I took it all month. From CD1 to bfp. 2nd time I think I took it after bfp but took 1 tablet a day instead of 2. A friend blames it for her miscarriage. My friend with pcos had been trying for years, took it from cd1 to bfp and is the one who is due in November. It's hard to know what to do for the best.

TaylsN · 28/09/2018 02:00

@hopeful @moonpeace I took vitex from after my mmc until about 8 weeks pregnant with our current bean. I'd read something saying to take it through the first trimester or you could miscarry. I got a stomach flu around 8 weeks and couldn't stomach any supplements and just didn't resume. I'm currently almost 12 weeks and had a good scan today where everything looked fine and hb was good so fingers crossed.
My MIL asked when we'd be in the "safe zone". I was like, never?? When the baby is born healthy and alive? She meant well but after loss we know the other shoe can drop at any time.

Hopefulforourrainbow · 28/09/2018 05:22

@TaylsN did it not say on the bottle to stop if pregnant? Do you know how much is in each capsule?

That's good. Glad your thyroid level has improved and good you're getting a referral. No harm in trying in the mean time. Especially when you've already had bloods done. How do you track ovulation? I usually use opk but have never tried temping.

I work shifts so impossible for me!

Laney79 · 28/09/2018 15:27

Can I ask on thyroid...my GP tested mine after first MMC...said my results were good on the "lower side of normal which is what we want" so I've assumed that's ok-but now worried that means they are heading for the too low category?

On tracking-I use Internet cheapies 2/3 times a day from about cd8, then around cd11/12 I use the clear blue digital ones first thing in the morning to confirm. I normally get a strong line day 12/13 in the afternoon/eve then positive CB the following morning.

TaylsN · 29/09/2018 00:54

@hopeful @moonpeace I took a tincture so it was dropperfuls rather than capsules. It says it's about 350-440 mg per dose and to take 2 to 3 doses per day. It doesn't say to stop taking if pregnant on the bottle. My acupuncturist and midwife knew I was taking it so I believe it was fine.

Laney79 · 29/09/2018 18:12

Ladies, can I ask some advice? First mic ended up being dealt with by medical management...basically took the pessaries Friday, starting a medium level of cramping and passing clots for the next 48 hours but then had a sudden onset very very painful 2-3 hours losing lots of blood and clots and then it was pretty much over (well I bled for weeks afterwards but it was mostly spotting)

This time it's happening naturally, been bleeding but not heavy for over a week but have had three, hour plus episodes of extreme pain and passing clots/blood...it happened tues/weds/thurs.. but then nothing yesterday or so far today bar a bit of bleeding/clotty spotting when I go to the loo. Could that be it? Or should I expect another trains worth of pain to hit me? I'm just afraid to go out because when it does hit it's agony and I need to be near the loo.

Got a scan on weds to see what's happened/happening but I'm going snooker loopy here, and being cooped up just allows my mind to keep going over and over why it's happened twice, which is not good. Xxx

Thanks @moonpeace I think I passed my little one last night. Tmi but it was different to all the clots and tissue. Much more solid. Came as a shock as had no pain. Broke my heart. Xx

oddsbobbins · 30/09/2018 21:21

Laney79 I'm so sorry for your loss, I hope you can start to recover a bit though I know it may be a bumpy road.

I'm beginning to think I'm cursed. My year so far has included:
-3 miscarriages
-sick MIL
-DH attacked by a racist
-from today: having to leave home for at least a week because it was flooded, which in turn broke our boiler
Seriously, WTF?

Iswallowtoothpaste · 01/10/2018 08:16

So sorry you’re both having such a shit time of it @Laney and @bobbins.

It really is so bloody unfair Sad

Hopefulforourrainbow · 01/10/2018 09:14

Sorry you're both having such a crap time. I'm struggling to keep up with all the new names. Has anyone changed their name?
Symptom spotting for me. AF due in 2 days. Boobs sore, much bigger and nipples are sensitive. Hope it's a good sign!

oddsbobbins · 02/10/2018 09:03

Sounds promising Hopeful - when are you going to test?

Hopefulforourrainbow · 02/10/2018 09:16

Can't decide if I should test today or not. Cycle is 33-35 days and I'm on cd34 today. Will prob give in and test knowing me!

Hopefulforourrainbow · 02/10/2018 10:00

Bfn today. Gutted though I know I'm not out yet. Have a feeling I am though. Wishing I hadn't taken the b6 now. Have no idea if I ovulated when I usually do. Had hoped there might have even been a faint line. A few of my friends are due this week and I should have been too so feeling a bit down in the dumps. One has just told me her girls name is same as my favourite so now hoping she has a boy! Though at this rate we won't be needing it 😭 sorry for the moan. Just feeling a bit down today.
Hope you're all doing well

Thank you @moonpeace

Hopefulforourrainbow · 03/10/2018 08:12

Tested again this morning because I'm a poas addict! I think there's a very faint line. It's an internet cheapie which I've always bought and have been reliable for me in the past. I've ordered frer & cb digital on Amazon. I'll test again tomorrow. Would have preferred to wait but going on to nights tomorrow and hubby away for a week for work on Friday

Laney79 · 03/10/2018 08:53

@Hopefulforourrainbow I had that with my second pregnancy in August-one step Internet cheapie was the squintiest squinter (even inverted the colours) so did another the next day with a very similar result. Bought a frer for the next morning and it was very clear positive. My Internet cheapies are meant to be 10mlu sensitive. X

MissPMA · 03/10/2018 08:55

Eek @hopefull, I’m sending you tentative congratulations! Keep us posted with your tests but it sounds promising! How are you feeling?
Also congrats on your bfp @nonnatushouse, how are you doing? Will you get an early scan through EPU? I can empathise with feeling scared, I feel like I’m living in a cloud of anxiety at the moment, approaching 9 weeks and whilst feeling decidely ropey still the sickness has eased, so I’m VERY nervous about my scan next week.

Hopefulforourrainbow · 03/10/2018 10:10

Thank you. I'm trying not to get my hopes up. Have taken aspirin this morning and contacted GP for progesterone just in case. Haven't had any symptoms apart from sore boobs, boobs are huge and increased sense of smell.
