Who’s trying SMEP this month?

Support thread for those giving smep a go this month! I’m CD6 so going to start soon. All fingers crossed that this works for us all this month.
Debating whether to buy CB OPK or just stick with IC - might do IC until around FW and then see if I can find a few old CB lying around to confirm a positive.
Anyone else giving this a go?

@TheMagicTorch ah oops I did test with digital he next day too and got static smiley so maybe that is normal to have a couple of days positive, but yu just don't need to check it. Ok great that means according to my apps I am officially in the tww 1dpo! Got to dtd tonight and then wed too just to complete smep!
How many dpo is everyone planning on testing? I think I'm going to start at 10dpo with IC...

@Firsttimer16 I'll probably start at 9DPO because I'm very silly. It's a Sunday so DH will be home and I'm got a bag of 30 ICs so I might as well 🙈

@TheMagicTorchI hope the coffee reduction isn't too brutal! It's cooled down a lot today where I am and we even got a bit of rain this morning. I'm quite pleased, I don't like the heat!

I'm feeling really sick but I don't think even I with my crazy symptom spotting can relate it to the TWW. My eldest is at a settling in session for his new school today. He went straight in without a backwards glance and I'm very emotional!

Haha yes @NoseringGirl! I now have visions of me running naked into an open plan office and trying to get some action!

@Firsttimer16 I got my bfp with dc1 on 10dpo so prob will test then if I managed to BD at some point over the next couple of days.

I'm trying so hard to wait until AF is due.. I only have one (!!) test in the house and it's a clearblue digital that tells you how many weeks from conception - left over from last month.. so I know I can't test early with that one.

@Muddytoes1 Thank you! I know its the right thing to do so I'm feeling positive about it (although ask me at the 3pm slump this afternoon and I might say different!)

That's a good way of stopping yourself testing early @TheMagicTorch you know you have to wait with a test like that!

Yep no testing for you @TheMagicTorch but that’s probably a good thing. I have a bad IC habit. Tested at 4 dpo this month , as just wanted to poas. Ridiculous. Was even disappointed when it was (obviously) negative.

Sorry that should say CD4 , period hadn’t even finished.

I have 15 or so hpts I'll not be able to help myself lol. Will try for next Mon 9dpo...🙈😄

@Angelmiracle @TheMagicTorch who am I kidding - I've got about 20 IC and about 6 FRER left from last month (I was on holiday for most of tww last time so could only use the few I had with me so was v restrained!) so if I last until 6dpo without testing I'll be amazed! I like testing at the start as you can still hold onto hope it's just too early. I start to get stressed by 10dpo as think something should be showing. Argh have all fingers crossed for all of us.

This right here is why I love being on these forums. My fellow POAS addicts! It's nice to be able to normalise and justify our addictions 😆

Hi all. Is anyone testing today? I’ve suddenly got the urge to but I’m only 9dpo (based on static smiley on digital OPK on 30th June following MC on 17th June) very nervous! X

Thank you everyone! The only challenge is not ordering FRERs on amazon prime which I know I can get next day 🤷 And I'm still symptom spotting like crazy at only 8dpo.

@TheMagicTorch I’m the same! It’s annoying that all the symptoms I got when I was pregnant are the same as PMS! Good luck to you :)

@Fae1989 I agree, it's so annoying! This is our first, but I had a BFP at 10dpo last month which sadly didn't stick - so of course now I'm comparing how I feel with how I felt last month.

@TheMagicTorch I know exactly how you feel! Fingers crossed for you :) I guess it’s the risk we take testing early but it’s really hard to resist! I might test tomorrow but I was getting BFNs up until the day before I was due on last time so don’t feel too confident! X

@TheMagicTorch we just got Amazon prime and now you've pointed this out, I feel an order coming on (even those I have all those ICs, FRERs are more sensitive) are you on commission? 😆

I'm guilty too - signed up to the free Amazon prime trial and ordered frers on it 2weeks ago for coming back from holiday. But I'd a 2 pack in the bathroom from boots 😤 Too much temptation 🤣

There’s no way I’ll get pregnant this month. Dh has already started making comments that he’s too hot and tired and I haven’t even started on him yet! I reckon it’s nerves about having another. He knows what he’s letting himself in for this time! Got ov pains so really need to BD tonight. Any seduction/ cooling tips welcome!
