Too early for a September bus?

I've (intentionally) missed out on an August BFP due to planned holidays but I'm crossing my fingers for a 7th September BFP/AF! Not sure if there's a September thread already?

Age: 27
TTC: No. 1
Cycle: 1

Getting my coil taken out this coming weekend and really hoping I'm one of the lucky ones whose cycle goes straight back to normal! I haven't had a period for years but have been tracking my bbt for the past month.

@Thisimmortalcurl meant to say my boo s are killing too!

shelly10 · 31/08/2018 07:46

Huge congratulations @thatshabbychick 🎉🎉 great news! And so lovely to see some BFPs coming in now.
@Chocolate89 I've been using CB OPKs this month & the Ovia app- app says I've ovulated, but so far no smiley faces on the OPK. Girls on another thread had said that the apps take a while to be accurate so I'm just continuing to test with the OPKs for now. Also doing SMEP like you just waiting to ovulate! Xxx

sbhf1987 · 31/08/2018 08:08

@Chocolate89 😂 we go from stressing about DTD to stressing in the TWW! If they weren’t so expensive I would test twice with CB. Feel sorry for my DH he’s working miles away at the mo and up at 5am every day and not back til 6.30pm! We have a chilled weekend at home and a night away for my bday Sunday to recharge and will prob be the only time I relax in the TWW! X

Dwellington · 31/08/2018 13:36

@muddyelephant @thisimmortalcurl I’m on roughly the same timeline too, 8dpo today and due 6th.

Trying not to go mad symptom spotting as probably had every symptom under the sun over the past year and nothing has come of it!

BUT sore boobs that were dying down have come back albeit not quite as bad as post O. Feel absolutely wiped out, just done a food shop and feels like I’ve run a marathon. Very foggy headed if that makes sense and just total lack of energy. Sensible head says it’s probably a virus...TTC head days test test test 🤣

Will hold out until Monday (3 days early) as have GP appt booked so would be useful to know if BFP.

Thisimmortalcurl · 31/08/2018 13:49

Hi @Dwellington
I very almost bought a test today but resisted!
Other than that I actually feel okay , boobs are still sore but at the side .. not sure what that means if anything !

Dwellington · 31/08/2018 13:52

@thisimmortalcurl unfortunately that’s the cruelty of PMT and BFP symptoms being so similar - I’ve had months where I’ve been convinced and still nada! Still wish it wasn’t a whole two weeks to wait though, it just drags so much!

Thisimmortalcurl · 31/08/2018 13:56

I know Dwellington . It’s feels very long . I’m out tonight for a leaving do and working all weekend so that will take up brain space at least .
I’m really undecided when to test . It’s my wedding anniversary a week on sat but I don’t know if I can hold out that long !

Lemonsugar245 · 31/08/2018 14:33

So I reckon I’m out this month. I really don’t feel pregnant 7/8 DPO. I can just tell! I will be out til December. Have a Hospital appointment for September moved from January to talk about genetics. I’m pleased to see so many positives :). Il keep an eye on how everybody goes! Good luck

stormtrooperjulian · 31/08/2018 14:44

My boobs and nipples hurt and I’ve been really bloated today and yesterday. The days are going so slowly, I’m only 5/6 dpo!

I also have (tmi) LOADS of creamy cm today. Is that normal? I expected it to be drying up by now not increasing! This is my first ‘proper’ cycle after 10+ years on hormonal birth control so I have no idea what ‘normal’ is Confused

muddypuddlejumping · 31/08/2018 21:01

@Dwellington @Thisimmortalcurl @MuddyElephant
I'm about 7/8 dpo too. Still have quite sore boobs but I'm sure I had that a bit last month too so hard to know if it's a symptom.

Did have a huge amount of thick creamy cm today though. There was loads 😳 (tmi). I had it at 3dpo also but don't really remember having it the last few months when we weren't trying. I'm a little twingy too but trying hard not to get my hopes up!! With my first DC I had ib and very definite pain though. It's def not on a par with that 🤷‍♀️.

Anymore symptom updates??

Wishful30 · 31/08/2018 21:19

Update

My second scan shows the uterine lining to be about 7mm which is good.
However.... the doc wasn't greatly happy that it was not obvious, not uniform and a bit patchy.
I asked about the last one and why I was sent for the IUI when it was 5.3mm. He didn't greatly comment. So something I need to further discuss.
We talked about future IUI and I explained we have no more funding.
He mentioned IVF and told me that it's possible we will have to try for three years before we will be considered for ivf, even though I am 36 next year.
Que meltdown!

I'm so frustrated I was never told about any of this. I wasn't given the information to have the opportunity to make my own mind up.
I've also been sent an invoice for a further £300 for these scans, and my meds are going to cost about £200 for the next cycle.
No one fore warns you of the costs!!

