@cupcakesandglitter maybe time to book a GP appointment and ask for a blood test?

@Jessikka when I came off cerazette years ago it took 6 months for my cycle to regulate and I had withdrawal symptoms for months (pregnancy symptoms). Cramps, nausea, random spotting, sore boobs - the lot. I probably spent more on pg tests during that time than I do now. But everyone is different- that’s just my experience. You probably just need to give it time for your hormones etc to settle and just track symptoms on Ovia or similar until they settle

Jessikka · 31/12/2018 10:25

@cupcakesandglitter I can handle the nausea and I can handle the cramps but what i CANNOT handle is the pulsing in my lady bits! Haha!

It's making me want to pee - I averaged 2hours last night.

stormtrooperjulian · 31/12/2018 10:25

@cupcakesandglitter that’s so frustrating! Is it possible you ovulated really late? Maybe if AF or BFP doesn’t show up in the next few days you should consider going to the doctor to see if they have any ideas on what’s happening

@Jessikka I really struggled for a few weeks after coming off birth control (I had the implant). I had pretty much every pregnant symptom in the book, I guess due to the hormone crash or whatever, but the worst was the constant nausea. I lost over half a stone cos it was putting me off food. I also had a lot of pinching and cramping in my lower abdomen, sore boobs, dizziness. I think it was pretty much 4 weeks on the dot after implant removal when I felt properly normal again, which is when my first AF started.

Jessikka · 31/12/2018 10:26

Thanks ladies I feel better. Until this morning I was just playing along in my happy little bubble but this morning I let myself panic a little.

I'm back on the positivity train now - that was a close one. Haha!

Xx

cupcakesandglitter · 31/12/2018 10:28

@stormtrooperjulian @Keyboard91 I do get on quite well with my doctor but I know he'll say maybe I ovulated late... I think I'm going to wait until Friday? Then I'll call, but I thought if there isn't enough hormone to show up on a HPT, it won't show on bloods? X

KatBeCool · 31/12/2018 10:50

@cupcakesandglitter I had a friend who never had it show on a hpt, but the bloods proved it. But you do need to wait a bit longer for that. I'd say at least one more week. Just remember, if you're pregnant, it'll still be there, poas or not.

cupcakesandglitter · 31/12/2018 10:52

Thanks @KatBeCool maybe I'll wait until next week to call then xx

Keyboard91 · 31/12/2018 11:07

@cupcakesandglitter my sister is a midwife and she said that some people don’t excrete enough hormone for a hpt to work properly, but that it shows up on bloods. She had a lady that kept getting bfn and that when she was finally referred for a scan (insupportive gp) she was 5 months!!! Maybe wait until Monday, POAS if no AF and then GP will have to listen :)

Michelle2018 · 31/12/2018 11:31

Hi guys, just an update, another BFN on the one step tests, these are internet cheapies. I'm now 14 days late for my period, keep getting cramps, am moody and still have the sore boobs. Does anyone know whether a doctor will consider taking bloods at this point? Don't want to waste their time making an appointment if it's likely they say to wait until I have "missed" another period. So confused right now. Congrats on the recent BFPs for everyone Smile

EltzBee · 31/12/2018 11:35

@Michelle2018 try a better test, FR or even a pharmacy own brand are good. Boots one brought my bfp up day after missed period as soon as I saw a huge spike in my temp.

Internet cheapie tests aren't always as accurate as they claim.

@cupcakesandglitter might be worth giving the GP a call. I think NHS advice is to of AF is so far late.

Michelle2018 · 31/12/2018 11:40

@EltzBee thanks for your message. I have a CB digital to use but was waiting for a line on the internet one before using as they are super expensive. Crazy how much research you do when TTC!!! I'm actively trying to relax but it's having the opposite effect!

MrsLBear · 31/12/2018 11:42

Thank you so much to all of you!! 😘😘😘😘
It's so surreal! I don't think I've gotten my head round it all. Seems more like a weird dream.
I did a cb digital and it came up with 1-2 weeks! So I'm trying to keep positive and hopeful for a sticky bean 🤞🏼

Sorry to hear that @cupcakesandglitter I really hope you get some answers soon. Either way, as being in limbo is the absolute worst.

