No. Consultant just suggested trying it next time when I saw him last week. I've never had progesterone checked.

Mnet · 03/10/2018 15:46

Hi I’m new to thus thread. Started my first cycle on predisonole, came off it today as I got a negative test. Oh well another long 4 week wait ahead.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 03/10/2018 16:08

@MissPMA it’s @nonnatushouse here but I’ve name changed back so that everyone remembers who I am!

My doctor is going to refer me for an early scan at the EPU. I actually don’t mind waiting until 10 weeks for one (as long as there’s no bleeding in between times) however I’ve pretty much decided in my head that I will have a bleed next week sometime (between week 6-7) because both times a pregnancy has gotten that far, I’ve bled and everything has turned out to be ok at that point regardless of whether it culminated in my having a later M/C or a live birth.

I’m a lot calmer this time round which intuitively I’m thinking is a good thing as last time I was sooooo uneasy and overwhelmingly anxious from day dot.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 03/10/2018 16:12

@MissPMA I don’t think you can gauge anything with sickness and symptoms really. I’ve only had any real sickness as soon as I’ve woken up so far and sore boobs sporadically. Haven’t had any sickness today, just a little bit of nausea this morning but not my usual retching and borking. Then again I’m only 5+4 today so could well have all of this delight to come at a later stage. I wasn’t too bad with DD though so maybe I just get off with it lightly in regards to sickness!

Hopefulforourrainbow · 03/10/2018 16:23

Ah that explains a lot! I wondered who the toothpaste person was that was posting the other day!

Hopefulforourrainbow · 04/10/2018 06:47

Good morning ladies. Darker line today and 1-2 weeks on cb digital. No idea when I ovulated this month as hadn't been tracking when on holiday. Have taken aspirin, cyclogest, folic acid and b6 this morning. Should I keep taking b6 @labmum? I'm so scared this is going to go wrong again 😭

Miami81 · 04/10/2018 08:16

Great news @Hopefulforourrainbow. I have kept taking all my b vitamins. As far as I know they are the types of vitamins that you just pee away the excess that you don't need. Maybe look up daily recommended dose of b6 and don't exceed that?
I have everything crossed for you. Take it easy this weekend and just try to let it sink in a small bit.

Have everything crossed for you @Hopefulforourrainbow xxx

As for me, I had my appt at the EPAU yesterday. Had to have an internal scan but they said I'd had a complete miscarriage, My uterus was empty. Obviously heartbreaking but I knew that really. I'm grateful that this time my body dealt with it itself and I didn't have the constant problems and months of bleeding I did earlier in the year.

My nurse has been amazing and has recognised I need help and has arranged for me to have some blood clotting tests done next week and I have a consultant appt end of November. Sounds stupid but I feel so much better knowing I'm getting help, and have a plan. Even if the tests don't show anything at least I'll be able to rule out those as issues that are causing me to lose my babies. I hate to say this but hoping I get a negative test soon and my cycles kick back In so we can start trying again. At 39 time feels very pressing xx

Hopefulforourrainbow · 04/10/2018 10:36

@Miami81 thank you. It's 50mg I'm taking so will have a look. Taking it easy this weekend would be lovely but I start night shifts tonight. On tonight and tomorrow night then back on days on Monday. I'm not really sure what to do about work. I think I'll tell my boss and a couple of other managers so at least there's someone on each shift who knows as there's so many things I can't do.

Hopefulforourrainbow · 04/10/2018 10:37

@Laney79 I remember a sense of relief learning that my 2nd mc was complete. I got pregnant again straight away after that one without a period in between though that went on to be ectopic. Are you still bleeding?

Labmum · 04/10/2018 11:14

@hopeful I stopped the high dose b6 at BFP and just took pregnacare multivitamin instead which had it in at a lower dose. I don't know if that's right or wrong though. This time I just copied what I did with DS for the B6.
Congratulations, got everything crossed for you. These first few weeks and days are so tough, at least night shift will keep you busy.

@Laney79 I'm so sorry, it's shit. Take care my lovely, watch crap TV, drink wine and eat your body weight in biscuits! Hoping your cycles return to normal soon.

Hopefulforourrainbow · 04/10/2018 12:22

Thanks @labmum. It's hard to know what to do for the best. Wish I could just fast forward the next 8 or 9 weeks!
Sorry @Mnet I missed your post. Sorry you've found yourself here and welcome. I really don't know what I'd do without these ladies!

