Can't quite believe I've just written that title...after a lot of indecision DH and I have decided to see where fate takes us. So we're not obsessively trying, but I know generally when I ovulate so we'll DTD around that time. Tbh we're still not 100% convinced we'd cope with three, but sometimes you have to take a leap of faith.

I've been thinking about it constantly and our ages mean it's now or never. We adore our 2 DC's and if that's what we're meant to have we'll be very happy, but if fate has other ideas, we're up for the challenge!

About to start AF and then off we go Smile

Sorry to hear that @LittleTipple my body had messed with me in the same way this month. Hoping the next cycle brings you that BFP!

UntilTheVeryEnd · 25/06/2018 08:28

So sorry @LittleTipple that you got a BFN! Flowers Onwards and upwards for the next cycle... it’s so disheartening but crossing fingers for you that next month is your month.

Mamabear12 · 25/06/2018 10:30

LittleTriple, did you do the test yet to find out if you are pregnant? I have been thinking about a third for a while, but my husband always seems to want to wait forever, which is frustrating as our dc are now 6 and 4 and the gap would already be so big if we tired now. To be fair, we did just get a puppy now :) But, she is an angel and has been so easy (luckily as others have said pups are so much work). I know a newborn and a dog is not the easiest things together, but I have friends who have done it and we also have a live in au pair who would do the school run with the dog in the morning while I'm at home with the newborn the first few months (until we are ready to join!). Now, I just need to get my husband ready for the third!

Megs87 · 25/06/2018 11:45

@LittleTipple so sorry the witch got you too, our bodies have a way of conning us to believe the best don't they. I was exactly the same the first 2 cycles of TTC now I have given up listening to it in the TWW. Have a glass of vino and as you say new cycle new chance :) xxx

Mamabear12 · 25/06/2018 12:14

Ah sorry, Little Tripple, for some reason did not see your update until now. The baby will come, hopefully sooner then later. But enjoy the process and at least your husband is ready. I am fertile this week and wishing my husband would agree to try :(

LittleTipple · 25/06/2018 14:36

Thanks for the messages everyone. It was such a slim chance, I was daft to get ahead of myself, but I usually read my body quite well. Funnily over the TWW I was thinking 'Do I really want this?' and then seeing that BFN was such a disappointment. At least now I'm sure it's definitely what I want.

@Mamabear12 I'd say I'm more keen than DH, in that he was happy to stay at two or happy to go for third. He left the decision to try up to me really, but he is very hands on with our DC, so I know he'd be thrilled if/when the time comes. A puppy and a newborn sounds chaotic, but if you've got support it sounds very doable. If you're concerned about the age gap with your DC, could you try having a heart to heart with your DH? I think you need to know if he is just putting off going for a third or if truthfully doesn't want another one. It is a huge decision to change the dynamic of your family.

How is everyone today?

I'm in TWW now and trying not to symptom spot, just had quite a bit of pink tinged cm when I am normally dry and loads of cramping so as hopeful as I want to be I am trying not to get too caught up in it x

NoseringGirl · 27/06/2018 22:09

I find it impossible not to symptom spot, hope the spotting is a good sign for you @Megs87

I'm only CD7 so just waiting to start OPKs. I find this part of my cycle so dull! I also get a little bit anxious as I don't always ovulate.

Anyday88 · 28/06/2018 06:01

Sorry @LittleTipple but as you say onwards and upwards to the next cycle!

@Megs87 I am also in the 2ww, not feeling all that hopeful this month as ovulation seemed to go all off this month! Roughly 5dpo I think. Af due somewhere between 6th & 8th
I was hoping to maybe test on 4th as it is our wedding anniversary but I cant decide if that's a good idea or not!

Fingers crossed for us all!!

Megs87 · 28/06/2018 07:35

@Anyday88 I'm due on 7th too but I'm going to try and hold off until AF is due as I hate seeing a bfn!

Hopefully you will ovulate this cycle @NoseringGirl. I agree with the wait till fertile time is full x

UntilTheVeryEnd · 28/06/2018 19:43

Good luck to all ladies in the TWW and those about to get jiggy in their fertile period... baby dust to all!