I've got everything crossed for you girls that you all get your BFP! You all deserve it! I hope I'm still welcome here, I started my journey on this thread!
Thank you all for your lovely messages.

cupcakesandglitter · 31/12/2018 11:49

Thanks for letting me know @Keyboard91 xx
thanks @EltzBee And @MrsLBear Xx

I've called the doctor because I can feel myself panicking (I have anxiety) and it's ruining my mood. A chat with my doctor will put me at ease I think! Just waiting for a callback, will keep you updated x

MrsH497 · 31/12/2018 12:02

Aww @MrsLBear such fantastic news!! Good clear line and a digital thumbs up as well! Brilliant way to start the new year! I may consider trying the CB ovulation tests after a couple of cycles of trying.

@cupcakesandglitter you poor thing I agree with the other ladies give it a few more days then GP appointment. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Got good feelings for us all in 2019 ladies.
X

MrsLBear · 31/12/2018 12:17

Yeah let us know what the doctor says @cupcakesandglitter.

My best friend suffers from anxiety so I totally get why you'd be concerned. Get your mind at ease ❤️

MrsLBear · 31/12/2018 12:18

Thanks @MrsH497!! I'd highly recommend them as it's clear when you o (I know it's still not certain) but that with temping I could really pin point it too. Also it helped with my stress of "is my body even working properly". They are a bit pricey but I thought that way at least I knew what to look out for next cycle.

cupcakesandglitter · 31/12/2018 12:20

Thanks @MrsLBear x

Currently crying in bed after a stupid row with DH. We were supposed to wake up early and go shopping - again he woke up late, I didn't say anything to him I just got up and showered. He got up in a miserable mood which has just pissed me off, I'm already stressing and I've said I just don't want to do anything today now, my mood has completely dropped. DH thinks it's my fault and I'm being irrational. I just want to sleep but need to wait for the doctor to call

Keyboard91 · 31/12/2018 12:31

@cupcakesandglitter oh sweetie :( I’m sorry :( men just don’t get it sometimes. My DP can be the same. You need a cup of tea, a blanket on the sofa and Netflix to distract you until Dr calls xx

cupcakesandglitter · 31/12/2018 12:38

Thanks @Keyboard91 yeah I think tea and Netflix would do the trick. Doctor called back, I explained the BFP then BFNs and he's booked me in for an appointment later. Have a feeling I'm just going to get fobbed off but we'll see x

MrsH497 · 31/12/2018 12:40

@cupcakesandglitter oh hun definitely a cuppa maybe some biscuits or chocolate and snuggle up. Give DH a cuddle and have a good cry let it out xx

EltzBee · 31/12/2018 13:27

@cupcakesandglitter ah hun. I struggle with anxiety as well (I take a low dose of sertraline daily which thankfully keeps it in check to the most part).

@Michelle2018 oh they really are ridiculous money. I've saved my Digital for tomorrow Grin despite getting my bfp over a week ago on a Boots and FR test. I heard they're so much less sensitive.

The boots own brand aren't too pricey if you get there :)

@cupcakesandglitter keep positive about GP appointment and let us all know.

I couldn't have got through the past 6 months without you ladies.

stormtrooperjulian · 31/12/2018 14:05

@cupcakesandglitter sorry your DH is being a bit of a twat, has he apologised yet? Hope the doctors appointment goes well, let us know what happens

@Michelle2018 do you know when you ovulated?

@MrsH497 I’ve got a CB ovulation test in my Amazon shopping basket ready for next cycle, hoping it will be a bit clearer than the cheap ones

FlapJackered · 31/12/2018 16:26

@cupcakesandglitter so sorry you're having such a rough time and that is really not good that your DH is making everything harder. Does he know how upset you are? I really hope you get some answers from the doc. Let us know how you get on. X

MrsFraserB · 31/12/2018 17:27

Hi,

I'm new here.

34 TTC #1.

Can I join this thread?

Thanks!Smile

In for New

AnnaMC214 · 31/12/2018 17:40

Hi everyone!

I'm hoping you won't mind if I join too?
I've done a little bit of lurking since DH and I started ttc #1 in Sep but finding all the 'bus' threads a bit confusing!

A bit about me:
I'm 32 and DH is 36.
I had my Mirena removed in Sep which I had for 6 years and before that I was on the pill.
I had convinced myself Dec was going to be our month but AF is currently visiting. Sad
