Jessabean I feel almost as impatient to see your next test as mine... haha. Fingers crossed for you for Wednesday (or tomorrow if you cave Wink)

Jessabean · 28/05/2018 17:22

Also @Funkyemzie that looks almost there to me- I would JKS from now though if I was you just to be sure anyway!

@Boboelephant I'm sorry your feeling rubbishy about stuff at the moment. I seem to have waves with good and bad periods with the low and anxious feelings around this process & am finding the longer it's going on for the harder it becomes to put the feelings aside/stick to the positive days. I think it's quite natural. This journey is hard & it is really not fair that we find ourselves here. I am also finding myself becoming jealous of those who have had such an east time conceiving and then feeling guilty as am genuinely happy for them. Basically what I'm trying to say is your right it's so shit but don't feel bad for how your feeling it's completely normal and natural & here for you if you need to vent! "Hugs"

Jessabean · 28/05/2018 17:25

Haha @KnitKitty thanks! Hoping we both manage it this cycle! 🤞

HidCat · 28/05/2018 17:40

Hi ladies, hope everyone is managing to have a good day. I'm trying to distract myself from POAS as it's waaay too early (5dpo ish). Currently cooking a new dish, some sort of Mexican dish with Cajun sliced potatoes. Smelling good for now lol.

MrsLCW · 28/05/2018 17:46

@HidCat I hear ya 😂 4DPO here and keep flitting between being desperate to test and scared to do it too soon and being disappointed/driving myself mad squinting at a pissy stick 😂

Funkyemzie · 28/05/2018 18:02

@boboelephant I've tried so many brands but over the months this is the only one that is sensitive enough. I actually have never had an "as dark or darker than the control line". I think I've just never found my right time. I'm on testing twice a day now so maybe start jks'ing from tonight?

Every time is see jks'ing it makes me chuckle! 😂

Boboelephant · 28/05/2018 19:25

@Jessabean thankyou! I agree with you.it is really hard and gets harder the longer it goes on. Sure I'll snap out of this soon, just having a bit of a bad slump! I really hope you get a bfp on Wednesday.
@HidCat and @MrsLCW haha. Try and wait a bit longer!
@Funkyemzie yep I'd definitely get on it!! Especially as once you get a positive you can ovulate anywhere from 12-48 hours later. So as you're super fertile 2 days before ov and if you have a short surge you wana cover your bases!! Haha me too. I prefer JKS to BD but have just realised every time I've written jks'ing I'm saying 'just keep shagging'ing' 😂😂 Oops!

MrsGS76 · 28/05/2018 20:02

@HidCat just keep distracting yourself, I bed it's super hard but super exciting at the same time!!

Congrats to the ladies with the BFP's.

Question - yesterday I had some slight spotting (red blood) when going to toilet and very, very minor on pad , today I'm in full AF for the first time after MC. So do I count today as CD1 or yesterday as CD1?

I've had a lovely day today with family, took a walk to the special place we buried our little bundle of joy x so sad but so looking forward to the future of possibly adding another one to our family x

HidCat · 28/05/2018 20:18

@MrsGS76 CD1 is the first day of proper bleeding, so today.

Keeping everything crossed for everyone in the TWW! Resist, resist, resist lol

YellowDaffodils86 · 28/05/2018 20:21

@Boboelephant hey, iv stopped spotting so im taking the 7 spotting days as my period and counting the first day as cd1. Will try to track cm and see if fw starts when i think it might. 🤷🏻‍♀️
@SerenaOverjoyed how are you doing?

YellowDaffodils86 · 28/05/2018 20:33

@Wellthisunexpected @hayleyfx aww congratulations on your "pregnant" results today: i really hope everything goes well.
I hope you both stick around and keep us posted on how things are going.
I don't find it upsetting, honestly to see a lovely big positive test, stings a little but just for second and then i just feel soo happy for you😊

