Feeling really confused I had my first AF after ERPC on 10th November. Had been using CB to track ovulation this month but ran out of sticks at CD18 and still getting highs after 8 days! Been feeling rubbish past few days and had some pink blood in with EWCM on Friday so did an OPK today and for first time ever with the cheap ones I got a blazing positive!

I am on CD25 seems really late for ovulation anyone experienced such a long cycle after ERPC which was 8 weeks ago now!

I had thought I had a positive early on but must not of done, got all symptoms of ovulation as well right sided pelvic pain which is unusual for me as I usually ovulate from left, and cervix is so high can't feel it.

Just feeling confused x

@OctoberGirl91 I have had 2 positive through my cycle this month on these tests. The first one I am thinking was more my ovulation. I had the OB and pains to go with it but then a week later had another positive, which has faded now but only had cramps with that one. I have put it down to my body still being pretty confused. I have read that people have Ovulated really late like you, our bodies have been through quite a lot. Could be similar to me and your body still trying to figure it's self out again. It's so hard not knowing whats going on x

OctoberGirl91 · 04/12/2018 10:02

Yes I have got a feeling my body has geared up and then egg hasn't been released. I think five myself a hard time sometimes because I so desperately wanted to be pregnant again before end of year but I know if I am not successful will be new year before I ovulate again.

This was the other positive I got but it was only 7/8 days after AF. Done a FRER just to check and it's definitely BFN.

Fx for you @DayDreamer1707

Xx

@OctoberGirl91 I would say your new one is more of a positive personally but I'm no expert as I don't know about my own. I'm same as you, just got teary sat at my desk, I'm so emotional so I'm thinking AF most be coming, otherwise I'm losing it!! I'm currently CD21 and before my MMC I had cycles of around 23 days. Got my first positive OPK on CD12 and then what I think could be another positive on CD18. I don't dare do a test, I sometimes think do one and then I know where I stand and then I think no, just wait for AF. How long did AF take after the ERPC? Do you think the bleeding on Friday could of be ovulation bleeding? These are my OPKs x

Took 5 weeks and 1 day from ERPC to AF and it was a lighter one than usual not very heavy!

I keep convincing myself I've got a progesterone problem! I know I swore to myself this month I wouldn't keep doing pregnancy tests all time as I drive myself crazy especially when I should be nearly 18 weeks pregnant just sucks!

Hope AF stays away xx

fnej01 · 04/12/2018 11:06

@KnitKitty sorry to hear you are feeling despondent. I think you need to view the tests as milestones along the journey. That's the way I am finding best to cope. Getting tests underway is a good first step. Keep your chin up. When I get hope I will look up what tests I've got on specific days and let you know

@strawberrye my first referral I think was to general gynae, but since then I've had another mc. Whilst in EPU I asked who I was best to see for my recurrent mc and the gave the secretaries name. I then contacted the secretary asking to get my appointment to the right clinic. Winging it a bit, but might be worth a go. I also at the same time went to gp for referral to Tommy's. Both referrals mean 2 lots of tests but I'm 38 so I decided I would just push my luck and see what happened.

@Boboelephant hope you are doing well and you get a miracle for Xmas.

ratherbeshowjumping · 04/12/2018 11:12

Morning everyone,
@KnitKitty - sorry to hear you are feeling rubbish. It is so hard to stay positive.

I am on CD12, counting miscarriage day as CD1, and am getting lots of EWCM but no +ive OPK - I have the digital ones so very easy to read.
My last little bean was conceived on either CD11 or 12 last time - which just so happens was the only days I forgot to take OPKs to work.
We dtd yesterday and will try and pounce on DH again tonight, but my question is, is EWCM normal after mc before 1st period at random times or is it a sign of ovulation? I'm so confused.

strawberrye · 04/12/2018 11:18

@KnitKitty @boboelephant @rdm10 @SerenaOverjoyed @TinselBee @DayDreamer1707 @fnej01 thank you all for your reply. I know RMC comes under gynae but my local rmc and fertility unit are in a separate place, not the local hospital where the general gynae stuff happens which is why I was skeptical about it. I have phoned the RMC secretaries who said it doesn't look like I am being seen by one of their consultants for that appointment and are looking into it to see if the referral has been made the to wrong place. My GP did say she would have to ask their secretary about the right place to send it and I wonder if they couldn't find RMC on choose and book so have just plumped for a general gynae clinic instead Hmm will see what happens when I hear back from them - really don't want to wait 3 months to be seen in the wrong clinic!

