Anyone else finding out around New Years day? We dtd last night and this morning got a static smile... Although, I am confused really if that means I ovulate today or tomorrow...

@StarlightIntheNight I'm due to O on the 23rd. So AF will be due around 4th.

I've had a flashing smile for the past 2 days but have plenty of ewcm so will be continuing to dtd for the next few days at least and hope to get a static tomorrow!
As far as I understand + opk indicates ovulation in 12-36 hours

I O'd (I think) last Weds or Thurs, and I have a 16 day LP so AF due on either 27th or 28th December. I'm not holding out much hope for this cycle but still keeping everything crossed! If AF doesn't arrive I may try to hold out until New Years Day to test.

I got a solid face today backed up by a positive internet cheapie. We dtd yesterday and today and will continue daily for a few more days just in case. I'm really hopeful it's not a false positive because I'm on day 87 of this cycle and truly fed up.
If all is correct I will be testing on New years.

I am due to test the 29th ish. As I got a positive opk on the 15th. So keeping them crossed I have no AF. 🤞

We dtd last night and today I got the static, so I will dtd tomorrow. I am hoping we got it right! I wanted to dtd the night before and today...but ah well...at least we got it in last night. Crossing fingers.

I think I will test a few days before, as we are going on holiday and obviously if I know Im pregnant before we go I won't be drinking....plus I doubt I would be able to wait all the way until Jan 1 to test!

mrss2018, how many days has it been flashing? Mine usually flashes two days until I get a static. But once I got four days of flashing before the static. Hopefully your static comes soon. How long is your cycle normally?

@StarlightIntheNight this morning was day 3....my cycles vary between 24-33 days...🤔 this is the first month using the clear blue digital tests....

mrss2018, ah usually you get flashing 2 days at least, but not unheard of 4 days of flashing. I think its only a issue if it goes beyond 7 days...I forgot the exact number. It says on the instructions though if you go to a certain amount of days it will say stop testing and wait to next cycle. It does make it more difficult to pinpoint ovulation when cycle is not regular.

My first two I was clock work so very easy. Now its been 5 years since I was last pregnant and my cycle is not as perfect as it was. The first two times I didn't use ovulation tests. But because my cycle is confusing this time around I am using them.

I was reading that if the test missed your surge it will continue to flash...all other symptoms suggest I've ovulated so I'm hoping that's the case!
I guess if your surge is short you can miss it just testing in the morning- time will tell!

Is everyone eating and drinking as normal during the 2 ww? Not easy to be good when its the holidays!

@StarlightIntheNight I have been eating and drinking as normal, but as I get more into tww I'm thinking of not drinking. Difficult over Christmas!

I don't drink during the TWW but it had completely gone out of my head that I maybe shouldn't be eating certain cheese 🙈 this will take some getting used to. Think I'll eat as normal but not drink.

I'm in the TTW and have only had two small drinks of cider. I'm not a big drinker though and my DP doesn't drink at all.
Eating normally though.

I can’t decide whether to do a frer on NYE should be 9dpo if I ovulate today as expected and be excited if I was pregnant in 2018 or if I do one NYD and it’s a bfn I’ll start the year pissed off!

I would wait on testing if it will make you pissed off. Especially 9 days post ovulation rarely gives a positive even if you are pregnant as it’s so early.

Crossing fingers for everyone! I will test a few days early as I’m hoping if I’m pregnant it will pick it up. Would rather know as early as possible as will on holiday so want to know if I need to stop drinking or can enjoy a little .

Anyone symptom spotting? I feel bloated, breasts fuller and smells seem stronger. But then again I’ve had this before and was not pregnant!

Hi all, I think I’m 9DPO on New Years Day, so probably will test with FRER but I know it’s probably too early really and if I get a BFN, I’ll have to test again anyway. I am on the look out for symptoms to spot but nothing out of the ordinary so far .
