@Welshpugmomma well done for holding it together hun.
I'm due on Saturday :) x x

Congrats @CookieWaffle !

I'm still in the running. Still testing OPK daily and waiting for a positive, am on CD19 with varying cycle lengths so who knows. Test line was very close to being same colour as control yesterday, so fingers crossed for a positive today so can get some action going tonight and tomorrow! :)

Crossfitgirl · 29/10/2018 10:52

@welshpugmomma yay for dpo buddies! AF is due Saturday according to flo, but if it's my normal cycle length then it'll be here at 27 days which is Thursday. Such a short LP! Give me some of yours!! Lol

@flapjackered my FSH level was slightly raised, which my doc said meant my body is having to try slightly harder to release the eggs. I have also read up quite a bit on short LP and the fact I have 3 days of spotting before I come on. Both point to low progesterone. The progesterone is produced by the corpus luteum (the released egg) so if there's not enough progesterone to maintain a pregnancy, it could be a sign of an inadequate corpus luteum. Which I translate to shit eggs.
I mean, I'm not a doctor and that could be bullshit, but from what I've read, it's why docs can be reluctant to treat a short luteal phase or give progesterone supplements - as it can be a symptom (that the egg isn't strong enough to be a viable pregnancy) rather than a cause (of not getting pregnant). If that makes sense.

I've also noticed that my LP has lengthened since I started taking pre conception vitamins. And I'm convinced it's because the vitamins have improved the quality of my eggs, so they are better at producing progesterone and keeping the LP longer.

EltzBee · 29/10/2018 10:56

@Crossfitgirl love your description of the eggs! Does the quality of the egg 'change' based on vitamins then? I know we're born with all the eggs we'll ever have but never really thought about how to maintain or imrprove quality of them..

CD29, 11DPO today. Temperature dropped a teeny bit again from yesterday, just about above the baseline by a fraction. Got a banging headache today so think AF is on her way :( this is a long cycle for me, usually only 26 days.

Crossfitgirl · 29/10/2018 11:09

@eltzbee yeah there's plenty vitamins thought to assist with egg quality - you are born with them but it's the process of the egg maturing fully before release that vitamins can help with. Have a Google, I think B6 is the main one but there are others too.

Have you tested yet? If your LP is longer than normal it could mean you are pg... unless you ovulated late?

I'm signing off now for the day as I have loads to do and will spend all day on my phone otherwise so will reply to anything else later or tomorrow:-)

EltzBee · 29/10/2018 11:26

@Crossfitgirl ah cool will do some more Googling, taking a plethora of vitamins already :D

Not tested as Ovulated late (so not a longer LP phase, just a later one...lol)

Have a good day!

Charm23 · 29/10/2018 11:42

@FlapJackered Omg you found them already! Haha! That's hilarious. Yeah you're going to have to rely on pure will power! We can do this though, we're doing so well!

@sunshine1987 I sent my spare tests back too! Although I did consider keeping them.

@Welshpugmomma I'm still in. CD27. AF due on 1st. Desperately trying to let myself down gently as I always talk myself into thinking I'm pg for no apparent reason

Delilah7 · 29/10/2018 12:01

I so wanna POAS :(

Well ladies, just came back from the doctors where I got my day 21 bloods back. It showed I didn’t ovulate this month (or don’t at all I guess), which doesn’t make a lot of sense to me with my temp chart. So have to go back and get further tests and the day 21 done again. Just one thing after another today x

stormtrooperjulian · 29/10/2018 12:08

@Delilah7 how many dpo are you now?

What vitamins / supplements does everyone take? I’ve just started taking a B complex one cos I’ve heard it’s good for ttc and its making my wee day glo yellow 😂😂

Delilah7 · 29/10/2018 12:09

@sunshine1987 oh hun. That doesn't make sense with your temps!!! How strange. What are they doing now? X

@stormtrooperjulian 10DPO. :( pregnancare conception tablets. X

@sunshine1987 oh dear, feeling for you! what a rubbish result from the docs, but at least they have noticed something isn't right and they can do something about it🤞🏼 it's a tough thing to hear at the time but now they are aware of something they can start to fix it!

AmyRhodes · 29/10/2018 12:39

Graph experts anyone?

I'm an early ovulater (I think). I'm pretty sure my last pregnancy I conceived on CD13.

Just had my first period since MC and have started temping again.

Does it look like I ovulated on CD9?

