@stormtrooperjulian it went back up 🤦🏼‍♀️ I am just so sure I'm out this month that I am being prematurely negative! Af is due tomorrow or 31st. How are you? What Cd are you?

thosethreewords · 29/12/2018 13:18

@FlapJackered ahh that's interesting about the isoflavones! Good news about the temp and FX that feeling of it not being your time is just emotions. Really hope it's not AF!
I'm 5 DPO. Trying to hold out until at least 12 DPO. I think my AF is either due then or 15 DPO.
Definitely doing dry January 🤢

I need to chill out today. I'm saving maternity outfits in the ASOS sale... next level crazy!

starkid · 29/12/2018 13:30

@thosethreewords - see 4am is what I thought, but I don't want to pee my DH off with my rustling/beeping etc. so early... maybe I'll give it another go next month if this one isn't successful though, as for example with this month and getting 2 positive ovulation tests 2 separate times of the month, would be useful to compare with temps and see what's going on exactly.

Also, I save baby clothes/objects I like the look of constantly... I think we're all a little crazy on this thread haha! Grin

KatBeCool · 29/12/2018 15:30

@FlapJackered I have an allergy to alcohol too! I've never met another person with this allergy and people look at me like I've gone mad when I tell them. I've been able to narrow it down though, so it's not all alcohol but only some things. And it only goes worse from here. It's only some brands of wheat vodka and tequila, usually cheaper vodka, but not the most expensive. So when I ask for top shelf and people laugh that I can't tell the difference, my body can. What reaction do you have?

@starkid put a blanket over your head when you temp, your DH won't hear the beeping a the blanket will muffle it enough. Temping is helpful. Unless you're me. I ovulated, temp went up a bit above the cover line for 1 and 2 DPO, and now for 3 and 4 DPO it went below the cover line. My boobs are still sore and I'm constantly hungry, plus I'm feeling little twinges sometimes, so obviously I ovulated as that wouldn't be happening if corpus luteum wasn't releasing progesterone, which happens only after the egg was released. I've read about slow temp rise, and fallback rise, and staircase rise, and somehow I manage to have them all. My chart is like a jigsaw puzzle met rubics cube and they're both playing jenga while downing the tenth bottle of gin.

cupcakesandglitter · 29/12/2018 15:47

Hi ladies, thankyou so much for your support, I'd reply to them all individually but I thought it'd be best just to say thanks to all of you - I've been a part of these threads from the very first one (and in fact the threads that lead to this one) so I've gone through a lot of ups and downs and I guess I just don't know what's best for me 😂 but I'm here to stay!! So thankyou again, don't know where I'd be without you all ❤️

So I did a FRER this morning, as the pee went across a very pink line came up but then disappeared almost instantly - I've been checking my cervix as I'm CERTAIN AF is going to show (and have been for the last few days) but absolutely nothing. It's not dry, and I'd say medium (I don't think I've done it long enough to know whether it's high/low yet). I didn't temp this month, but I took my temp this morning just out of curiosity, and it's the highest recorded temp of mine since August. Don't know if that means something? But then I've changed to my winter duvet.. but then I also had the windows open 😂 DH has told me I've been super hot in the last couple of weeks, and I'm usually that person that's ALWAYS cold.. so I have no idea what to do. Bought more FRERs (again) for tomorrow/Monday to see. Sorry for the ramble 😂

Keyboard91 · 29/12/2018 16:31

Glad to see you back @cupcakesandglitter ❤️ I have everything crossed for you. It’s never simple! Much love xxxx

Eating more normally now (although nowhere near my usual appetite and still fancying blander foods). Had lots of weird cramps in my lower abdo and feeling weird sensations which is completely new to me ... putting it down to my digestive system rebooting? I’ve had a 4 day AF over Xmas so very much doubt it’s what my heart is trying to convince me of ha! Also absolutely exhausted so had another sofa day today. I’m a teacher and I’m super pissed that I’m ill in the holidays as I know I won’t be properly refreshed and ready to go back next week grr!

stormtrooperjulian · 29/12/2018 18:17

@FlapJackered I’m on CD11, ewcm started today and I’m expecting to ovulate at some point in the next few days - it’s been on either CD13 or CD16 for the past 5 cycles. Feeling fairly positive about this cycle at the moment. Not sure why though, I’m not sure that eating my body weight in chocolate and mince pies on a daily basis for 2 solid weeks is going to do wonders for my eggs 😂😂

DayDreamer1707 · 29/12/2018 18:28

@FlapJackered thought it was my AF but had nothing since but some brownish spotting 🤷🏼‍♀️

Travelled to mine and the OT half’s best friends to bring in the new year....hoping for lots of BFPs x

19Bee2 · 29/12/2018 18:43

Hello all,

I am hoping I can join in with this thread, which I have been following quietly for a few months now. We have been waiting (excruciating at times!) to start trying in January for various reasons: jobs, holidays, finances etc. I have been tracking my temperature since September in an attempt to get to know my cycles and learnt SO much about cycles, luteal phases, ovulation signs etc. from following this thread, so thank you.

I should introduce myself:
Age: 27
TTC: #1
CD: #3
Cycle: 1

It's been lovely to see people receive the positives they want, and equally heart-warming to see people comfort each other in difficult times. This seems like a very supportive online place to be.

So, here I am, CD3, likely to ovulate on CD15-17. We both have busy work schedules and the last few months of 2018 were stressful for a variety of reasons, so I am hoping that TTC will force us to set aside time for each other and reassess priorities. I am an obsessive planner/worrier but am hoping I can start with a relaxed attitude. Any tips from people on how to approach this journey would be gratefully received!