While I wait for this bloody coil removal DH and I occupied ourself by looking at lots of 7 seater/ SUV/ MPV cars. Extensively tried out with new seats (yes I bought seats in preparation for children I do not have yet) and old baby carriers and would be happy to share my findings if anyone is interested Grin

Anyday88 · 28/06/2018 19:45

Yes please @UntilTheVeryEnd I am intrigued to see what you have found 😍

NoseringGirl · 28/06/2018 19:53

I'd be very interested @UntilTheVeryEnd we're getting our driveway done over the next few days then heading car shopping. Been putting it off until the driveway was done. Your research is very well timed Grin

UntilTheVeryEnd · 28/06/2018 21:37

Sit back and relax ladies, this is a long post 😂 Please be aware that I am by no means an expert and all comments are personal to me and my taste. I feel it is also important to note DH is a brand snob so his points will be noted. For your reference I used 2 Harmony high back boosters (41.5cm width) plus my silver cross simplicity seat and base (base 32cm / seat 44cm)
The harmony Dreamtime at currently on sale at Asda £18 (they are by far the slimmest ones I could find without paying huge pennies)
I have found Nania make TT BLine group 1/2/3 seats (43cm width) at Argos £40 ish

We are looking for PCP (personal contract plan) rather than purchasing outright.

Peugeot 5008
Exterior - sleek and rectangular with a lovely frontage. Not Mumbusey at all!
interior - very spacious, has 3 FULL seats in middle row all with ISOFIX and top tether. Seats fitted in absolutely perfectly. The dash and multi media was very very gadgety so good if you like that kinda thing. Seats were comfortable In my opinion but DH disagrees. Good head room (DH 6”2 for reference) back row has reasonable leg room and all seats in middle moved independently so could be moved if you needed more space in back row.
Park assist was ace - a must have with such a long vehicle.
Great boot space when rear seats dropped.
Still waiting on a quote back for price - mid spec range looks to be in our £400 pcm range.
This is my top contender!

VW Touran / Sharan / Tiguan Allspace

Tiguan - exterior was pleasing and Non mumbusey
Interior felt pretty basic and low spec but perfectly serviceable. Reasonably comfy but it was only 2 full seats and a 3/4 seat in middle row. I couldn’t really fit the seats into it safely. Depending on the age range of children it might be ok if used with booster (non high back). Decent head room but generally Thumbs down from us.

Touran - exterior was Mumbusey but not ugly.
Interior - the model we looked at was top spec and it was nice with a good solid build quality, much like you would expect from a VW. The upholstery was nice but suspect mid range or entry level wouldn’t be as nice. It has 3 FULL seats in middle row all with ISOFIX and top tether and the back row also has 2 ISOFIX and top tether seats! AMAZING! My cars seats all fitted perfectly! In terms of gadgets it had the rear park assist and all the sat nav stuff.
Great in terms of space - a bit ugly - but really expensive, even for a mid range model they were wanting in excess of £550 pcm. Much more affordable to purchase a used model - not really what we want to do tho.

Sharan - same as the Touran but bigger! With slide rear door which is cool as fuck for kids. Even more expensive tho so not really for us. Again used options probs best bet for affordability.

Citroen c4 Grand Picasso (new space tourer not available to see 😞)
Exterior - the new Citroen frontage is sleek and modern. A bit mum busey but not the worst.
Interior - very basic quality for upholstery and the dash is massive without a monstrous screen that just looks so out of place. It doesn’t feel like a great build quality. Seats weren’t that comfy and it just lacked that nice feel. Great space wise - really really huge with 3 individual middle row seats. Pretty sure all 3 had ISOFIX.
Not really a contender for us so didn’t take anymore info away.

SEAT Alehambra
Very similar to the VW Touran in terms of space and size. It also has the slider doors the same as the Sharan which is cool. Totally a mum bus but loads of space and comfy. Good head room. 3 full seats again with ISOFIX. DH didn’t like it so we moved away from with without anymore info.