MrsGS76 · 28/05/2018 20:53

@HidCat thanks very much for that, ! I know it's only a day but every day counts.
@YellowDaffodils86 Good luck with your journey! Xx

penguingirl · 28/05/2018 21:40

@HidCat ah, thankyou, I have just ordered myself a bumper pack from amazon!!
@DaisyMay25 oh yes, cats ALWAYS make things better! my 2 mentalists keep me going through some serious crappy times!
@MrsGS76 Ha! I didn't get to see a midwife for either one of my pregnancies (1st miscarried at 6 weeks and was a couple of days away from my booking appt 2nd time as miscarried at 8weeks and 3 days, which stupidly was one of the things I was really upset about as thought I was at least going to get to book in this time) But I was fully prepared for the terminology as I'm 43!! Grin
I wonder if I'm the oldest TTC-er on this thread?! Blush

penguingirl · 28/05/2018 21:44

oh, and yes yes yes to the ladies wondering if they should keep posting after bfp's, as others have said the hope that you lovelies bring to the thread is one of the great things about it, if you guys can do it then there's a bloody good chance we all can Grin

Lilimum4 · 28/05/2018 22:27

OK what do you ladies think. I have a 28 day cycle. Looking at the opks I might O earlier than cd14. What do you think?

Lilimum4 · 28/05/2018 22:29

I think its safe to say I'm poas freak. But I'm starting opks early due to scans on my ovaries on Monday. I don't normally start this early lol

MrsGS76 · 28/05/2018 22:39

@penguingirl , so sorry for your losses and not even a midwife app! However I was disappointed with my MW as I'd been for a long appointment at 9 weeks giving her my life story and a few weeks later when we found out baby had more than likely passed at that time, I've not heard from her? Not a phone call to ask if I have any questions/worries etc?? So a bit disappointed.
I'm 43 next Feb so looks like you may be the oldest TTC'er on here! It seems having babies older is more common these days xx good luck! Xx
@Lilimum4 I'm using those same OPK but as far as I've read the lines need to be the same for it to be positive for ovulating? As this is my first month I may just use them daily to try get a correct result. Have you been using this kit long? Xx

Lilimum4 · 28/05/2018 22:49

@MrsGS76 I used this kit last month and got a super positive test the day I thought I would ovulate cd14 but unfortunately I think I had a chemical pregnancy. I tested positive on frer on 8/9 dpo and 11 dpo but started to bleed on cd28 ( 14 dpo) so I think these tests work for me. Looking back though the test line this month is stronger for cd8 than last month, if that makes sense

MrsGS76 · 28/05/2018 22:55

@Lilimum4 Yep that makes sense , thanks I've never used these before so this time it's all a bit military planned!! Fx for you this month xx

Boboelephant · 29/05/2018 06:29

@MrsGS76 i agree with @HidCat and would count yesterday as day 1. They say count full flow not spotting. Glad you had a positive day 😀
@YellowDaffodils86 sorry its been such a frustrating cycle for you so far but hopefully it was just an odd period and now you're not too far off fw!
@penguingirl you may be but we defi have a few 41 and 42 year olds. As long as you feel young and positive you'll be fine!! Plenty of my 40+ friends have fallen way easier than me at 35! (And 33 and 34)
@Lilimum4 it's hard to say hun. You may but you also may not. Sometimes I have a faint line for days and sometimes mine has gotten darker and then lighter again before going positive. Also if you ovulate day 14 you may get your positive on day 12 or 13. Keep testing and keeps JKS if you can. I'm going to find an old photo for you as an example. Also you may not ovulate the same day, I've had day 17, day 22 and day 16. So confusing!!

Boboelephant · 29/05/2018 06:32

@Lilimum4 just as an example. I had this top line and thought it was soon. Then it got lighter and I didn't get a positive for 5 more days. Keep testing. Hope it happens soon!

Blondcat · 29/05/2018 06:57

@maxiflump1 that looks like a line to me and sometimes I have difficulty seeing them on here! Congratulations fx for a sticky one x

HidCat · 29/05/2018 07:10

@maxiflump1 that's definitely a line! Congratulations! Hope it sticks and you have a lovely pregnancy!

hayleyfx · 29/05/2018 07:28

@KnitKitty thank you hun! I’ll keep you all updated 😊

@Funkyemzie I would say today or tomorrow you’ll get your positive!

@Boboelephant thank you! This month I told myself that if it didn’t happen then it’s okay - I’ve got so much to be thankful for. For once I just thought I need to trust my body - it’ll happen when the time is right. Also planned to go for a night out with my SO, food, drinks etc. We’ll still do it but no alcohol for me haha! 😀

@JessaBean @YellowDaffodils86 thank you ladies! I’ll stick around and keep you all updated. Want to see you all get your bfp’s too!!

@maxiflump1 I see it!! I hope it gets nice and dark and I hope it sticks for you! 🤞