I was referred to rmc after my last mc. Had bloods then saw consultant 12 weeks later. My 1st lot of bloods came back positive to lupus anticoagulant antibodies so needed a repeat test. I saw the consultant before having the 2nd lot of bloods back. It was a complete waste of time. He made it clear we were wasting his time too. Said it was probably bad luck and we could try aspirin if we wanted but there was no evidence surrounding that if it is just bad luck. 2nd lot of bloods came back negative. I was asked if I wanted to see him again So I asked if there was anyone else we could see. Saw a different consultant last week who was lovely. Explained all the tests and my results, said we could try aspirin and progesterone next time. He said he felt positive and said there was no reason why we couldn't have a healthy baby. If i were you I wouldn't hold out too much hope for appointment and if your bloods are done and you feel ready to try again just go for it!

Yes I started taking aspirin yesterday. The consultant I saw suggested taking it while ttc too but I was so far on in my cycle I thought I'd just wait to see what happened. Do you take any vitamins? Have any health problems? Is your cycle regular? I usually use ovulation tests but didn't this month. I find it helps to have a rough idea of when things are happening though some people advise against that too so didn't track at all while on holiday!

Labmum · 04/10/2018 15:15

@hopeful sounds like you'll be doing the same as I did this time with the aspirin and progesterone, (tip; back passage a lot less messy). I also had high dose folic acid, GP can prescribe so might be worth looking into? Everything crossed here that it goes well this time

@moonpeace I got referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic then fell whilst waiting for my appointment, they saw me straight away and gave me progesterone and high dose folic acid then arranged my reassurance scans for every 2 weeks. So push them to be seen if you do fall before your appointment with them!

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/10/2018 15:40

Oh @Hopefulforourrainbow I'm over the moon for you!!!!!! Been crossing everything for you Smile

I'm taking aspirin this time. Started on one a day and at some point my consultant put it up to two, so 150mg a day.

Sore boobs and super nose - sounds like good symptoms to me Grin

So so pleased for you! It's a total head fuck so don't put any pressure on yourself about how to feel x

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/10/2018 15:46

I was referred to the RMC by the EPU after a third loss moonpeace and have had a very positive experience, even though that's included two pregnancies on treatment under them. Who referred you and is there a way you can chase up an appointment?

You make complete sense Laney79, it makes a world of difference feeling like there's someone else out there batting for you (other than us lot! Smile) and it's really good you're having tests done and have an appointment set up for next month. Hoping for a BFN is so natural and it's all shit and complicated at this point. I remember wanting a BFN and then crying when I got it, and I wasn't sure if I was relieved or sad! Just try and roll with whatever comes up and look after yourself.

Thank you @Anne. Hope you're still doing well.
@moonpeace only thing I did this month was 50mg b6, took seven seas trying for a baby and had lots of sex while on holiday! I called the fertility clinic as I thought they better have this on record. They've ignored the fact I have a long cycle and have booked me in for a scan next Friday saying I must be 5 weeks now and they need to make sure it's not ectopic after last time. I might call and change it nearer the time if all is well by then.

norbert23 · 05/10/2018 09:08

My heart goes out to everyone here, you're all going through so much. I'm going through my second MC in 6 months and feeling pretty crap. I have to go back to the EPAU this afternoon to have it confirmed but I'm not expecting any good news. I'm starting to worry there's something wrong with my cycles and that my progesterone is low but I don't know how to find that out.

Lauraliverpool · 05/10/2018 09:31

@norbet23 I went to my GP and said is there any test I can have to check I'm ovulating and she gave me a blood test for projesterone has to be done so many days in your cycle. I haven't done this yet going to see if we fall pregnant this month if not I'll be getting that test done. Sorry you're going through this it's so shit and unfair, I went through my second missed miscarriage in June. Sending you love and a big hug. Xx

norbert23 · 05/10/2018 10:01

Thank you so much Laura that's really kind, sending you a big hug too. It all seems so unfair at the minute but then I remember how lucky I am to have my 3 year old.
I know I'm ovulating I just don't seem to be able to make them stick which is what I will ask them or my GP about when I can. I hope you're taking care of yourself xx
