@SophiePie 😩💔oh no. Sending you all the luck and best thoughts xxxx

FlapJackered · 28/11/2018 20:25

@SophiePie I'm so sorry hun, I hope it turns out not to be. We are all thinking of you. 💐

mrsof20118 · 28/11/2018 20:51

@SophiePie I'm so sorry you are going through that x

KatBeCool · 28/11/2018 21:01

@SophiePie ohh, so hoping everything will be OK.

KatBeCool · 28/11/2018 21:09

So finally got to poas, the new CB reader recorded a low fertility but my old one now got peak, same wee sample. Although it looks no different than the one from this morning when it read low. Really makes me wonder what kind of logic it uses. I think I'm done with CB, too expensive and more unreliable than internet cheapies.
Top - result from just now.
Bottom - result from this morning. It's just as dark.

I'm pretty disappointed in CB.

Oh no @Sophiepie, thinking of you and sending you big hugs, I can't imagine what you're going through. We are all here to support you if you need it. Let us know how you get on tomorrow.

@delilah7 how are you lovely? Can you send us all some positivity? It's definitely a tough day on here today, so much sad news and new cycles starting.

@katbecool I have read the same as what @flapjackered said about the clearblues that it has to get your "baseline" levels first then detects the surge from there by looking at the increase in 2 different hormones. I may have read it on their website possibly. Let us know how your little experiment goes. I have given up on the CBs as it didn't even detect my surge last time I used it despite getting a positive on the ICs.

@bettythecat I have downloaded calm. It's amazing... I have a 7 day trial but if I like it It's £42 For the year, which is naff all in the grand scheme of things. I will likely keep it. Love the stretches and bedtime stories! Thanks for the recommendation :-)

KatBeCool · 28/11/2018 21:25

@Crossfitgirl that was the experiment. My original reader got low yesterday (less than 24 hrs before this morning), again low this morning, and peak just now. So it should've already known my "base levels" from yesterday. The new reader showed Low. So you possibly use a theory that it hasn't learned my levels yet, but that doesn't explain why my old one didn't work this morning, and then worked now with the same levels (internet cheapie was same this morning as it was now, maybe a touch lighter but still very positive).
I wonder if you had the same issue with CB as me where it didn't detect the surge because of some faulty internal logic.

With that unexpected peak, do you think we should dtd tonight or tomorrow if we just dtd last night (thankfully)? I'm not expecting to ovulate tonight and I can tell every day sex doesn't produce as much (sorry tmi) man juices.

Crossfitgirl · 28/11/2018 21:42

@katbecool I just think the CB wasn't sensitive enough to detect my surge - I always started testing on cd7 but then just never got a positive. Find the ICs far better to be honest but just have to do loads of them! I have a whole CB digital and 20 unused sticks in my bathroom drawer! Lol!

Haven't done them the past 2 months now anyway, as temping is going well.

Anyway @katbecool I would DTD tomorrow maybe in the morning, then possibly the day after just for good measure- even if there is a bit less, at least if ov comes 48 hours after the positive there's no harm in another go.

In other news, my bit of bleeding this morning has gone right back to spotting again, so I'm still waiting for full flow AF to come. She has done this before - tricked me into thinking she's here, then fucking off again for a day and giving me false hope again, then returning heavier than ever the next day! Not falling for it this time Bitch!

Bettythecat · 28/11/2018 21:48

@Crossfitgirl you’re very welcome! Haven’t spotted the stretches on there yet- will have to take a look! Yes I think £42 is really good for the whole year if you use it and I definitely do use it a lot more than the other ones I have tried 😊

@Sullywifey - late response to you here but I am trying desperately not to symptom spot. Was doing it last two months and convinced every twinget and feeling was a “sign”. I’ve had the same slightly itchy nipples as last time (or maybe my bra is just itching 😂) and definitely has some light cramping over the weekend but probably nothing I would notice unless I was obsessing (which I definitely am 🤦‍♀️). Will take your advice and start jotting it down though.

@SophiePie I’m so sorry to hear your news. Take each hour as it comes and we will all keep hoping it’s nothing to be worried about 😘

DayDreamer1707 · 28/11/2018 22:27

@SophiePie I am so sorry to hear you are going through this. There’s nothing worse and on top of it knowing you can’t do anything. Sending you lots of hugs 💕💕💕

sunshine1987 · 28/11/2018 22:54

@sophiepie sending you all the love in the world xxx

FlapJackered · 29/11/2018 06:30

As predicted - Temp drop this morning 😭
God it hurts so much every time. I really thought I might have been in with a shot this cycle.
Oh well, wine it is. 🍷

DuchessofPemberley · 29/11/2018 06:50

I have the Clearblue Digital Monitor, which is stupidly expensive and the sticks are ridiculous too, and out of the last five months tracking it only caught ovulation three times, the other two it registered no peak.

