Yammer rules:

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

• Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day

• Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only

• Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways

• Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month

• Thou shalt not be offended by strong language

• Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams

• Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

• Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

@RC1985 no that was my one and only cycle. I came out pregnant with two good frozen embryos.

Honestly, I found IVF very hard and I won't be doing it again. I'm obviously delighted with the outcome, but if neither of our frozen embryos work out, this baby will be an only.

I've just been sitting here all evening, the universe must be teaching me something. Must be patient. So I've been practising patience tonight with dp, just sitting there doing nothing. It's helping. I'm sure I must have learnt my lesson now, I'm two years down the line!

@impatientmammy @RC1985 it was over cooking. Dp cant/won't cook yet expects me to russle something up nigella style every single day. I know it sounds petty but I was seriously annoyed. Like this morning woke up and he said oh fancy eggs for breakfast? Then proceeded to sit and stay in bed....till I made breakfast. Argh! Anyway trying not to get mardy its Sunday after all! I'm either pregnant or hornones all over the place.

How's everyone else doing today?

Hey Yammers, just been trying to catch up on the thread. Been away from the internet for a week or so in the remote wilderness (it's been bliss!). FP arrived today and I've spent the last hour or so crying in the shower. Forgot my contact lenses were in when rubbing my eyes so just spent 10 mins fishing them out from the back of my eyes. Feel sick now!! I've been feeling fine about the ttc thing this month so I'm surprised how shit this period has made me feel.

Hi all, can I join please? I'm 23,TTC #1, Cycle 6 (or 8 if you count the couple I tried last year). Waited bloody ages to be able to TTC, and I'm just getting pissed off really - need somewhere to rant. Appreciate it's not a long time to be trying, but I started AF at 5DPO last cycle and yet every month wishfully convince myself this could be it. Queue comments from my mom about relaxing etc and how she doesn't think the issue is with me, and first cycle friends boasting about how easy it was to get pregnant at the first go. I feel like I'm becoming a miserable jealous cow and I'm just spending my time waiting to be pregnant 😩

FP got me yesterday. One last cycle now and I’m out. I’ve had enough. I started on antidepressants yesterday so it’s probably time to quit before I totally lose the plot.

Thanks @SparkwoodAnd21 I'm just pissing fed up of every month my body doing something new and weird. I'm CD8 now and still spotting which is so fucking irritating!!! Do you think you're going to lay off TTC for a bit? (Also what's FP?)

FP is Fucking Period! Some Yammers a while back felt that AF was too twee and annoying. I like FP, it reflects how I feel about it better!

We are quite cross and sweary here sometimes so FP just seemed so much better.

Bodies do weird things, don’t they Cupcakes? I’m never sure if these things are actually new or maybe we just become more aware of them as we symptom spot more and more. I’m laying off TTC for good in the new year. I’m 41 and I’ve been trying for DC2 for over 2.5 years so I think it’s time I accept it.

Haha I never realised FP is Fucking Period...I thought you were all being super clever and formal calling it your "Follicular Phase". Fucking Period is much better!

Fucking period is great 😂 and I'm so glad you are a bunch of swearers- I feel so polite sometimes but all I want to do is rant about the bitch turning up every month 😡 the month we started TTC this year I went from perfectly regular cycles to 23/38 cycles randomly, and then I had blood tests done last cycle - CD21 I hadn't ovulated, I had a positive OPK on CD26 and then at 5DPO FP turned up 😡

Argh @Chooklass were allowed to swear I do and then followed by lots of crying. Hope you're ok x

Not much to report here, trying hard to relax and enjoy December in fact I've been eating my body weight each week and bloody enjoying myself! Work Christmas party this week and I want to test Friday just in case but also want to get really drunk to drown how hard this year has been! Hummmmmm decisions decisions!? Only noticed so far that I haven't had my post ovulation cramps which is super weird. I'm about 7dpo now so would be expecting them over the next few days

Hi ladies can I join? Cycle 6 and AF arrived this morning and I’m totally hacked off. I’ve tried cheapie opks, digital, lying with my legs in the air, SMEP, dtd every other day, dtd every day, pineapple in lp, pre-seed, temping and have not even had a hint of a second line! Does that qualify?

Hi all, I've just got back from my ultrasound to check for PCOS... the nurse said that everything looks good, and that It doesn't look like PCOS. Said there's a little bit of cysts but all looks good. I asked her about irregular periods etc but she said it's probably something else but she doesn't know what..... absolutely fantastic. Now to just wait for my doctors to contact me and palm it off as nothing.

Has anyone had anything like this? Irregular periods etc but not PCOS?
