@LondonKez are you doing OPKs or just temping? Do you have a plan of action or just gonna go with the flow? I'm on cd22 so glad something is finally happening! Funny how some people have cycles as long as I do my first phase!

@38notcounting have you looked into it privately eg cost wise? I'm so intrigued at what it would be. What cycle are you on? Sorry that af is on her way! Worst thing to find in your knickers ☹️

@LondonKez Don't think I could remember to temp at the same time every day plus I'm not too good at the unbroken sleep bit (work stress plus trapped nerve)! Hope you haven't got family staying this weekend xx

@MrsLBear it's only our second cycle but I've had this spotting for years so just want to check that I'm not wasting time. Our local hospital charges £460 for his and hers fertility assessments so it's not cheap. They do ovarian reserve, HyCoSy and semen analysis and an appointment with a consultant, or for £190 you can have a consultation and an ultrasound. I think there are some others round here so I will compare prices and tests, although hopefully we won't need them. I know someone who has gone the nhs route and it has taken nine months to see a consultant so I think it's worth it.

@MrsLBear I just temp. I used to do OPKs but I found it quite stressful, though I know a lot of people feel the same about temping! We mostly dtd every other day from as soon as AF finishes and then every day for about 4 days from CD13 as I normally ovulate on CD15-16. It's not worked so far though 😂😂

I think I'm 11 to 13 dpo took an early result test. Should I do a second one when i next need a pee just to be sure?

@Whisky2014 I read today actually that you should do a couple of tests like on consecutive days. I mean yours is a solid and very clear positive but won't hurt to!!

Yes we are so happy! And i know we shouldn't announce publicly until 12 week scan but we will tell our parents. Mine live nearby but I won't see them on Christmas say. My husband's are staying with us so they will know when they see I'm not drinking. Need to think of fun ways to announce it!

So im confused! How many weeks pregnant am I?! The first day if my last period was 20th Nov but I'm pretty sure I ovulated 7th dec. My Flo app says I'm 5 weeks gestational but how can that make sense if i wasn't fertile until the 7th?

Ps just worked it out so they count the 2 weeks before conception in the pregnancy so sure enough I'm 5 weeks.... wtf

No hang on I am confused again. In the Emma's diary app I put 9th sep 19 as due date as thats what my flo app says and it comes up saying "you are now at 3 weeks pregnant". So how many weeks pregnant am I?

Huge congrats @Whisky2014 ! They usually take it from the day of your last period and that always changes when you get to the dating scan. That's when then measure and give a more definitive date. Mind you, my babies have never got the memo on their due dates 🙄.

Can I ask you ladies about the magical science of ovulation? I'm using the tests for the first time in my life so forgive my ignorance. Are your tests totally negative looking until the very day and then the line is just there? I keep wanting to see at least a faint line but at the same time I know it doesn't work that way!! Does the LH 'surge' really SURGE and you suddenly get a nice positive line that afternoon?

I did mine on the days leading up to ovulation and I think there was always a line of sorted but usually the darkest the day before ovulation.

@Whisky you count from your last period, as you won't know for sure when you ovulated even if you feel like you know the date. So use the period one and then your due date will be corrected by the time you have scans.

9dpo here and feeling impatient tbh

peaky I didnt use that ovulation test so I'm not sure on the data but when i used my sticks the line had to pretty much be the same colour as the control line.

@whisky ah congratulations! I am hoping your good luck will follow me to my own honeymoon next month 😉 My understanding is that the normal count is from first day of last period, so when ppl say they're 5weeks pregnant it is like cd35, but clear blue digital measures from estimated date of conception so it will never match up completely...

Cd19 here (about 8dpo) and AF feels imminent. Getting a bit worried about the short cycles and just praying I hold on until cd21 as if it's shorter than that I will start panicking!! Weird CM this morning (big clump, creamy and a bit yellow TMI sorry!) But also have the exact same usual pre-AF cramping so not particularly hopeful. Still, not out yet I guess!!

Good luck pineapple I do think the honeymoon helped with relaxing me. I'm quite a worry wart.

I keep having like little sore pains in my right side though as if my period will still come. Is this normal? Not cramps just a niggle sore bit

I am finally on holidays! It's been maniac, between work, shopping for presents and getting ready for the big day.

I’m feeling really low today - 9dpo (I think) and just went to the loo and wiped to find pink spotting. The last 2 months have been exactly the same so I don’t imagine I’m pregnant, instead now I’m just filled with fear about having a short luteal phase which might prevent me from getting pregnant. I don’t think this is the norm for me, though I’ve never paid as much attention to my cycles as I am now, so perhaps I’ve just missed it in the past. I’m not getting on with the IC OPKS so think I’ll use clear view next month so I’ve got more info.

I got pregnant with my dd within 4 cycles, she’s just about to turn 3 and I’m just about to turn 33 so I feel like that’s on my side, but I’m scared this time isn’t going to be so straightforward. Life is quite hard and chaotic right now, I was just holding on to hope that this month might be the month. I’m just scared it’s not going to happen. This feels so shit.
