Haha, the day dd was born was 38 degrees here. Our mws were suffering almost as much as me!

tortoiseSHELL · 26/05/2007 17:21

motherinferior · 26/05/2007 17:26

After a haircut.

dd was born in April - very good time imo.

ds in February, not a good time at all. Do you remember the heatwave in 2003? Not a good idea to be pg then.

thegardener · 26/05/2007 20:03

ds was born in feb felt fairly positive about that with light nights to look forward to & summer.

June/July is good for parties like someone else mentioned.

lol at some of the other comments, very good

Both my dd's are enod of april and it is a great time of year to have a baby

cityangel · 27/05/2007 01:29

For some people it's any time you're lucky enough to conceive.

skerriesmum · 27/05/2007 05:40

I like having babies in winter, you're not up to doing much for the first couple months anyway, and by the time summer comes you're well able to get out with the pram!

thegardener · 27/05/2007 08:05

i was very lucky with ds we didn't have to wait to concieve him,i came off the pill and concieved him within a month or so. I really do feel for people who have to wait & wait it must be really disapointing every month when you find out that you weren't successful this month and hope & hope that you will be next time.

Dh & i are now deciding whether i should come off the pill now or wait till sept??
Feel a bit scared in a way but excited in another, don't know what to do?

Hi just to say... great you had no problems conceiving your DS.... BUT... I had no problem conceiving my DS or my DD... but it took over 6 mths to get PG this time around. The summer baby plan went out the window ... but I am looking forward to a late October baby this time.

Dogsby- why is October so bad? I have already done December and January...

liath · 27/05/2007 08:42

I had trouble conceiving so i was blind luck that both mine are spring babies BUT there's a lot to recommend having a baby then.

Pregnant in winter so people less likely to grope your bump and you have a nice built in heating system (I used to radiate out heat ).

Nights getting shorter so overnight feeds less depressing.

Not too hot when baby tiny.

Maternity leave over the summer so lots of time outside, walks in the park etc.

Fewer viruses around so less likely that baby catches a cold in the early months (supposedly..........!)

thegardener · 27/05/2007 20:45

Thanks for your messages and advice, still deciding when to come off the pill!

its a big desicion make sure that you both want it.
it took us nearly two years to concieve my dd 1 in week an half so that was a big part of our desicion to ttc so soon after my dd we have been ttc for bout 6months now so it getting to the tough stage!
