Hi all - apologies if I've missed anyone out on here, I'm half asleep 😂

Second low temp this morning, BD'd more than we probably should, though DH instigated, even with me being a little crazy about ttc, so can't complain. Blush Think I'll do another OPK later and see if it's the same.

@MrsR16 I don't think pain is a prerequisite for successful ovulation. I've ever had pain or symptoms. Only Ewcm. Are you using Opk's?

Delilah7 · 21/11/2018 07:18

@KatBeCool @FlapJackered thanks girls! Me too xx

MrsR16 · 21/11/2018 08:23

@GemmaJen no I'm not using OPKs, so it's all a guessing game! 😂 although if I get pg this month, it'll be a miracle!

PurrMaid · 21/11/2018 08:37

Good Morning ladies 😃
Touch wood, I think the bleeding from my MC has finished 9 days after starting. I would usually ovulate on day 12 of my cycles, but a HPT I did yesterday had a line, but fainter than one I did 2 weeks ago. So thinking I will ov a bit later than usual.
Still feel like my cervix is a bit tender, but want to start DTD so we don’t miss our chance this cycle. Fx he’s up for it tonight 😝

ValidUser · 21/11/2018 08:44

HSG this afternoon. Wish me luck!

sunshine1987 · 21/11/2018 08:53

@validuser good luck! x

EltzBee · 21/11/2018 09:00

@SullyWifey good luck for today.

My fertility friend app has recalculated and now decided I oulated on day 18. So I'm 5DPO still again! Weird!

stormtrooperjulian · 21/11/2018 09:15

@ValidUser good luck!

I’m 12dpo today, AF due tomorrow and have some light brown discharge (tmi sorry!) this morning so I assume that is AF getting ready to start 😞

MrsAW2018 · 21/11/2018 09:16

@sunshine1987 I'm torn on whether to use them or not. Sometimes my cycles are under 35 days but then other cycles can be 55 days! The amount of people on one of the forums who got pregnant on their first or second cycle using them was crazy! I just don't want to ruin my menstrual cycle I guess! It's a gamble xx

MrsAW2018 · 21/11/2018 09:18

@FlapJackered I think I've read through that... are you tempted to give them a try? They sound fantastic if they don't mess up your cycle!

EltzBee · 21/11/2018 09:20

@stormtrooperjulian sending virtual hugs. Look after yourself today and be kind to yourself. Flowers Cake

sunshine1987 · 21/11/2018 09:27

Got my progesterone test results back and they were 19, can’t find anything through googling but sure he said above 25 meant you had ovulated?

He said all patients now tend to go to female doctors for fertility (mine is off sick) so he’s not very clued up about next steps so is going to speak with someone for advice and call me back about what we do now. Though he did say if CM and pains are saying I ovulate and tie in with temperature and opk’s then he can’t understand how I possibly can’t be. So thinks test was done wrong day or I have lower than average progesterone and either way it can be sorted. Feeing so much better even though I got not very further that it wasn’t all doom and gloom

ValidUser · 21/11/2018 09:39

@sunshine1987 from a bit more reading, some reproductive endocrinologists think you probably ovulated if it's close to 20, but it's still on the low side - maybe not yet enough to support a pregnancy.

EltzBee · 21/11/2018 09:46

@sunshine1987 that's promising at least, and definitely respect a Dr that says it's not their speciality and they will check. I wonder if statistically female doctors are 'better' at working with fertility because they innately understand it more?! I know for us ladies it is sometimes easier to explain to a woman than a man!

sunshine1987 · 21/11/2018 09:56

@mrsaw2018 the only problem is that it’s asking for those who did fall pregnant, can’t get an idea of those who didn’t and it messed up their cycle for? I’m quite regular so feel at ease messing with it, plus the negatives for it put me off at the moment. I might once I get to cycle 12 start looking into it or if my progesterone needs a boost x

sunshine1987 · 21/11/2018 09:57

@validuser thank you that’s interesting, going to do some reading up this afternoon

@eltzbee yeah was refreshing for him to be so honest. I do think women tend to go to female doctors for this kind of thing (I certainly requested female doctors as thought they would understand more), so I get where he’s coming from

FlapJackered · 21/11/2018 10:00

@katbecool - that is what I am a bit worried about - I have just seemed to get them reliably under 33 days so don't particularly want to mess them up again.

