Hello gorgeous girls,

I am willing to try anything new while TTC.
18 months and nothing yet. Switched my milk from cows to soya...
Currently taking sevenseas contraception pills
DH is taking wellman contraception
Quit smoking

Is there anything specific which supported you while TTC?

Hints and tips needed xxxx

I did one step opks from Amazon which tell you when you have a surge of lh which can show your ovulating, download ovia app it's good for tracking periods and cycles, I drank grapefruit juice (awful but increases cm and I believe it worked for me) and I took pregnacare trying for a baby as it has something in it which encourages ovulation. Goodluck xx

I got pregnant a couple of months after I stopped using Tampons. Absolutely no idea if that had anything to do with it but that is with 7 years of no contraception, interspersed by an IVF pregnancy.

Conceive Plus Fertility Lube
Hubby gave up smoking and coffee

Clear blue ovulation kits. It cost about £20 for a month but I got pregnant in month 4 (and the first 3 I was detoxing off of the pill). They work really well.

Theseptemberissues · 09/12/2018 13:39

Clear blue ovulation kit - fell pregnant first month we used it. I was ovulation later than the apps etc suggested!

whystay · 09/12/2018 13:46

Maya massage. It got rid of all the old blood etc that had built up over the years snd loosened up any adhesions and I fell pregnant the next month. Have had friends who also did it and had good results.

I reckon acupuncture made my ivf cycle work.

High dose coq10, l Argentine, alpha lipoic acid, fish oil, vit c with zinc and very low carb/ sugar diet for three months before my cycle too!

Chanel05 · 09/12/2018 16:05

@physicskate I’m looking to try acupuncture this cycle, when would you recommend having it?

Yakadee · 09/12/2018 16:13

Preseed! Obviously I can't say for sure that it was that that did it but first time we used it got bfp. Heard a lot of similar stories too x

bedtimestories · 09/12/2018 16:17

Reflexology, my reflexologist said my fallopian tubes were blocked, went back again and she said they were clear now, my response was I'm pregnant

flumpybear · 09/12/2018 16:19

Agnus castus
High concentration evening primrose oil til ovulation only
Lost a bit of weight as big heavy (try opposite if you're a little lean)

Elfinablender · 09/12/2018 16:20

I went on holiday and put on some weight. We'd been ttc for almost two years but in might be coincidence.

smiler0206 · 09/12/2018 16:23

When we were ttc with our first DD. I used to do a grandstand after sex, it was a bit of a joke really and made us laugh but we still think that was why I got pregnant so soon after starting head stands

jessstan2 · 09/12/2018 16:24

Having sexual intercourse did it for me. Didn't try as such.

mumtobexx · 09/12/2018 17:38

@whystay I've had a read on the massage...did you go once? When you finished AF or? I am amazed at the results from that massage- ive never heard of it!!!! Xxxx

Green tea (decaf) in huge amount until ovulation-good for cm. no swimming or baths.

mumtobexx · 09/12/2018 17:44

@bedtimestories I have been reading up on reflexology. Not sure how I compare it to maya massage...can't afford both before Christmas lol. Did you have reflexology only once before you got your BFP? after AF or during? Currently on AF, could maybe arrange this for before I next ovulate xxx

mumtobexx · 09/12/2018 17:46

If you are on Instagram follow Luisazissman
I follow her and she always talks about supplements she took and tells her followers to take when ttc, she then posts loads of messages from people who took her advice and have fallen pregnant .

Just realised she has her own website with a section called Maybe Baby where she explains supplements to take
Www.luisazissman.co.uk

I personally have not taken them as didn't need to but love seeing her posts when girls took her advice and fell pregnant 😊

mumtobexx · 09/12/2018 18:03

@Abkbjbjb just had a look! Oh my word, I had no idea about dha and other vitamins. I didn't want to become too obsessed with TTC incase I was let down. I feel stupid that I have been desperate but haven't heard of all these suggestions. I'm only 24 so didn't want to stress too much! My next cycle is when I am most determined so willing to try anything xxxx

@Chanel05 I had it twice a week for 6 weeks and then every day during stims. Went overboard but i honestly think it helped me relax (and get pregnant when nothing else seemed to!!).

Honestly, in the two a half years of ttc, I feel like I'd tried it all. Vegan diets, high protein diets, all the supplements, teas, my mums shaman was praying for me... the works! It happens when it's meant to...

DwayneDibbly · 09/12/2018 20:08

Gave up smoking, cut down my alcohol intake, and lost a stone in weight. I'd had three miscarriages prior to that but the weight loss and the no drinking really tipped the scales in my favour I think.

whystay · 09/12/2018 20:10

@mumtobexx I probably went about 3 or 4 times before I got pregnant, was going at least once a week at the start. I really believe it was the maya massage that did the trick for me. My first period after starting the treatment (and last period before getting pregnant) was so different from my normal, really heavy and painful, like the massage had really stimulated my womb back into action! If you go somewhere that specialises in fertility, they will probably also incorporate some reflexology, my practitioner did.

Blondemother · 09/12/2018 21:48

Just had a look at Luisa Zissman’s website and she’s recommending having sex 2-3 days after ovulation to try for a boy. So maybe take her advice with a pinch of salt.

Curlypop · 09/12/2018 21:50

Preseed. Worked both times
