Why do I do it? Tested At 7dpo bfn of course ! I must be insane lol x

EltzBee · 26/10/2018 10:58

@anitagreen hopefully the urge to test is out your system now at least and you can have a few days til the next time!

MrsNK · 26/10/2018 11:07

I’m 6 or 7dpo and feeling no symptoms at all. Not too optimistic about this month :(

lilWolfe · 26/10/2018 11:08

Hi all :)

I hope its ok to join in. This is my first time TTC or really on the Mumsnet forum. I keep having to google what all the acronyms mean!
Im also realising how very little i know about my body and the reproductive cycle!
I'd love to go on the stats thing but honestly I have no idea what most of it means. I've been on the yasmine pill for 10 years, have just come off and having my withdrawal bleed (honestly only just found out that they arent real periods... im 28) and then DTD as much as possible and winging it once its finished in the hopes that my cycle goes back to normal and i ovulate straight away. I've heard that it can take 6months+ to even start ovulating again! :( So id like to join in on the convo to get and give some baby dust while i keep my fingers and toes crossed!

X

LauraPalmersBodybag · 26/10/2018 11:26

Thanks everyone. Nice to be here...I’m 5 DPO and just started to feel sime mild cramps. Obviously on my break googling mad symptoms. Trying not to overthink myself crazy...!

EltzBee · 26/10/2018 11:36

@lilWolfe welcome. I came off the pill after 15 years, and after my withdrawal bleed, I ovulated the 1st month. 1st cycle was shorter but it's been fairly regular since.
Just like you realised how little I actually know!!!
Would recommend getting some ovulation tests (I have cheaper ones from Amazon). I started temping this month (cycle 4).
Don't worry too much about it taking ages to even ovulate after coming off the pill - everyone is different of course and for some people things do go back to 'normal' pretty quick, others a little longer.

I have been using the 'Ovia' app (and also now fertility friend too) to track my cycles. I think quite a few of the ladies on here do also - it definitely helps to keep track of things and work out what is happening.

MrsNK · 26/10/2018 12:19

@lilWolfe welcome! :) as others have said, I really wouldn’t worry too much. I came off the pill and had my first proper AF 34 days after my final withdrawal bleed. In to my first cycle of TTC and used opks which confirmed I did ovulate. Don’t stress, your body will get back in to the swing of things.

I bought some of the Seven Seas Trying for a Baby vitamins to take as soon as I stopped the pill as I heard good things about them helping your cycle to get back on track, those or something similar might be worth a try. X

lilWolfe · 26/10/2018 17:37

Thanks for the welcome! That's so good to know @EltzBee that your cycle went back to normal that quick. I honestly have no idea what my normal is though. I might just buy a load of ovulation sticks and take one each day, keeping track in a little journal at the moment, im old fashioned that way and prefer it to apps but ill look at them as well!
@MrsNK ill have a look at those thanks - im taking Folic Acid atm but not really clued up on anything else. The research and learning is fun though to keep me baby busy whilst i wait!

Carastarchild · 27/10/2018 11:52

Welcome to the new ladies! Smile

I have a busy afternoon ahead of me, so I will update the stats this evening. May you all enjoy you journey to a BFP.

Good luck to those testing this weekend. Everything crossed for you x

Rachael321 · 28/10/2018 02:09

Had a grump on tonight with OH.

Found out he's away with work next week overnight at the ideal time for babymaking! Also the first in 18months we've spent the night apart. He gave up the nights away for me cause I hated being away from him (selfish I know)

And then on top of all of that, the Halloween party I aranged through work was a shambles! In my opinion anyway.

Just an overall grump and feeling sorry for myself and needed a wee rant x

ChikiTIKI · 28/10/2018 19:54

Welcome new people :) hope you've all had a good weekend xxx

anitagreen · 28/10/2018 20:54

hey everyone bit of a quiet one here have done a few tests I'm not sure if I'm days or 9dpo. Have 3 positives on a blue dye Sainsbury's test. Ic a few evaps after the time limit, and some negative. I know it's way to early to be testing I just couldn't help myself . I've had quite a few cramps today and yesterday, and been so moody my dh thinks I'm actually pregnant due to the snappiness lol but I think that's wishful thinking x period is apparently due in 3 days I'm wondering if I'm out I really hope not x

anitagreen · 28/10/2018 20:58

*8days

ChikiTIKI · 28/10/2018 21:10

Sounds promising @Anita! Good luck for your next test, I hope it's a strong positive! Xxx

anitagreen · 28/10/2018 21:45

@ChikiTIKI thank you xx

BLS1983 · 28/10/2018 22:03

Good luck @anitagreen

BLS1983 · 29/10/2018 07:48

Happy Monday all. Sending everyone positive vibes for this week wherever you are in your cycles x

Carastarchild · 29/10/2018 10:07

Sorry ladies I have really been trying to distract myself and keep myself busy....11 dpo....I'm really feeling the TWW stress now. I think I will wait until I am 13dpo before testing.

Anita I hope you got an answer this morning! Fx for you x

BLS thank you! How many dpo are you now?

Chiki how are things with you? You must be close to ovulating! Have you noticed a difference with your EWCM since you have started to drink more water?

Rachael fx you will have caught the egg by then. I know too well how work schedules can get in the way. My DH works very early shifts and I work regular office hours...He's gone to work when I wake and he's sometimes asleep in the evening before me.

Hey everyone thanks for the positive wishes, I think my positives was all false I used the Sainsbury's tests and had four positives, used ic and majority negative or Evaps, woke up this morning feeling really down and upset wish this was my bfp month xx

BLS1983 · 29/10/2018 13:10

Hi @Carastarchild well done you for lasting go 11dpo. I've been rubbish and kinda stopped the ovulation tests. Silly really. I may have ovulated last Thursday as EWCM and have had it on and off since. Very watery now. The app tells me I should have ovulated Tuesday but it gave me an 11 day fertile window which ended on Saturday. I've been on this journey for almost a year and have no urge to test anymore. We are just making sure to bd every other day and I record symptoms and cm etc. App is telling me my bfp is now due Nov 7th. We will see. X

BLS1983 · 29/10/2018 13:15

@LottieB87 aww it's fab to see you under the graduates heading. :-)

BLS1983 · 29/10/2018 13:17

Sorry to hear this @anitagreen. The wait is rubbish hey and the more we stress the harder it gets but then how are we supposed to not think about something we want so bad. Hugs to you x

anitagreen · 29/10/2018 14:49

@BLS1983 thank you it means a lot feel like I'm not ever going to get there having a lot of watery cm now so wondering if afs on way x