@MrsAW2018 - I am tempted but also really don't want to mess up my cycle. I might wait until Feb or March when I will have been trying a year and then give them a whirl on a lowish dose.
Do you think you would try them?

@sunshine1987 that sounds positive - will they retest you?

EltzBee · 21/11/2018 10:16

@FlapJackered I'd let your body try sorting itself out naturally still, I've be worried about trying anything that can potentially cause problems to cycles - and speak to GP, as well, and see what they think.

It's not something I would risk, my cycles seem to be levelling out at the moment.

sunshine1987 · 21/11/2018 10:26

@flapjackered I hope so, I’ve missed the boat this month but hopefully they’ll suggest I can next month when they call back. Can then start 2019 with more knowledge xx

KatBeCool · 21/11/2018 11:37

@sunshine1987 I don't think being knowledgeable depends on the Dr gender. I have a male Dr and he's awesome. It just depends on their specialty and experience.

@FlapJackered I thought your cycles were more or less normal, I wouldn't use soy if I were you. Soy is very potent, especially in the crazy amounts of that supplement.

sunshine1987 · 21/11/2018 12:01

@katbecool I wasn’t being sexist, gender doesn’t matter, just like you said it wasn’t his expertise as in his experience it’s the female doctors at the surgery that know more

FlapJackered · 21/11/2018 12:08

@EltzBee I think you're right. I am seeing my GP on Friday so will ask her. I am hopefully getting referred to a fertility specialist so will grill her too.

@KatBeCool they are not overly regular but the last few have been in the 30s so hopefully they are levelling our now! Lengths have been - 51,55,47,29,38,31,32.
I think you're right though as the last thing I want is to go back to 50+ day cycles! I will wait and see if I can get a referral to the fertility specialist and then see what they make of it.

purplefig · 21/11/2018 13:45

@ValidUser @SullyWifey good luck today!

@FlapJackered oh wow you started off with some very long cycles - must have been frustrating. Though satisfying to see them come down?

How's everyone's mental health doing today? I feel like TTC can take a real toll.

I've had a crappy few days for no particular reason (blaming it on the weather) but today is better already. I've got on top of life admin, taken a walk in the sunshine and spoke with loved ones. I've also made a huge gratitude list, which always puts things into perspective in my experience. Just about to do an OPK then having a nice big cup of tea before an afternoon of productive work!

MrsR16 · 21/11/2018 13:56

@purplefig I'm in the same boat!! I feel really down for no real reason! I hate it because it's not like me at all. I'm glad you're doing ok today though 😊

SullyWifey · 21/11/2018 14:17

Thank you for the luck ladies. I was so nervous and I don't know why!!

So Officially on wait list for Laposocpy as they still suspect it to be Endometriosis. Will be anything up to 3 months though, just have to wait for the letter. But they will clear away anything they find during the procedure so I won’t have to wait for another one. Having an MRI in the meantime to check for something beginning with A... I can’t remember what he said?? It’s all being done through the private hospital which is fab. (Thinking they must have to see x amount of nhs patients or something) The consultant was so kind and I actually felt like he gave a shit. So wait game again.

Although ball is moving don’t feel like I got any further with anything!

Here’s hoping a get pregnant before the operation! 🤞🏻🤞🏻👶🤞🏻🤞🏻

@purplefig I'm with you in the low moods for no reason. My mental health has been tested to the limits his past year!! I brought that up today too with the consultant and he just said that's so normal to be like that suddenly when your on a ttc journey. I said I'm a mess some days and he just laughed and said yup you might just have to ride that out for now.
Glad your feeling positive today xx

@EltzBee really strange it change your O day?? Confusing.

@ValidUser good luck, let us know how it goes. All good steps to knowing more xx