That was the only day I didn't test, doh! 🤦🏻‍♀️

stormtrooperjulian · 29/10/2018 12:52

@sunshine1987 sorry you got bad news from the docs. Did they explain why your temps suggested that you did o but the blood test doesn’t show it? What’s the next step?

EltzBee · 29/10/2018 12:57

@Delilah7 know the feeling!! I know I will be disappointed but tempted to just to get it out my system Blush

@AmyRhodes looks like Day 8/9 you had a dip. I like Fertility Friend for the temping charts as it puts cross hairs in place when it detects ovulation.

@stormtrooperjulian oh gosh I take a right plethora of vitamins...taking multi-vitamins with probiotics, then seperate Folic Acid, B12, Q10, Selenium with A, C and E and Flaxseed for veggie Omega 3/6/9.

@sunshine1987 sorry to hear you've had a difficult day with the Dr/test results. Could the test just have missed it potentially? I don't know too much about what they do/check to detect ovulation though.

Delilah7 · 29/10/2018 13:00

@EltzBee me too Hun. Me too x x

OP posts:
EltzBee · 29/10/2018 13:07

@Delilah7 think I'm one day on in DPO from you. Keep expecting AF to be there. Espec with temp literally just above baseline for 2nd day in a row.

Delilah7 · 29/10/2018 13:10

@EltzBee just debating what I do if I'm honest!!! X x

OP posts:
FlapJackered · 29/10/2018 13:17

@sunshine1987 I'm sorry hun, but maybe it was just an annovulatory cycle? Hopefully the next set will confirm ovulation especially if your temps show you are. If there is an issue there, there is lots they can do to induce ovulation, so try not to worry about it too much although I know it's hard not to. It's better the devil you know. ❤️

Good knowledge Dr @Crossfitgirl ! If it was only slightly raised hopefully it won't cause a problem, when do you get your blood results back? are you taking coq10 (a high dose over 200mg/day? It's meant to be really good for egg quality but takes a couple of months to kick in apparently)

@Delilah7 me too! Resist the urge!

@AmyRhodes I would say it is possible you ovulated on cd8 but possible you are yet to ovulate as your temp hasn't risen much yet.

Crossfitgirl · 29/10/2018 13:44

Just popped back on cos I'm addicted obvs, @sunshine1987 I know how it feels to have abnormal tests come back, it's an awful feeling. In a positive light, as flapjackered says it could just be an annovulatory cycle - which are totally normal once every now and again. And if not, it's easily treatable - Clomid is one of the drugs used to induce ovulation. It's good they are testing again to double check. Have you discussed with the doc if the timing was right or could you have ovulated late?
@flapjackered no I'm not but I may have a look at that. Yeah the doc said it was very borderline, my levels are 6, but I've googled it and that's actually in the normal range on some websites. But it would make sense- if I ovulated quite late in my cycle, would make sense my body is having to work harder to release the egg and maybe that's what's causing it to be so late. I'm hoping that, if it's something that does need treatment, that they will just put me on something like Clomid (which is I think what they usually use in PCOS anyway) and it'll just stimulate ov a bit sooner.

EltzBee · 29/10/2018 13:50

@Crossfitgirl haha, it's tough to stay away! :D

MrsR16 · 29/10/2018 13:53

I don't know what's going on with me today! Still no AF, now 2 days late. Slight pink tinge when I wipe, but this is not normal for me! Grr...

@AmyRhodes I am useless with charts! I'd definitely listen to the experts on here 😊

@sunshine1987 it must be so frustrating! I've got no idea if it's me having problems or my DH, but we're way too early in the journey for docs to even consider looking at us

sunshine1987 · 29/10/2018 13:54

@crossfitgirl I didn’t get to see the doctor, next appointment is the 21st, the nurse read out my results to me. So I don’t have a clue what any of it means yet. I had a 32 day cycle this month and test was day 23 so wondering if was too early, I “ovulated” on the 19th the apps say.

@flapjackered it’s just the temp that’s throwing me. Didn’t think it was possible for a rise without ovulation 🤷🏻‍♀️

sunshine1987 · 29/10/2018 13:55

@mrsr16 probably not even either of you chick, just luck at the moment. How long have you been trying for? Hopefully you get some answers soon this month. Have you tested again? x

sunshine1987 · 29/10/2018 13:56

@amyrhodes to me it looks like you’ve yet to ovulate this cycle as you’ve not had three high temps after the rise x
