Hey @londonkez great to hear from you too. Holiday was a much needed break. I’m glad to hear that these cramps can happen before ovulation. I’ve also stopped opks and giving SMEP a run for its money 😄 however going to try out the clearblue ovulation sticks a try before jumping in the clearblue monitor trial. It’s a bit pricey 😬😬😬if I’m to spend that much, might look at the Ava bracelet too.

@Carastarchild and I for you!! Hoping we all get the best Christmas present ever. I actually saw SMEP that on another thread but I couldn't remember what it was actually called. Thank you! I looked it up and that was actually sort of what we had decided/what I said we was gonna do but just do it a few more days in a row cos my app doesn't know my exact O date yet. I'm gonna order some clear blue O tests today to come tomorrow cos I don't trust my ICs. Haha he said he would be fine to DTD that much but we shall see 😳😳😳😳 I never wanted it to be a timing thing with it but you can't help it.
Also with regards to fertility testing don't doctors let you go for testing etc if you've tried for x number of months if you're over x number of years. I would just exaggerate the length of time you'd been trying if I were you.

@Flossytots oh you're doing SMEP too!! We are gonna give it a crack this month - but I'm just gonna add in a few more DTDs just to make sure! I normally get slight twinges around O day and I've also had sharp shooting pains on one side too that literally come and go in a blink. Fingers crossed you get it this month!!

@LondonKez that sounds like you've hit the nail on the head to me! 5 days before and the day after! I always tell myself my body doesn't know times and days so you could have O'd 3am and done the deed 6 hours before as that's technically a day before. Fingers crossed for you!!

@MrsLBear you're right about not knowing what time of day O happens. Thank you, I hadn't thought of that!

We've been doing SMEP unofficially for the last 4 cycles and DTD every other day for the rest of the month. Nothing so far, but got my fingers crossed xxx

That's interesting @LondonKez cos we are gonna start DTD every other day - well sort of started it Friday and that was only CD5 and then was planning on DTD every day for 4 days around the time the when app says O day is. Which is sort of SMEP but slightly adjusted.
Have you been doing the 3 days and miss a day thing? Also do you temp etc. Sorry if you've said this already.
I've read so many success stories of SMEP I've kind of got my hopes up but I know I should be realistic!

Yes, I temp but stopped OPKs @MrsLBear. We did SMEP properly and now do our own version around when i think I'm due to O according to temps. I've heard great things about SMEP so don't be disheartened by it not working for me yet though! I'm on cycle 12, so nothing has really worked for me (without sounding too pathetic 🤣) We were DTD every 2-3 days for the months leading up to changing tactics, it's just taking us a little longer x

@LondonKez I find it hard to temp atm with all the Christmas goings out (alcohol making it inaccurate) so hoping that doesn't affect my chances of finding O day.
May I ask why you stopped using OPKs?
Just makes me die that for years and years we tried everything to make sure we didn't fall and now I'm spending £40 on amazon to make sure I don't miss the day.
One of my biggest mistakes was having the injection as well which I've also been told can take years to get out of your system!
You don't sound pathetic at all!

@MrsLBear I only started temping and using OPKs to make sure I was ovulating because we hadn't even come close to me being a day late for AF, so I was starting to worry but constantly peeing on sticks and trying to work out if it was a positive became really stressful. Temping also stressed me out for a while as I was constantly analysing the graphs! I now write down my temp each morning and add them all into the app at the end of the week. That way we know roughly when ovulation is due but have sex because we want to rather than because we have to. Takes the stress and pressure off a bit. Been doing it this way for the last 2 cycles before we start harrassing the doctor who doesn't seem to want to see us yet!

And don't worry about the injection, I've heard lots of success stories of bfps after the injection

And don't worry about not temping. Do what works for you x

I looked at the Ava bracelet, but it's so expensive! It's a pity it is actually so. I have found the clear blue advanced monitor incredibly accurate so far. I am CD 4 and AF has been incredibly light. We have also decided to make a major effort to dtd every second day from cd 8.

I read about the Ava bracelet too @Carastarchild it sounds so good that you don't need to measure. The amount of times I've got out of bed and thought sh** temperature!! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Has anyone or does anyone use the clear blue OPKs? I did my first one today as I'm CD9 but I didn't do first morning wee as I forgot it at work so did it once I got home at lunch time. Another story with this! One of my colleagues opened my parcel from amazon with preseed, FRER and CB OPK in. I died!!!!

@MrsLBear pahahaha! 😂😂😂 Ohhhh!!! What did you do?! I was so paranoid about that happening when I ordered preseed and opks to the office that I ended up stalking the postroom guy around for 2 days... really subtle 🤦🏽‍♀️

We went through a missed abortion in our first cycle at 8 weeks.

We're now going to have our 5th insemination (5th cycle) this month. Hopefully next week or the following.

@LondonKez I died!!! And considering I'm the owner and manager it's even worse!!!! I had every intention of saying no one open my post today and it slipped my mind 😂 I had this feeling it was gonna happen and it had to be the day I ordered preseed as well 😂😂 oh the trials and tribulations of TTC!

I think if I get worse I will investigate an alternative. My DH thinks I'm crazy already. Tbf he's not far wrong!

@Carastarchild we are DTD every other day from CD8 too. Currently on CD9 and we started DTD every other day from CD5 cos I thought why not. Used preseed for the first time and it felt like I was basting a turkey 😂 sorry for TMI!
When's your BFP?

Hi guys. Hope you're all doing well. Saw my GP this evening and been told to go to the hospital in the morning. Still spotting every day and last 2 days it seems to have got darker. Hopefully going to have a scan to see what's going on. I don't feel I can tell anyone in real life so thought I would tell you all. Hoping and praying for good news.

@ChikiTIKI sorry to hear that you're still going through it, must be so worrying. Fingers and toes crossed for you that it's nothing sinister!

Am at cd8 so poas has started. Might wait until I get a high on my cbfm this month to avoid running out of steam.

Hi, just thought id let you know what happened this morning. Had a scan and the baby measures at about 6 weeks, no heartbeat yet and the gestational sac is an irregular shape. They were very sympathetic and put us in a private room after rather than the regular waiting room. Which obviously made me thing this is not good news at all. Got to go back in a week for another scan to see if anything has changed but it's not looking good. Was expecting to be about. 7 weeks so not massively out just the irregular sac thing doesn't seem good at all. Also had an examination and the spotting might just be because I have something called cervical ectopy so basically my cervix is quite red and sore due to hormones. Just got to wait and see really....