A belated Merry Christmas to you all. I hope you are enjoying this time before New Year and are ready for the fresh start it brings.

GemmaJen · 29/12/2018 19:49

@DuchessofPemberley I'm using the clever fox planner in 2019, it's part bullet planner and part pre set layouts, so lots of room to personalise and add extra lists. So far I'm loving it. Really handy A5 size too.

@KittieKath thanks, now just to get through new year with the in-laws, lol. Tbf they're lovely so it'll be a nice break Smile

@starkid @MrsH497 I use a BBT monitor called the ifertracker, it takes temps through the night, so if I get up I still get an accurate BBT. So far I'm happy with it, I get really consistent temps with clear trends. I'd recommend it X

TrashKitten10 · 29/12/2018 19:51

@19Bee2 you sound like my TTC twin! I'm also 27, cycle #1, TTC #1 and on CD2. And also a complete stressy worrier Grin You must be so excited getting to try at last and you're in such a good position having got to know your cycles. I've just finished my last pill packet so hoping to get into the swing of tracking my cycles soon. Good luck everybody, here's hoping 2019 is our year Smile

Keyboard91 · 29/12/2018 19:59

I grew up with my nan. Love her to pieces. And I love love LOVE when we catch up on the phone or see each other. Until this evening when she rang and the conversation got onto great grandkids and how she has no babies in her life :( I’m trying nan!!!!

CD7 so time to start dtd more often (which I am positive my DP will be thrilled with Wink )

GemmaJen · 29/12/2018 20:01

@FlapJackered Ive not looked at soy yet. I need to do some reading on supplements. What do you recommend, I'm currently just taking omega oils and folic acid.

@Michelle2018 that sounds awful. Do you temp, do you know if you're heading towards af?

@cupcakesandglitter hopefully a few days will help, it certainly sounds like something is happening on the test. Got all my fingers crossed for you x

Paddypaws91 · 29/12/2018 20:05

Hi everyone

@TrashKitten10 @19Bee2 I'm also 27 TTC#1, cycle 1!

I'm CD 18, currently in the TWW. Going excruciatingly slow, doesn't help being off work and currently in limbo between Christmas and New Year. Trying to keep as sane busy as possible! Confused

cupcakesandglitter · 29/12/2018 20:07

Thanks @GemmaJen I'll be happy with either right now xx

thosethreewords · 29/12/2018 20:11

@starkid yeah I can understand that - my DH wakes up every day when the beeping of my thermometer goes off... I should be more respectful maybe 😂
@KatBeCool Maybe I should start using the blanket!! My DH is allergic to alcohol (the reason why he doesn't drink) he comes out in itchy hives if he has anything.

19Bee2 · 29/12/2018 20:17

Hi @trashkitten10 - it looks like we are! It is so exciting (as well as nerve-wracking as it feels like we have spent so long waiting for the time to arrive!). I hope you get into the swing of tracking your cycles quickly. Such an exciting start to 2019!

Good luck with the TWW @Paddypaws91I hope you can keep busy over the next few days. When do you go back to work?

Paddypaws91 · 29/12/2018 20:23

@19Bee2 back on the 2nd Jan - feels like forever away. Actually looking forward to the distraction of work, haha - how sad!!

Good luck everyone!!!

thosethreewords · 29/12/2018 20:24

@19Bee2 welcome to the group! The more the merrier - it's great getting to know everyone.
Looking forward to work next Wednesday as it's going to be a good distraction! Although it has been nice to be off over Christmas for once!

TrashKitten10 · 29/12/2018 20:32

@Paddypaws91 Yay, hello to you too! Ah I bet you're driving yourself mad. It's a funny enough week between Christmas and New Years losing track of all time without adding in the TWW. Fingers crossed for you that it's good news and that you stay sane until that point!

@19Bee2 How long have you been waiting to try? It is super exciting, I keep thinking how maybe this will be our last Christmas and New Years as just the two of us. Have you told anybody you're trying?

starkid · 29/12/2018 21:11

@thosethreewords - maybe I shouldn't care either 😂

Argh guys this is driving me up the wall!
For the previous 2 cycles I had sore, heavy/bigger-feeling breasts for the week before AF, and each time it got me excited thinking it would be the month for a BFP. And it's happening again at 6dpo with AF due next Thursday, and yet again I'm getting up hopes up likely for no good reason other than AF is bang on track Sad
It feels now like if I actually have any possible symptoms, it seems more an indicator of not being pregnant, than the alternative.
Gah! PMS on the pill was so much simpler 😂

cupcakesandglitter · 29/12/2018 21:17

@starkid I know that feeling 😂😂 my nipples have been swollen and sore for a week now, and my boobs are so sensitive - WHY DO THEY DO THIS TO US!!!!

Keyboard91 · 29/12/2018 21:18

@19Bee2 @TrashKitten10 I’m also 27 (for another 33 days!) and TTC #1. We’ve had 2 months where we haven’t actively tried but haven’t actively prevented. So this is our first cycle of properly trying :) CD7 today

ttc12019 · 29/12/2018 21:26

Hi All,

Just wanted to join in too!

I'm 29 and DH is 36.
Ttc #1 after talking about it for months and months and deciding when is the right time and will we ever be financially ready for a baby. Decided to go for it now as there might not be a right time ever if we keep discussing it haha
Just finished AF yesterday.

Hoping to get some advice from everyone and share tips and tricks Smile

KatBeCool · 29/12/2018 22:15

@thosethreewords blanket works really well, sometimes I can barely hear the beeping myself. I get same type of reaction to alcohol as like from pollen or dust, exactly like hay fever. About 3-5 hours of complete misery.
