Do people always get it?

I've got 2 children and never experienced implantation bleeding

TheHalfBloodPrincess · 12/08/2018 18:43

I’ve been pregnant 4 times and haven’t had it either

SnowyAlps · 12/08/2018 18:44

Pregnant 6 times, never.... (2 births, 4 losses)

divafever99 · 12/08/2018 19:08

Had it with my first, cant remember exactly when. I telephoned the midwife who was very unsympathetic and told me it was too early to scan and I just needed to "wait and see". None with my second. Hope you are ok op.

fuzzywuzzy · 12/08/2018 19:12

I had it with my last two pregnancies, I get it at five weeks, it goes on for two weeks for me.

The bleeding isn’t exactly blood it’s more like a brown discharge and varies in amount depending on if I’m on my feet a lot and doing anything strenuous. Can get quite dark but is stringy looking and would amount to about two teaspoons over the two weeks.

Usually need to wear a liner but not enough for pad.

Hope you’re ok.

Yeah sorry, I was just curious. I'm supposedly 7-8 PO, but have been having mild period cramps for a few days now. I know it's probably too early and just a coincidence, but I wondered if people always get some sort of implantation bleeding, as I have no sign of any.

Implantation bleedings much rarer than it's made out to be!

Fuzzy, surely 5 weeks is far too late to be implantation bleeding?

fuzzywuzzy · 13/08/2018 13:46

Rainbow, it's what the consultant and midwives told me it was, I had a faint positive at the time. Five weeks being the date the consultant put me at but for me was day 28 of my cycle and when I should have had my period. My dating scan put me at the date the consultant did too, altho I know exactly when I ovulated as I was monitoring my BBT (so I am sure they dated me a week further than I was)

Oddly it only happened in my last two pregnancies not my first two.
Personally I was convinced I was having an early miscarriage both times, but thankfully it was not the case.

They couldn't find any other reason for the bleeding, even tho the consultant could see I was bleeding when I was examined.

Rainbowmelon · 13/08/2018 14:04

Interesting! I always thought implantation was only a tiny show, I can't imagine how worrying it must have been, glad everything was fine! Smile

fuzzywuzzy · 13/08/2018 14:28

It wasn’t a substantial bleed, about two teaspoons over two weeks. It was very very stressful.

I’d far rather not have had it.

I’ve no idea if it was implantation bleed or not to be very honest. The first time I didn’t think it was but the same happened with my very next pregnancy.

I’m just glad baby was fine these two time as I suffered quite a few early miscarriages prior to the two healthy ones.

OP good luck, I’d take no bleeding as a good sign to be honest. If you do get implantation bleed it may be around the time you expect af.

charliefarli · 13/08/2018 15:00

I had a tiny tiny brown bleed on 7dpo. Had I not been looking Im sure I wouldn't have noticed it.

Jaxtellerswife · 13/08/2018 15:25

It was literally just once when I wiped and barely there. It was very early on but out of 3 pregnancies has only happened once

burblife · 13/08/2018 15:30

I had implantation bleed 7 days post ovulation for 4 days. At the time I thought it was my period as the bleeding was heavy and my cycles were rather irregular so didn't know I was pregnant until the following month.

Fuzzy I had a small bleed around 16 weeks which the doctors said was from my cervix. Did they check you for that?

fuzzywuzzy · 13/08/2018 16:39

Burblife yes they did check, both physical examination and an internal scan about a week after it started and they couldn’t work out where the bleed was coming from. Midwife was certain it must have been implantation bleed and so was the consultant.

I wasn’t convinced the first time but when second time round the same thing happened I thought maybe they were right.

CraazyCatLady · 19/08/2018 17:51

So, today I've had a small amount of browny pink discharge. Got tummy ache, like period pains, but AF not due til Tuesday. My period has been bang on time for the last 6 months and normally my period would start heavy and then end like this.

Anyway, is it worth doing a test tomorrow or would it not show up yet?

cupcakesandglitter · 23/08/2018 23:07

Hey I'm sorry to jump on, but I'm interested in this too.

I'm CD23 today, I think I ovulated on CD14 going off EWCM but I'm not sure.

Today I went to the loo and checked my liner (I've been having a lot of CM recently) and there was some brown dried blood. I hadn't been to the loo for hours so unsure when it happened. Anyway, when I wiped I had bright red blood, and as I got up I had immense pain, and severe cramping.

I've checked and the bleeding has stopped, and cramping has gone down. AF isn't due until at least a week... is this early AF or could it be implantation bleeding? I'm trying not to get my hopes up, the cramping felt like a miscarriage 😩

Labradoodliedoodoo · 23/08/2018 23:08

Yes with every pregnancy.

Earslaps · 23/08/2018 23:18

Yes, I had nasty cramps and bleeding both pregnancies. Both times I assumed it meant my period was coming and it wasn't going to happen this month so I had a couple of glasses of wine. You'd think I'd have learnt after the first time!

I have always had hugely irregular periods so I had no idea when periods or ovulation were due.

OhFFSMum · 26/08/2018 11:59

#crazycatlady - did u test? Were u pregnant? In a similar situation at the moment and driving myself crazy lol

OhFFSMum · 26/08/2018 12:00

I have no idea how to tag a user on here - obviously lol Confused

MrsGsnow18 · 26/08/2018 12:42

I honestly can't remember if I had it or not last time. Weirdly though I've just had an extremely light period which only lasted a day. Got a negative on an internet cheapie though 🙁

OhFFSMum · 26/08/2018 12:44

@mrsgsnow18 - when are you due on? Are u testing early? It's a head f@ck all this isn't it!

twinkledag · 26/08/2018 12:46

I've had it both times I was successfully pregnant (1 ended in mc). IVF babies so not sure if that's got something to do with it.

twinkledag · 26/08/2018 12:48

The other 4 failed IVF transfers I didn't have this.

MrsGsnow18 · 26/08/2018 13:03

my cycle isn't that regular but actually this was two days past my average cycle length, so def wasn't testing early.
I have no idea though if it was implantation bleeding how soon HCG levels would even be high enough?
I'm just assuming my body is messing with me and maybe it's stress related 🙈