Ford S-max
Exterior - really sleek and stylish. Mus bus style, by far the most attractive Mumbus out of all the mumbus types.
Interior - was really plush and comfy (top range model - too high spec for us, we would go more mid range) 3 full seats - so again all my seats fitted great.
Really liked this one to be honest - the sales guy was a total prat and couldn’t answer a single question so we will be going to another ford dealer to get prices etc.

Kia Sorrento
Exterior - gorgeous car, angular and sexy, not a mus bus.
Interior - very comfortable and very gadgety. Cool parking assists and cameras etc. 2 full seats (ISOFIX) and 3/4 in middle row. The car was very wide so I could JUST get the seats in and no more. Getting my hand down to strap in my oldest was be a challenge but doable. I didn’t like the the middle seat couldn’t be operated independently so getting to rear row would be awkward especially if all 3 seats were fitted. Good head space and leg room.
CRAZY prices - £750 pcm which is nuts, great 7 year warranty but they priced themselves out of the game. The guy said as well the old soreentos not the same as the new ones, so buying a used sorrento would be a totally different experience.
DH sad! He loved the Kia and he’s a snob

Land Rover Discovery Sport
Exterior - gorgeous car, absolute luxury, strangely reasonable prices considering brand.
Interior is pretty plush and gadgety as you would expect. Same issue as sorrento with the middle row seats. Can get the seats and and no more. Also found the seats VERY stiff to operate - could hardly slide them forward to get to rear row.
DH favourite as it is a premier name and good prices - it would be a compromise for me as it is tight for space in middle row (the only reason we are changing in first place)
Sexy car tho - would totally look the part on the school run.

Cars still to try:
Skoda Kodiaq
Renault Grand Scenic

Cars out our price range:
Volvo XC90
Audi Q7

If anyone wants any more info let me know. I know this was an essay and a half but I hope it helps 😂 happy reading and shopping. I was totally fucked afterwards

NoseringGirl · 28/06/2018 21:48

That's amazing @UntilTheVeryEnd thank you so much!

LittleTipple · 28/06/2018 22:29

Super impressed @UntilTheVeryEnd! I hate car shopping, so all of the below very useful.

Cycle wise I'm only on CD2. Spotting kept starting and stopping and finally now have AF. Must have ovulated late as that is the longest cycle I've had in a long time. Typical. Anyway bought some pre-natal vitamins today so feeling organised!

Megs87 · 29/06/2018 10:26

Amazing UntilTheVeryEnd! You have covered most cars that we were looking at except the Zafira too but wasn't sure on it.

LittleTipple fingers crossed for this cycle!

I feel horrendous this cycle struggling with cramps and nausea quite a bit hoping it will pass soon

LittleTipple · 29/06/2018 11:24

Ooh @Megs87 fingers crossed cramps and nausea are a good sign!

OP posts:
Megs87 · 29/06/2018 15:45

@LittleTipple I really hope so I am fed up of trying! Although it would mean I am due 18th March, I haven't carried past 38weeks which would give me 4th March which is ds1 5th birthday and DH is away with work then too. Totally think I am overthinking this as I bet next week AF shows up!

Wingingit3211 · 01/07/2018 13:09

Me and DH being arguing all week and my app has announced that I’m ovulating today. Annoying as we’ve barely had sex. Spent the weekend with my friend and her baby. Kn so broody it aches!

Anyday88 · 01/07/2018 15:41

How is everyone doing today? I'm roughly 9dpo now!
The frer haven't been delivered yet which is probably a good thing as I am already planning on my head when to take them 😂😂

I'm feeling increasingly nauseous yesterday and today but I am just trying to put it down to the heat as I am pretty sure it's too early for that 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Wingingit3211 hope you get chance to dtd!

NoseringGirl · 01/07/2018 19:03

I'm CD11 and started doing OPKs which are unsurprisingly negative. Still DTD as much as possible just in case (and because it's fun Grin)
Good luck for the arrival of the FRERs @Anyday88

Anyday88 · 01/07/2018 19:22

Thanks @NoseringGirl they arrived a few hours ago and I can already feel them burning a hole in my drawer 😂😂

NoseringGirl · 01/07/2018 19:41

So testing tomorrow then? Grin

Anyday88 · 01/07/2018 20:23

Probably @NoseringGirl even though realistically it's probably way too early 😂
