ICSI ivf. Tested early. Am I pregnant?

Hi. I'm on my first round of ICSI IVF and I am 5 days away from the official test date they gave me. So right now I'm 8 days post a 5 day embryo transfer. The doctors said wait until day 14 to test but couldn't help myself as some online forums say they tested earlier. I have a v faint 2nd line and just really wanted opinions. Could this turn into a bolder line as the next 5 days go on or should I prepare myself for the worst ? We have been TTC for 16 months .

Hiya So I did a clear blue and a test strip test this morning using the first urine this time and I got faint line on both . See photos !!! V excited now as I'm sure this can't be my trigger shot as that was 16 days ago now.

Congrats Grin

Not even faint lines... clear as day!

Congrats!!

Cattenberg · 01/10/2018 12:34

I've just seen your post Sivyer. My DD is six months old now! My test line was fainter than yours (although a few days later it was darker and appeared more quickly).

Si1ver · 01/10/2018 12:39

That looks fairly definitive to me.

I started testing at 7dp5dt and tested every other day. These are mine.

Wow! I don't think my test line ever got quite as dark as the control line. That's a strong positive.

Si1ver · 01/10/2018 14:53

Sorry, I should have said these were taken over the summer. I'm 23 weeks now.

But the earliest looks similar to the OPs, which is what I thought would interest her.

Sivyer · 01/10/2018 15:26

Sorry OP is referred to a lot here what does that stand for ? Not in with all the lingo yet ha. Yes they look v similar to mine the first line . Just really hope it sticks and will try to not test until Friday now!!! Only 4 sleeps so hopefully ican do it. Congratulations to all of you mummas and mummys to be

Hey congratulations!! Sorry to hear your not well, you can take paracetamol but not ibuprofen. In my opinion most cough syrups etc are just full of sugar so I don't bother. . You can make your own lemsip with honey and lemon and a crushed up paracetamol. Feel better soon x

friskybivalves · 05/10/2018 03:37

Well done OP! Did you wake up in the night to test or are you not in the UK?

Second the previous poster. Don't mess around with cough mixture. All useless. Make a nice blend of lemon, honey and ginger - magic ingredient - and stay in bed for the weekend. Heaven.

BusySittingDown · 05/10/2018 03:43

Congratulations OP! Flowers How exciting!

You’ll be fine re the bug. As you’re pregnant your immune system is lowered so I’m sorry to say that you might catch every cold going this winter Sad they’ll probably offer you the flu jab?

Paracetamol is fine to take. Honey, lemon and hot water was my saviour when I was pregnant during the winter months.

Sivyer · 06/10/2018 00:24

Thanks for tips all . Tested in the night as hubby was up early . What month do they offer flu jab x

OP posts:
Cattenberg · 12/10/2018 09:42

Sivyer, I had my flu jab in September. I happened to be at the surgery just after the the jabs arrived. My surgery has had delays in getting the supplies this year, but I'd ask about the flu jab now if I were you.