So we have decided to just trigger inject this weekend and I have demanded the daily injection as opposed to tablets that may have caused the lining to thin, alongside progesterone for next months IUI.

I'm so sorry for another rant, but you lot get it, you understand the stress and frustration of all this trying to get pregnant lark!

I will be taking my complaint further, I've yet to find out who to though.
In the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions on raising funding 🤷🏻‍♀️🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

muddypuddlejumping · 31/08/2018 21:26

Oh @Wishful30 I'm so sorry to hear about that but you're right to complain. I can't imagine the minefield you are trying to navigate.

RooKangaroo · 31/08/2018 21:38

Christ, @Wishful30, I'm not surprised your frustrated and angry. That's just not good enough on their part. And for you to be paying for this just adds insult to injury. I hope your complaint gets the attention it should and you at least get an answer on this.

In terms of funding, can you borrow from friends or family? Or take any equity out of your house if you own? I'm so sorry.

Lov3Rosie · 31/08/2018 21:51

OMG @thatshabbychick such a fantastic news!! And such inspiring message too! I did 2 early tests all BFNs and your message just hit me right on the spot! At what dpo did you do your early tests? I am at 11/12 dpo now. I had a spot when I wiped today. Part of me says it's IB, but my hopeful BFP/AF will be on Sunday. Really hopeful this is our month x

Thanks for your message and hope more baby dust and positive BFPs for all lovely ladies here... xxx

sbhf1987 · 31/08/2018 22:12

@Wishful30 absolutely no need to apologise! You need to get that complaint in ASAP that’s ridiculous. So many contradictions between doctors. Are you in the UK? I’ve got friends with fertility issues and they haven’t had to wait that long for IVF! X

cupcakesandglitter · 31/08/2018 22:25

@Wishful30 sorry I have no suggestions but I would definitely make a massive complaint!! So sorry you have to go through this xx

ImpatientMammy · 31/08/2018 23:11

@Wishful30 I'm sorry you're going through so much. I really wouldn't know where to start I'm shocked at the 3 years too is there any information on the nhs website or is it totally different trust to trust? X

coastergirl · 01/09/2018 00:26

Hi Ladies

I've never been in any of these groups, but tonight I've found myself wanting to talk to someone about the fact I'm excited about my sore boobs 😂 so here I am. I started reading the beginning of the thread but gave up. @LittleTipple I read your initial post and it seems we miscarried at the same time. Sorry if I've missed something in the posts I haven't seen.

So I have a little boy who is three, and my marriage ended two years ago. I've been seeing someone for a while now and we weren't planning anything. I fell pregnant and miscarried around 8th August at what should have been 6.5 weeks but scans showed a very tiny pregnancy sac at only about 4 weeks size. Although that pregnancy was unplanned, it made us realise how much we wanted it. Plus I'm 34 and he's 37 and we both know that we want more kids so we can't wait forever!

Now we are actively trying. Both taking conception vitamins and I'm charting my temperature. My temperature is always a bit mad and all over the place though. With my little boy I conceived on day 25(!) but my cycle has been more normal since then. The only obvious sign I get that I've ovulated is sore boobs, hence my excitement tonight that they are a bit sore. We've been having lots of sex! 😂

Sorry for the essay and not using the mumsnet lingo. I find it really cringey and can't bring myself to use it.

ImpatientMammy · 01/09/2018 01:38

Hi @coastergirl, yay to the sore boobs. What cycle day are you on? Do you think you've just ovulated? Sorry to hear of your loss good luck this month 🤞 x

KatBeCool · 01/09/2018 01:38

I guess I'm hoping off and on again. AF got me yesterday so I'm starting over on this bus. Apparently now my cycle is only 24 days, second month in a row. After being 31 days before that. But I've also been taking vitamins.

DH and I decided it's doctor time to get our our mating bits checked out and make sure they're in working order. I'm 40, so I can't really be trying for a year before seeing anyone. It's been four months though. Somehow we both lucked into appointments next week instead of the usual 2-3 month wait. Wish me luck.

ImpatientMammy · 01/09/2018 01:58

@KatBeCool I dunno if your comfortable with it or not but they suggest waiting 6 months when your over 30 if I where you I'd exaggerate how long you've been trying a tiny bit. Get things moving a bit quicker x

ImpatientMammy · 01/09/2018 02:00

Saying that I don't remember where I read that information so it might not be right 🙈 x

KatBeCool · 01/09/2018 02:50

@ImpatientMammy oh yeah, I'm fully aware of the exaggeration! the reason I tried scheduling now is because in two months it would've been six months, I just didn't expect to get in next week instead of December.

coastergirl · 01/09/2018 03:52

@ImpatientMammy I've no idea what day I'm on because of the miscarriage! Just having to go for it and see what happens

thejollytrolleydolly · 01/09/2018 06:39

Hopping back on... AF got me 2 days ago so starting back from square one! Cd2 booyaa 😂
