I am shocked if it is, I don't know what to think. Can you get false positives?
I know if it is I'm very lucky as child are a blessing, I'm a single mum to a seven year old already and I work two jobs and I've just started my masters degree and I've just been dating my man for three months so the timing is not perfect. I need your eagle eyes and opinions. But panicked... sorry if this is insensitive at all it's not intended to be at all ❤️ literally just took the test on a whim as I have felt funny this week period is due on Tuesday.

Yes, that’s a positive.

I have no idea about false positives etc. I’m sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon.

It does look positive but these ones in particular I believe are prone to false positives. Try a first response Early response with pink dye.

Good luck.

Cancelledstamp · 28/09/2018 21:59

Looking into it I'm prone to uti so I think this is a false positive and a case of protein in the urine.

Disappointed and relieved I don't know mixed emotions.

I actually have a ultrasound tomorrow to check on my ovaries and womb due to heavy periods not that they would be able to see anything but I will get another test tomorrow. Just went into shock and I don't know now so I'm well confused xxx

That's not even a faint positive, that's obviously positive

Mooey89 · 28/09/2018 22:14

That’s very positive!!

cakesandphotos · 28/09/2018 22:15

That’s definitely positive! Check with another test but it’s pretty clear

kikibo · 28/09/2018 22:27

Looks positive to me too.

If it's an internal scan, they/you should be able to see a small bubble. I had one at 4 weeks at my ob, because I wanted anti-sickness meds and I couldn't wait until 6 weeks.

Cancelledstamp · 28/09/2018 22:31

I agree that the test does look positive but from reading online those tests are like 9/10 unreliable and produce a lot of false positives. So I think it's a no for now.

Thank you all so much for getting back to me I really really appreciate it ❤️ I just was in shock and needed someone to talk too.

I have period cramping just now and wouldn't be surprised if af visited early even tomorrow.

Thanks again. ❤️

Can someone tell me if they can see a faint line?
I’m now 7 days late for my period. Convinced I could see a faint line, I inverted the picture just to double check!

Hi @Breannabruce. I can. Impossible to say if it's an evaporation line though. At seven days late for your period of expect it to be pretty dark. Is that a clearblue early response? My lines on those showed really dark at 4 days before my period was due. Are your periods usually regular?

Have you tried a pink dye test?

Breannabruce · 29/09/2018 01:30

@Emma765
It is the clear blue early response yeah. I didn’t do it first thing in the morning like some people have recommended, and the first test failed, there was no control line so I’m a bit dubious.
I didn’t even think about a possible pregnancy until someone put it altogether for me. Tiredness, bad skin, bad belly, bad back, late period. They could just be symptoms of an upcoming, albeit late, period!

Haven’t tried a pink dye one yet. Do you have any recommendations?

Cancelledstamp · 29/09/2018 01:41

@Breannabruce I heard first response were good Smile not sure though as with my lo I found out at the hospital and didn't need to test. I'm sure some of the other ladies will know from experience. ❤️

pemb · 29/09/2018 01:56

I would say that's positive x

Glitterandunicorns · 29/09/2018 02:00

@Cancelledstamp You're right that those tests do produce some false positives, but they usually look a lot fainter than yours. That looks like a strong genuine positive to me!

As far as I was aware, pregnancy tests only detect the presence of HCG in the urine, and other proteins or infections wouldn't result in a false pregnancy test.

It's also common to get cramps and pulling sensations in early pregnancy, so what you're feeling doesn't necessarily mean you're not pregnant.

Be sure to mention to the hospital tomorrow that you may be pregnant as that may influence your treatment. They may give you a test there and then.

Best of luck OP.

Breannabruce · 29/09/2018 02:06

Thanks @cancelledstamp I’ll try one first thing tomorrow and keep you updated x

Cancelledstamp · 29/09/2018 02:40

@Glitterandunicorns that was such a nice reply. Thank you for your kind words. I will let you know how I get on.

I had the other clear blue one in the packet so when I peed again I did the other one obviously it would be weaker as I hadn't peed too long before that.

Who knows, I guess best to put to the back of my mind till my period is due (Tuesday) and use a different test if af doesn't appear. Maybe take a trip to the pharmacist for uti treatment tomorrow.

I've seen a few articles about it too so looks like it can be a thing. That's rubbish for the people out there ttc. 😔

I'm a nurse and I've never seen a pregnancy test test positive when the patient only has protein in their urine... if I was testing that on my unit, i would be telling you you're pregnant not getting a dr to prescribe antibiotics

brokenharbour · 29/09/2018 04:26

I've had false positives on their tests and they don't look like that. It's definitely two positives op.

Ohwhatbliss · 29/09/2018 04:47

They are definitely positive tests, you're pregnant OP. Don't use the UTI treatment unless it's safe for use in pregnancy!

LittleDoveLove · 29/09/2018 05:44

That's a positive! Congrats! I used clearblue for mine and never had a false positive, it's very strong line too :) Thanks

Redrosebelle · 29/09/2018 08:08

That’s definitely positive. It’s NOT a false positive and protein doesn’t cause false positives.

Desmondo2016 · 29/09/2018 10:06

Definitely pregnant. Both clear positives and nothing to so with uti/protein. Only hcg can cause that line and only pregnancy can cause hcg!
