@Crossfitgirl, the doc might see you after 6 cycles for fertility investigations seems you've got a PCOS diagnosis. It can't hurt to make an appointment if you get past cycle 6 with no joy. They give you clomid to make you ovulate more, so you'd be releasing multiple eggs instead of one to increase your chances of getting pregnant (more targets for the sperm to hit 😉). They used to recommend it for unexplained infertility, which is why they gave it to me, but they commonly give it to people with PCOS to up their chances of ovulating. If I get investigated this time I don't think they'd give it to me because the guidelines have changed for unexplained infertility treatment (no evidence that it helps with that), but it's certainly got lots of evidence that it helps people with PCOS 👍

@shelleybear0313 no I haven't tested yet - willpower is winning at the moment!

BabySquid · 30/08/2018 13:11

Willpower

MrsR16 · 30/08/2018 13:15

@BabySquid 😁😘 it's only a few more days right?!? Even DH is getting excited about the prospect of me poas Monday morning!

shelleybear0313 · 30/08/2018 13:16

I think it would be easier to deal with if they could find something, at least that way you would know what your dealing with bambionice80. They not considered you for Clomid? Maybe if you got a few more eggs on the go would give you a better chance. I know they give it to a lots of women with unexplained fertility issues.

CrossFit I had an ectopic last year with right tube removal. So I think there just trying to up my chances. I'm not being monitored and to be honest my doctor is a bit pants. Had scans ect but just living on a wing and prayer at the min. Xxx

BabySquid · 30/08/2018 13:21

@MrsR16 bless him. It's great when they're so on board. Mines the same. Was talking to him about potentially testing next Saturday for the wedding we're going to instead of waiting till the Monday. He was excited, little sweetie.

MrsR16 · 30/08/2018 13:54

@BabySquid 3 and a half more days... not that I'm counting! This weekend is going to be hard, although I'm hoping I stay busy enough with decorating to keep me occupied!

shelleybear0313 · 30/08/2018 14:40

Well done Mrsr16! You have far more willpower than me. I think if I get the bfn Monday I'll be more relaxed next month and know what to expect. 😂 💖xx

My stats:
Ttc: #1
Age: 22
Cycle: 1

I'm currently 6dpo and this 2ww is killing me, I just want to know either way! Lol af is due 8th September, when's everyone testing? X

Crossfitgirl · 30/08/2018 18:53

@bambionice80 thanks for that, I will definitely go after 6 months, or 6 cycles which is only next cycle.

I've already ruled myself out this month, we had sex on Sunday, none since, and according to clear blue I should have ovulated today.
I can't even bring myself to try for it tonight, having him turn me down twice on mon/tue was pretty gutting so I won't be putting myself out there again until he instigates. I haven't told him the first positive OPK was wrong, so he doesn't know we could have a chance today. I think telling him would ruin any slight chance of sex tonight anyway.

He's run me a bath and prepped tea for later and been all lovey dovey today so maybe he feels bad... who knows.

@shelleybear0313 sorry to hear that, that must have been awful. It's good they've done something at least, even if they are being a bit pants about it - sometimes gps who don't really know what they are doing are totally open to suggestions from us, if we show we know our stuff. Use it to your advantage :-)

@mrsr16 decorating? Nesting 😉

Welcome @missrose0110 @unicorn93, early days cycle 1 and 2, good luck! Hope your OHs on board with lots of sex?! Lol.

@pingupengo it was really good thanks!! Had really good seats it was nice to go out. I'm sooo tired today though! Good luck for your fw coming up :-) bringing sexy baaack

@MMKMN hey! You sound v similar to me, came off contraception in May and now in cycle 5, and only just started "trying " this month. Although we've had less sex this month than all the other months. So that went well 👎
Where are you in your cycle? I think I ov'd today.

Sorry for all the other messages I have missed!! I think this one is long enough!!

Patapouf · 30/08/2018 19:12

This OPK has totally thrown me, is it possible to still get faint positives post ovulation? I had a strong positive the day before yesterday and a fainter one the day before that, didn’t test yesterday. I’m assuming I ov’d yesterday but now I’m worrying...

TTC first baby... mega thread!
Crossfitgirl · 30/08/2018 19:22

@delilah7 omg my skin is TERRIBLE this last 2 days I've had massive big spots all over my chin! I've got some body shop tea tree stuff that is really good and clears them up quick if you want me to link?

@patapouf yes I think you can get faint ones after ov, I had one today and had a few over the days leading up to it as well. The faint lines are still negative but lh is around for a few days around ov I think .

Crossfitgirl · 30/08/2018 19:25

@delilah7 and all those with shit skin atm... try this! It clears skin up nicely, but I always use it too late though haha if I use it all the time it does prevent spots in the first place but I prefer a heavier moisturiser the rest of the time.

Delilah7 · 30/08/2018 19:33

@Crossfitgirl going to have to try. I had their tea tree oil before and that was good so maybe I should get that again! Thanks Hun xx

shelly10 · 30/08/2018 19:46

Ladies could I ask your opinion? I've been logging my info daily on my Ovia app for the last month or so, had my first AF after having the implant removed and since CD10 I've been using OPKs. This week has been showing as my fertile window but according to the OPKs I haven't ovulated yet and this is now CD16. Have any of you had this before? Or ovulated much later than you thought you would? I'm thinking I should just keep doing OPKs? Thanks girls xx

Lougg · 30/08/2018 19:53

@shelly10 I'm having this at the moment. Was expecting to ovulate on Wednesday but only just got a positive OPK about an hour ago. And my clear Blue digital ovulation still hadn't detected my peak. This is without coming off any hormonal contraception. So it's very likely to take a while post implant for your cycles to regulate