I thought it was just me having an awkward cycle, but if other people are having issues maybe it’s a problem with Clearblue? I was thinking of getting internet cheapies to check, but you shouldn’t need to do that when you’re spending so much in the first place... Confused

DuchessofPemberley · 29/11/2018 07:03

Sorry to hear that FlapJackered it’s never easy when it happens. Is there any chance the dip doesn’t mean end of the cycle? I haven’t looked into temping yet so I’m not sure.

Bettythecat · 29/11/2018 07:25

@FlapJackered I have also had a drop this morning- down to 36.17 from 36.59 yesterday and af due tomorrow so seems like I am also out. Really sucks.

FlapJackered · 29/11/2018 07:43

@DuchessofPemberley unfortunately it's very unlikely to mean anything else other than af coming. 🙁

Sorry you're in the same boat @Bettythecat it's rubbish isn't it. What cycle are you on now?

ValidUser · 29/11/2018 08:04

Even though I'm not trying this month, I'm coming up to day 20 with no ovulation!

Also found out my surgery date is delayed until possibly after Christmas.

Bit of a bummer.

Only thing I'm concerned about is the first doctor told me I could keep trying with my hydrosalpinx. I had a near positive opk on day 14 and we were still trying. If that was ovulation and I did get pregnant, the hydrosalpinx would increase my chance of miscarriage.

I know I'm overthinking this. From reading up, if it came to it I could have the tube drained via ultrasound and needle if I were pregnant. Also because the problem was probably caused by surgery rather than the infection itself, the fluid may be less harmful.

It's a headfuck is this!

Bettythecat · 29/11/2018 08:09

@FlapJackered - was woken up by the cat and to go to the loo at 4am and then tossed and turned a bit. Maybe it’s because of that?! Wishful thinking probably 😫. Cycle 3, how about you?

DayDreamer1707 · 29/11/2018 08:33

Good Morning Ladies 😘

Seems like everyone is having issues with there Clear Blue ovulation tests? I was going to get one but maybe I am best sticking to the cheap One Step. They seem to be working for me this cycle and they don't cost much at all, anyone had an issue with these? I've had my surge, should I continue to test the rest of this month as it's my first cycle?

Sorry that you're both thinking you're out this month @Bettythecat @FlapJackered. I don't temp and maybe it's a good thing to kind of be a little ignorant to raise and drop in temp around certain times in my cycle. FX it is something else causing the changes for you.

Is anyone else at the beginning of their TWW? x

MrsAW2018 · 29/11/2018 08:40

Morning everyone. How are you all doing? I'm on CD11 today and going to start OPKs even though my apps say I'm not going to ovulate until CD22 but I really want to catch it this month.

Mentally I'm not doing too well. Saw my gp yesterday who said I need to talk to myself out of depression. Not sure how helpful that was. I do think TTC is affecting me now - cycle 6 and really wanted a honeymoon baby and that didn't happen. It's heartbreaking every time AF arrives or you get a negative HPT💔.

Sorry for the essay, again. Thanks for all your support.

FlapJackered · 29/11/2018 08:51

@MrsAW2018 I'm sorry but your gp sounds rubbish, is there a better doctor you can speak to? If so I would book another appointment with a different one.
Completely with you on the heartbreak. I can't stop crying this morning. ❤️

@Bettythecat I am going into cycle 7 now (9 months ttc) 😢 it's not looking good.

FlapJackered · 29/11/2018 08:54

Girls I am going to take a few weeks break and probably won't be on much before January. Just going to try and give myself a proper month off this December. Please tag me in any new threads though and any exciting bfps!
Love and good luck to everyone. 😘❤️🤞🏻

Bettythecat · 29/11/2018 09:00

@FlapJackered sorry for being thick with this one but when you say you’ve only had 7 cycles but 9 months ttc what do you mean? Sorry if I’m missing something very obvious here! I’m sorry it hasn’t happened for you yet everyone says it can take up to a year but I don’t know about you but I can’t help but thinking I’m going to be one of the unlucky ones who can’t get pregnant naturally and so knowing these facts doesn’t really provide much comfort does it. Have you been to your GP or had any tests or anything? Xxx

DayDreamer1707 · 29/11/2018 09:03

@MrsAW2018 that's such an awful thing for your GP to say, depression is a serious thing. I have it along with anxiety, the best thing to do is talk to someone, not 'talk yourself out of it'!!! I'm on CD16/3DPO, you can always talk on here about anything that is getting you down. It's helped me massively knowing i'm not alone with my thoughts. That was not an essay by the way and we all love a good read so don't stop posting 💕

@FlapJackered has AF arrived, try and stay positive as hard as that might seem. Have a wine and relax.

It's the 1st of December this Saturday and I think everyone in this group deserves a large glass of whatever tickles their fancy and to crack on the film 'The Holiday' and eat whatever the hell we want!!!