@OctoberGirl91 I hope AF stays away for both of us but if not then hopefully we will have a simpler more clear cycle next month FX. I haven't done any test as of yet and I want to but only to see a positive, I am trying my hardest to hold off!!! I'm sure there is nothing wrong with you, just your body trying to get back into the swing of things xx

@strawberrye I hope you get things sorted and you aren't messed around. That is the last thing you need on top of everything else x

Laney79 · 04/12/2018 13:30

Hello lovelies. I'll apologise now-tried to keep up with the thread but been away a few days and it's gotten a bit long to catch up properly!!

@strawberrye sounds like you did the right thing by checking-I'd be the same. Would your EPAU be able to shed any light at all? Mine has been fantastic...

On that note @Lilimum5 is it worth trying to get the referal via your EPAU instead of GP if they are being difficult? I know mine has said if I have a third MC they'd refer me to Prof Quenby at Coventry...worth asking?

@Yukka fab scan news-please do stick around. I for one need the hope and positivity that comes when one of us is successful! Keeping all crossed for you.

@SerenaOverjoyed not sure what the season is but I loved Bali/Borneo/langkawi. Could Dubai also be worth a look?

@Boboelephant I feel your pain-one if my best mates is booked in for a section first week of jan (she lost the one before at 16 weeks) and a school friend who caught with her first just as I lost Bean is nearly 38 weeks now-have snoozed her on FB as it's just all about the bump...can't take it. Feel mean but it's self preservation me thinks. Penguin squishies back at ya. @Dimblebimble See above!

@KnitKitty These appointments are real double edged swords aren't they. I know I swing from feeling Uber positive that I'm doing something to panicking that they are just seeing me to shut me up. It's so hard. I completely get feeling down. I really hope they can help you, and that it doesn't take too long. That's what really messes with your head on my opinion, the waiting.

@DayDreamer1707 and @OctoberGirl91 opks can throw odd results now and then. One thing I didn't realise until I was waiting for my negative preg test after my second MMC is that they can throw positives if you still have/have new HCG in the system as the LH hormone and HCG hormone is very similar (I was getting faint BFPs and blazing positive opks at the same time!) -I don't want to give false hope but maybe worth doing a preg test if you haven't already.

@fnej01 Smart move with the referrals! Fingers crossed you get the answers you need.

Sorry to those I haven't mentioned-hugs and baby dust to all.

I'm waiting for my positive opk. CD12 currently and been away for the weekend so had a couple of good BD's! Hoping my cycle is what it was prior to MMC 2 as I was ovulating cd14/15 so timing would be good. Using clear blue connected opks and ic's. Clear blue showing low fertility though which is worrying-would've thought my eostrogen would have been rising by now so I should be getting high fertility before peak thurs/fri...had definite ewcm this morning though. Very odd! But then this is first proper cycle since losing Bow, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I just want my body to sort itself out so I can get pregnant again. 8 months till I'm 40...my clock is not ticking it's positively hammering like Big Ben on steroids...

DayDreamer1707 · 04/12/2018 13:49

@Laney79 I have heard that but I have since done another OPK and it's definitely negative now so god knows whats going on. Not even sure if the second positive was actually positive now as it's faded which I didn't think positives did. FX you get your positive OPK in the next day or so. I am the same and just want my body to get in some sort of routine. x

Lilimum5 · 04/12/2018 14:43

Hello ladies just got a call back from doctor I saw yesterday. To tell me that I'm also anaemic and now have to take iron tablets 4 a day yay the joys

OctoberGirl91 · 04/12/2018 14:52

I've done another OPK and it's definitely still positive so going DTD tonight and tomorrow night.

My positive ha stayed positive from this morning and not faded @DayDreamer1707.

I keep thinking I wish AF would come just to hit reset, on Friday it's been 4 weeks since my last AF xx

fnej01 · 04/12/2018 15:20

Hi so fanny scan appointment done, and sonographer said everything looked normal. So that's one test out of the way.
@KnitKitty I've just dug the letter out and it's only FSH, LH and Oestradiol that he wants done between days 2-6 of the cycle.

