Hi. I'm on my first round of ICSI IVF and I am 5 days away from the official test date they gave me. So right now I'm 8 days post a 5 day embryo transfer. The doctors said wait until day 14 to test but couldn't help myself as some online forums say they tested earlier. I have a v faint 2nd line and just really wanted opinions. Could this turn into a bolder line as the next 5 days go on or should I prepare myself for the worst ? We have been TTC for 16 months .

I had fainter lines with my two babies when testing early and I was definitely pregnant. Congrats!!! Hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy!

When I had IVF, I started testing 12 days after my egg retrieval, as I read that the trigger shot should be out of my system by then. I tested negative, but a day and a half later I had a very faint positive. This was seven days after my five day transfer. I'd say that you've got a positive - congratulations!

zzzzz & MyDcAreMarvel ahhh well I had the trigger shit 15 days ago and I've read as long as you test 10 plus days after it should be out the system by then. Especially by 2 weeks later. Which was yesterday. But will keep testing with the strips each day between now and Friday 2 see if I get a stronger line

HavelockVetinari · 30/09/2018 18:12

Congratulations! Definitely positive. That's wonderful news SmileFlowers

Sivyer · 30/09/2018 21:23

Did any one use the basic test strips ? I have a box of 5 and they still say 99 percent accurate just cautious about using a non clear blue as the facilities tend to swear by clear blue and clear blue only ....

OP posts:
MyDcAreMarvel · 30/09/2018 21:55

Why? Frer are much better than clear blue.

Sivyer · 30/09/2018 22:10

I'm not sure they seem 2 swear by clear blue . Is frer first response ?

OP posts:
Lamaitresse · 30/09/2018 22:13

Yes, definitely use a FRER! They are brilliant.
We had ICSI after 4 failed rounds of IVF. Dd was a frozen embryo & I truly believed it wouldn’t work. We had tried for 6 years, and even now I have to pinch myself that she’s here ❤️
Can’t wait to hear your next test update - fingers crossed for you!

buttontin · 30/09/2018 22:18

Exciting thread! Congratulations. That’s a positive if ever I saw one 😁

Sivyer · 30/09/2018 22:24

Wow chintaria I am v v pleased it all worked out. I feel like it has been so hard being so patient for 16 months and counting so the fact you had to wait 6 yrs for your miracle . Congratulations!! Will keep you all informed x
