Oh wow @CurlyTwirlyTwos. Sending a massive hug and lots of love your way. And congratulations! No need to apologise. We're here for you ❤. It is a complete head fuck! My head is still all over the place and I've known I'm pregnant again for almost 4 weeks now! If i were you I'd get to the pharmacy and buy some 75mg aspirin and I would call the EPU and book a scan for when you're around 7 weeks. I felt uneasy about going there again especially when the midwife that took my details said I've met you before as soon as she saw me. They were all lovely though.

CurlyTwirlyTwos · 30/10/2018 17:59

Aww Gawd, I feel like I know ALL the ladies in the EPU now. There is one midwife in particular who felt very sorry for me the last time I was there in August, she couldn’t believe I was back again.

How’s your day been today @hopefulforarainbow? Hope you’ve managed to rest up a little and things have settled down for you. I can’t believe you’ve been pregnant for a month, I’ve has a few days and it’s tough going!

Let us know how Thursday goes....

MissPMA · 30/10/2018 18:37

Goodness, sending you tentative congratulations @curlytwirlytoes, it’s such a conflict of emotions and unfortunately I have no words of wisdom! When I got my bfp I swore a lot at the test and felt nervous telling my husband, we then proceeded to never talk about it other than about bleeding, nausea etc and continued to plan holidays we both hoped wouldn’t happen without acknowledging we might be having a baby at that time. Don’t be embarrassed about EPU, no one will think you’re irresponsible, just someone who is very determined to have a baby.
@hopeful I’m 13+2, I had my scan yesterday and all is looking good 😊we’re not planning on telling anyone for some time yet as we both need to adjust that this is actually happening!

Hopefulforourrainbow · 30/10/2018 18:42

I've done very little today. Went to collect prescription and made an appointment with GP for tomorrow. It was last Thursday I had the scan. It went well and there was a strong heartbeat. Have got booking appointment with midwife on Tuesday and next scan is 15th Nov when I should be 10 weeks. Think I'm feeling a bit better this evening. Had a chat with my auntie, I'm further on than I've ever been and each day is a step further in the right direction. I'm trying to not even think of the possibility of another missed mc. Scans with that pregnancy hadn't been good since before 6 weeks though. Ahhh let's just try and be positive together! I remember saying to you months ago we'd prob be trying again at same time and next time would hopefully be our turn!

Hopefulforourrainbow · 30/10/2018 18:43

Fab news @misspma! I can't wait to get to that stage!

Hopefulforourrainbow · 31/10/2018 12:52

How are you feeling today @CurlyTwirlyTwos? I saw the GP this morning. He's told me to rest and has signed me off work until 18th November. I was feeling a bit better earlier because I've been feeling a bit sick today. Sounds crazy to be wanting pregnancy symptoms! Hope the rest of you are doing well.

CurlyTwirlyTwos · 31/10/2018 14:11

That’s great @hopefulforarainbow - it’ll give you a couple of weeks to rest up and take it easy. It takes a few days to get into the ‘rhythm’ of not doing much, I confess I find hard especially hard at home too, but try your best! I remember saying it might be our turn soon hopeful I hope you are right, it would be lovely to have a 1st trimester buddy.

I’m feeling much better too after getting everything off my chest yesterday. Thank you for reading and responding! I called the EPAU this morning and they are seeing next Monday when I’ll be 6 weeks. I gave my name and I was on the system (no quibbling, questioning or refusal like I had last time when I went through the midwife at 7 weeks).

DH is fine too, we forget sometimes that it’s an emotional rollercoaster for them too. He’s not a talker at the best of times! He’s understandably worried after a chat last night, but surprisingly positive too!

Question: Will aspirin just thins blood? I bought some yesterday, but worried it might do more harm than good! I’m taking a general multivitamin with enough folic acid now, I can’t face looking at a pregnacare bump each day!

Waiting game for me until a heartbeat next week - keep fingers crossed for me!

Congratulations @MissPMA - so lovely to read positive news and RMC ladies getting through it!

Hopefulforourrainbow · 31/10/2018 15:14

I'm glad you're feeling better today. Yeah as far as I'm aware it just thins the blood. The consultant at epau recommended I take it even before I had any testing done. I know of a lot of women who have had successful pregnancies taking it so as far as I'm concerned there was no harm in me trying it. That's good you got an appointment. Will keep everything crossed it goes well.

Laney79 · 01/11/2018 06:55

@CurlyTwirlyTwos @Hopefulforourrainbow I've just been told by the EPAU consultant to take 75mg aspirin if I conceive again too. Seems it's a case of they aren't sure if it will help everyone but it does in some cases, and doesn't appear to have any negative side effects-so if it might help but won't harm then they say give it a try xxx

Labmum · 01/11/2018 12:14

@curlytwirlytwos congratulations, fingers crossed for you. You've probably considered it already but make sure your multivitamin doesn't have vitamin A in it as its not advised in pregnancy. I also took 75mg aspirin this time off my own back. Seems like its ok after BFP as it can sometimes interfere with early implantation but do your own research and see what you're happy doing. Also for people with a history of more than one loss 5mg folic acid is recommended (far above normal recommended dose). The GP can prescribe it.

@hopeful I hope the spotting had calmed down, if its your cervix thats been irritated it may take a while to calm, especially after an internal scan. Got everything crossed for your next scan at 10 weeks. That was the one that had me up a height with anxiety before and crying with relief after.

Take care ladies and feel free to pop into the the pregnancy after loss thread if/when you feel ready! We'd love to see you there!