Interesting the chat around opk. This month is my first cycle post two back to back MC. I had the strongest OPK I've ever seen and it lasted 2 days, which is much longer than normal. We aren't TTC at the moment, I was only monitoring on IC just to see if my cycle was returning to normal (in part so I could predict blood test appointments). Interesting how much our bodies vary.

DayDreamer1707 · 04/12/2018 15:42

@OctoberGirl91 that's what I mean my first lot of positive OPKs have never faded but the recent ones have. I can send you a picture later. That's why I'm wondering if they were positive. I want AF now because I just think I'm out this month now. Definitely get DTD x

@fnej01 fanny scan....😂😂😂 Our bodies are so frustrating, you'd think it would be one thing we could have some form of control over!

@Lilimum5 and still no referral? I get told I look anemic all the time because I'm pale...brilliant. Hopefully these can start making you feel better x

smerlin · 04/12/2018 16:53

Can I join the thread please?

Confirmed miscarriage today at EPU at 5-6 weeks. TTC #2 - fortunate enough to have 5yr old DD already.

Looking to conceive again as soon as possible to help get over this.

Work has not been v supportive. Had a message from my manager, who I had informed, requesting a work meeting tomorrow abt something vital that has come up at work. DH's work have given him the rest of the week off!

DayDreamer1707 · 04/12/2018 17:56

@OctoberGirl91 @Laney79 can you see what I mean by the recent positive don’t look positive anymore? I’m sure I read somewhere that a positive never fades but I could be wrong. Just my positive OPKs further in on my cycle haven’t faded...

@smerlin welcome and so sorry about your loss, this group of wonderful ladies are hugely supportive.

Yukka · 04/12/2018 21:22

@daydreamer1707 and @octobergirl91 deff the ov timing after mc or MWC is quite unpredictable. Whilst more expensive I found the clear blue opks the best because they track estrogen surge aswell so a false positive due to remaining or new hcg is much easier to spot. You can get them cheaper on amazon than at boots. If you take a pregnancy test at least you know you can rule it out (or in!) and focus on letting your body do its thing xx

@smerlin sorry for your loss, it sucks xx manager sounds a bit insensitive to set the least? Hope it goes ok.

@fnej01 good news on the scan. One thing ticked off your list :)

ttc cd 11 of cycle 6.
Mc at 5 weeks cycle 2.

Like I mentioned on the full thread, I had bloods done for LH and FSH and the FSH has come out at 9.1, which the doctor says is a little high and they want to do them again. Progesterone on day 20...

Has anyone had any experience of these blood tests?

DayDreamer1707 · 05/12/2018 06:53

@Yukka I’m not pregnant as the OPKs went back to negative 😔. Il just have to wait for AF and start a fresh next cycle. Hopefully once my cycles may have sorted themselves out I can then get the clear blue test x

Laney79 · 05/12/2018 07:04

@DayDreamer1707 our bodies are just so all over the place after Mc. I'd never heard of the fading before -useful to know (as I often start doing something else then remember an hour later!)

CD13 and still no high fertility showing on my new clearblue gadget...before losing my second I was getting positive opks anytime from now to CD16 so would've hoped to see high fertility by now. Gah. Just one more thing to obsess about. Should've stuck to the IC's!

OctoberGirl91 · 05/12/2018 07:46

Really confused ladies I've got a second blazing positive with morning with FMU on an OPK and it's nearly been 24 hours since my first I'm on CD26

Can a LH surge last this long? Wondering if something's wrong with my body now. 😥

Bottom one is today and top one yesterday at 8:30am

X

DayDreamer1707 · 05/12/2018 09:23

@Laney79 I'm not even sure if that's true I've read that much stuff about it all. It is only my first proper cycle since my MC so I will wait for AF and go from there.

@OctoberGirl91 that is definitely another positive. My first one lasts about a day and a half ish, then faded. Where as the second (if it was one) only lasted about a day if that and then was completely gone x

granolacrayons · 05/12/2018 09:24

Hey, can I join?

I am about start TTC after my last miscarriage

I'm 34, no children, 2 MMC this year, one in Feb and the last one in Nov

I am being seen by a consultant at the Spire Hospital for some fibroids, I had a hysteroscopy two weeks ago, and he didn't think they were causing the miscarriages. But he did find a patch inside my uterus which was a concern. It looks like a yellow ulcer to me. I am waiting for the biopsy results and I am very nervous about this. Has anyone been through anything similar? He did say that we can start trying again, so hopefully, I shouldn't be too worried??
