'm 2 days late now 🤷🏼‍♀️ you're only 10DPO so test again in a few days 🤞

Can someone who uses OPKs tell me - I have used the cheap strips the last few days just out of interest. I realise you're supposed to use them consistently but the line I have seen has got progressively fainter. Does that mean a surge has happened or is there natural fluctuation during the cycle anyway? Just wondering if I can read anything into it
