Starting 2ww once again! Who's with me?

Looks like another 2ww for me, anyone else just Starting? I'm only 2DPO so still 12 days to get through!

Age - 25
TTC #2
Cycle 5
CD 16 on a 27 day cycle (usually)
Only 2 DPO
AF due 25th July

So I'm not in the 2ww anymore but I hope you don't mind me asking my question anyway. I'm on CD3, I had AF for two days, fairly heavy (for me, but probably just normal), and today... nothing. I've never had a period that only lasted 2 days before! Has anyone else ever had this? It is only my second period off the pill but I'm confused!

purplestar I’ve had that a few times! Really heavy for 2 days, nothing the next and then back to being heavy! It could just be your body returning to normal cycles since coming off the pill x

BFN this morning on Poundland test, still no AF. Feeling ill with this sore throat and nauseous (maybe from my throat hurting). Boobs hurting (not any more than usual AF tender boobs..)
what is going onnnnn?! 16 DPO now and want an answer either way 😭

Also keep thinking I'm about to come on as since yesterday I've had darker coloured cm. (More browney) TMI 😂

@alicepol how sure are you of your ovulation? Opks only show the surge before ovulation is supposed to happen - it sometimes doesn’t even if you get a positive on the strip. This is the only reason i temp as it shows if ovulation actually happens, not just tries to, iyswim.

I'm not sure at all of ovulation. Only went by calender as the last 4 cycles have been so regular at exactly 27 days so I just guessed this month.
Didn't BD for a week after suspected ovulation so I don't know what to Think??

Unfortunately not! Did another test this morning and it was a BFN I didn’t opk this month so maybe I did ovulate later, I’m not going to test again until mon as that would be a full week late if AF hasn’t showed up by then. How long would you wait until you went to gp for late periods?

I would say if still nothing a week after AF due to go to GP.
If not pregnant there may be another reason for missed period which they may want to look into.
I think I will be doing that if no AF or BFP by next wednesday.
Hopefully you just ovulated late and just too early for BFP. FX for a late BFP!
I'm going to wait until Sunday to test next if still no AF.

It can only be that you’re pregnant or ovulated later, 🤞 for the first!

Your luteal phase (time after ovulation/tww) will always be the same. Mine is 13 days so I know that I will get my period 13 days after confirmed ovulation. I think that it’s anything less than a 10 day luteal phase is a case for the GP.

I reckon I've just ovulated later then in that case unfortunately. Keep feeling like AF is defo coming soon!

Think we caught ovulation using opks. It's hard to say what cycle we're on. I came off the pill in January and we struggled to have enough sex/and at the right times in the first few months. Didnt want to but been using opks for 2 months now and at least we can concentrate the bd-ing when we need to!
It's been useful to find this community and see there are others in a similar boat!

That's me finally out! AF has unfortunately come! At least I know now and can move on to the next cycle. Will defo be buying ovulation tests for this cycle as well as temping and hopefully start to get a better picture.

Sorry to hear @alicepol :( it's not totally unusual to ovulate a few days later in a cycle, we just don't realise it happens now and then until TTC. I'm going back to opks this month too, not knowing when to really expect AF is a horrible feeling, especially if it's later than expected and we start getting hopes up, even just a little. Hugs ❤️

Thank you all. I won't be getting my basal thermometer until a couple of days, does it matter or is it best to go from first day of period?
Ordered some ovulation strips as well.

No I've read that temping during your period is unnecessary as it fluctuates quite a bit during it so doesn't add much info. Perfectly fine to start when it ends.

Ooh how exciting! My 30, yes THIRTY, cheapie pregnancy tests came in the post today! Fed up of spending £££ on FRERs.

Well I am officially out. Explains all the bfn. Pleased I can start next cycle now. Keeping fingers and toes crossed for everyone!

Exciting @8daysaweek ! I've ordered a pack of 10 ovulation tests and 10 pregnancy tests with a thermometer so that will do me for the next cycle 😂

@alicepol sorry you are out but fx for next month. I've been using opks for 2 months and found them helpful. We didn't manage to bd at the right time last month but as this is a struggle for us the opks help us to aim for the right time. I found that the apps said I was ovulating later than I was.

CD 6. First day after my period and I already forgot to take my temp first thing 😂 I'm rubbish at this haha. Got my ovulation sticks, but no idea when to start taking them? Or when in the day? And do the lines have to be exactly the same, and when they are does that mean your about to ovulate? I'm clueless!!!

I’m cd11 today.

We dtd every second day from cd8 and I start opk on cd10. Then once opk positive we dtd for 4 days straight.

The sticks are negative until the test line is as dark or darker than the control line, but if you test twice a day from cd10 you should see them get darker.

CD12 here and did my first Ov stocks today, both negative. Haven’t DTD at all yet due to me being away until last night but going to do it tonight and do EOD at least through fertile period and hopefully more often when I get a positive.
