I am shocked if it is, I don't know what to think. Can you get false positives?
I know if it is I'm very lucky as child are a blessing, I'm a single mum to a seven year old already and I work two jobs and I've just started my masters degree and I've just been dating my man for three months so the timing is not perfect. I need your eagle eyes and opinions. But panicked... sorry if this is insensitive at all it's not intended to be at all ❤️ literally just took the test on a whim as I have felt funny this week period is due on Tuesday.

I am struggling to believe this is a genuine thread. Those tests are blatantly positive! It’s not even particularly faint. You may well have a uti but you are also pregnant.

Emma765 · 29/09/2018 10:28

To be clear - I've been rounded upon on here before for saying I think these tests are positives by people saying they're often false and i shouldn't give OP false hope, so now I always caveat my answer! I've never used these ones or had a false positive myself.

Cancelledstamp · 29/09/2018 11:04

It is a genuine post because I genuinely can't believe it.

Then I read up so much on google about how these tests can produce false results.

I've been in and out of hospital for utis since July so mine get very severe. Many sites had mentioned about the protein so I thought it was possible.

Sorry it didn't come across as genuine I guess I should have kept my worries to myself sorry again.

Sorry OP I wasn’t trying to upset you. It just seemed unbelievable to me that such an obvious positive could be doubted. Hope everything goes well for you Flowers

Beautifulblue · 29/09/2018 12:38

@Cancelledstamp you're pregnant. 100000%. That is not an evap or a false positive (these are so so sooo rare) if you don't believe it get a first response but I'm telling you it's going to be positive! Congrats...

Britta1 · 30/09/2018 09:34

Any update cancelled I would agree with others that it’s definitley a positive test. Not everything you read on the internet is true and I’d certainly be paying more attention to a positive test than a random google search....I have never come across protein resulting in a positive test before. Hope all goes smoothly for you and congrats! Flowers

Hey everyone finally less emotional! So sorry if I was a bit snappy 😂 I swear I'm actually lovely.

Went to the doctors yesterday after my ultrasound (for periods - results back for that next Monday) and got tested for a uti! Well turns out there was not one white count was a bit high but no infection present,

Going to go to the doctors this week to get bloods done to confirm that I'm pregnant. Still in shock and can't believe it. Did others believe it straight away? Or did it take the heartbeat monitor or a scan? Xxxxx

OP, you’re super pregnant! Congratulations! I hope it’s not too overwhelming and you’re able to enjoy it

MaverickSnoopy · 30/09/2018 13:48

Congratulations OP.

I was just coming on to explain that yes those clearblue can give a false positive but really they are A LOT fainter than yours and are more like a shadow. There was no doubting about yours though.

Cancelledstamp · 30/09/2018 13:55

I appreciate all the messages I was just really in shock so was a tad defensive through disbelief.

Thanks for all the comments and support and advice.

I appreciate it ❤️

Hi. I'm on my first round of ICSI IVF and I am 5 days away from the official test date they gave me. So right now I'm 8 days post a 5 day embryo transfer. The doctors said wait until day 14 to test but couldn't help myself as some online forums say they tested earlier. I have a v faint 2nd line and just really wanted opinions. Could this turn into a bolder line as the next 5 days go on or should I prepare myself for the worst ? We have been TTC for 16 months .

@Sivyer I think you might of posted on the wrong thread - but for 8dpo that looks like a great line. Many people have nothing at that stage - congratulations SmileFlowers

You'll probably get more knowledgeable responses in the infertility thread @sivyer. I don't have any experience but it looks like a great line to me...

Yay!!!! You're pregnant OP!! I was giggling a little when you were blaming it on your UTI... not in a mean way, more like a 'teehee she's going to get a nice surprise' kind of way.

I knew I was pregnant before my tests confirmed it. I thought I had my period as well (must have been a rather heavy implantation bleed or just shedding the lining that had built up... dunno on that one). But my second test was the revealer!

The doctor said you can get false negatives but false positives are extremely rare and usually if it says positive, it means positive! 😄

So happy for you!

tatim · 30/09/2018 16:12

Congratulations @Cancelledstamp Grin