CurlyTwirlyTwos · 01/11/2018 19:19

Ahhh - thanks for the tip @labmum, I rushed to check my vitamins when I got home today, and thankfully no vitamin A - phew. I didn’t even think about it! Which sounds really silly. Also thank you for the extra folic acid tip too, if things go well next week I’ll follow it up.

Thank you so much.

I the plunge and bought pregnacare today as well, I popped out a weeks worth and put them in the normal pot. I know it sounds silly, but I don’t want be a ‘pregnant’ woman just yet.

I’m feeling tired to the bone, exhausted in a way that I can’t remember, I’ve mild nausea but I think it’s nerves!

Hopefulforourrainbow · 02/11/2018 08:31

Thanks @Labmum. Don't feel ready for that forum yet! I'm terrified about the next scan. Counting down the days. Less than 2 weeks now. Hubby is away for 10 days today for work so when he's home it'll just be a couple of days away. I hate it when he's away. Debating on whether I should go to my mum's for a couple of days but its a 2 1/2hr drive each way. I've been feeling really tired too @curly. Not sure if the nausea is nerves or pregnancy related also. I need to find some box sets/series to watch when hubby is away. Any recommendations?

Labmum · 02/11/2018 09:35

@hopeful, oh wow, that's tough I find time always drags when DH is away. He's been away this week and I've had a nightmare time with DS being ill. Very ready for him to get home tonight, I suspect I'll just dissolve into tears at the sight of him.
Box set wise there's loads......what sort of stuff are you into? I'm half way through Killing Eve at the moment and really enjoying it. The bodyguard was apparently good too, both on iplayer.
Netflix-I quite fancy watching the new sabrina series just for nostalgias sake as I used to love it as a kid.
Sky-Big Little Lies was fab and second season is coming soon.
Crime dramas - Line of duty
Medical dramas - Greys (love it and a LOT to go at with it being on its 20th season or something crazy like that!)

Hopefulforourrainbow · 02/11/2018 10:25

@Labmum sounds like we're in to the same kind of stuff. Greys is my all time fave. I'm up to date with it and have re watched it all too! I've watched killing eve and the bodyguard. Big little lies was good. I've got a few episodes of the affair left to watch. Might watch desperate housewives or something again!

Miami81 · 02/11/2018 15:22

Have you watched the good doctor? I have found it a nice one as a greys alternative whilst waiting for the new series.
Also for the people is by the greys people and I'm enjoying that too.

Hopefulforourrainbow · 02/11/2018 16:04

Hi @Miami81. Nice to hear from you. Have been watching the good doctor. Started for the people but I struggled to get in to it. How are you doing? Well I hope.

Labmum · 02/11/2018 16:56

There's the station 19 spin off series from Grey's that's quite good. Only 10 eps though so not much to get going on. I also liked Once Upon a Time on Netflix. Pretty easy watching. And 13 reasons why was great but not one to watch if you're after light-hearted. I also LOVED bones, and Buffy. Classics!

CurlyTwirlyTwos · 02/11/2018 20:00

I’ve already watched the 1st two episodes of Sabrina! It’s very different from when we were younger (I loved it too..) but still pure escapism for you @hopefulforarainbow! Ahhh - I’d love a boxset day!
I also started the witches discovery on Sky as well, which was alright - a mix of Twilight, Harry Potter, and LOTR and any other fantasy you can think of. Good distraction.
I LOVED Desperate Housewives though - proper comfort tv!

Great suggestions from everyone else though - that’s my winter viewing sorted, lol!

Still tired and slightly nauseous here, been here sooooooo many times before. But putting it to the back of my mind as best I can... :-(

Laney79 · 02/11/2018 20:25

Box sets...if you have Netflix orange is the new black is good as is designated survivor and suits. I enjoyed the good wife, and prison break. Adore the west wing, ER, desperate housewives and House.

I'm still waiting for first AF since losing bow. Stopped bleeding 6/10, negative test 14/10, had 7 days of brown Cm/spotting 21-27/10...no sign of a positive opk so who knows what my stupid body is doing now! I just want to know where I am so we can get back to trying again properly. Just over three weeks until my consultant appt and my blood results.

norbert23 · 02/11/2018 21:44

I'm also watching Sabrina! It's ace!

CurlyTwirlyTwos · 03/11/2018 07:28

It took me about 6 weeks to get AF after mmc 2 @Laney79 and I didn’t get a positive OPK in that time either!!!

I never got the hang of opk tbh, so that might just be me!

Hopefulforourrainbow · 03/11/2018 07:57

Thanks for all the suggestions! Plenty to watch now! I've decided to drive up to my mum's this morning to stay for a couple of days. Hate being home alone. It doesn't help that we live in the middle of nowhere too!
@Laney79 hopefully your cycle will return to normal soon. Mine has been different each time. Took months to get AF first time then I conceived straight away after 2nd mc. I can't remember how long it took to get AF after 3rd as we had a break from trying though remember bleeding/spotting for a long time.
I seem to have horrendous diarrhoea every morning. Sorry for tmi. I'm wondering if it's the pregnacare/cyclogest. Apart from one episode in evening it's been every morning since about week 6. Anyone else experienced this?

Laney79 · 03/11/2018 13:58

Wish me luck ladies. I'm just about to go to a baby shower for a good friend of mine. She said I didn't have to go but felt I should be there. Im really happy for her, she's been through hell (lost her third-MMC discovered at 19 weeks, but died 16 weeks) and she's one of my best mates. Its just so hard-have to get through it without crying. I can't stop thinking I should have a newborn or a little bump of my own. Xxx

norbert23 · 03/11/2018 14:43

Good luck @Laney79 xxx

Labmum · 03/11/2018 18:29

Hope the baby shower went ok @Laney79. I hate them and refuse to go to them or have one of my own.
