[... Insert jazzier title here!]

The bus is still running, we're sick of bastard bfns, and crossing fingers (and some) for Feb 2019 babies. Come join!

I'm 35 yo
DD is 3yo
Cycle 25 (urgh!!)
Af/bfp due 18th June

After a few months charting and opk-ing, I've decided to chuck it all out and try and dtd every other day. Eek. Only two more cycles until we start ivf in August so crossing fingers we can get a natural bfp before then. Here's hoping!

@Treaclepie19 I'm sorry lovely, it must be so nerve wrecking!! Is it worth checking with your GP or and EPU, if you have one. I didn't bleed much last time, but fainted at 5+5 and got an internal scan to see if that caused any problems.

@Sodababy2 I couldn't count how many tests I did last time. I found digitals reassuring for progression, as it was easier and kept me from testing more than once a week Blush Hope your lines are getting stronger!

@Angelmiracle 6+4 already?! I hope the month goes quickly for you!

sodababy2 · 02/08/2018 10:41

I'm a wreck. FRER yesterday definitely darker but did another this morning and definitely fainter. Think I'm going to lose this one. Not sure I how I'll get through it again Sad

mayago · 02/08/2018 11:44

@sodababy2 sending you all the positive vibes! It's just one test that was fainter? It's not an exact science, and as hard as it is to do, try to take a step back. You are pregnant as of this moment, and you need to take care of you! Maybe give it a couple of days before you test again? Though, I am fully aware I wouldn't follow this advice if it were me. Everything crossed for a sticky bean! Flowers

Treaclepie19 · 02/08/2018 11:57

Thanks Mayago, I've been to the doctors but they just said wait and see. They won't send me for a scan because I'm technically only 4+2 (would be 4+6 adjusted for short cycles)

I have my fingers crossed for you soda

sodababy2 · 02/08/2018 12:03

Thanks @mayago and @Treaclepie19 - got my fingers crossed for you too. It's so hard.

Yes @mayago - fainter test today which good wee hold. I know I need to step away but have no idea how I'll do that!

I'll try to post the tests.

@sodababy2 try tomorrow morning HCG supposed to double every couple of days. The levels fluctuate wildly between women 🤞🤞

mayago · 02/08/2018 13:25

I wouldn't say that's hugely fainter @sodababy2. And with my chemical I never got a line nearly as strong in the first place, which I think is the norm with chemicals. I think the rule is HCG doubling every 48 hours, so perhaps use every second day's test to compare?

It's still a strong line! Especially for only 12dpo. FRERs are on offer at Superdrug at the moment Grin

sodababy2 · 02/08/2018 13:36

Thanks @mayago. With my chemical / m/c I did get a decent line on FRER and positives on digital etc but then it gradually went lighter and started bleeding at 17dpo. My line was probably as dark as it currently is now but it didn't get darker if you see what I mean.

I know, it's a really strong line - shocked me how strong it was at 10/11 dpo! But then would have expected it to be considerably darker now at 12dpo - I think the line today probably is about as dark as 10dpo.

I know I really need to step away. I'm going insane Blush

mayago · 02/08/2018 13:45

@sodababy2 I'm not sure I ever got as dark as the control line on FRERs. I think it's so much worse TTC the second baby, as you just know more of what happens, and what can go wrong.

Not sure what you can do to influence things at this stage - maybe baby aspirin is worth looking in to? Warm soups, keeping your feet warm and relaxing with yoga are in my repertoire if I'm nervous with a Bf(aint)P again. Again, so much easier said than done.

sodababy2 · 02/08/2018 17:29

Thanks @mayago really appreciate you reasoning with my crazy!

Just did another test (was there any doubt?!) and it came up straight away and is really dark so I feel reassured and I'm getting DH to hide every other test from me! I think the fact I have zero symptoms isn't helping with feeling like this isn't real. Not cancelling my IVF appointment until the last minute!

Who's next to test?

Hisashiburi · 02/08/2018 19:30

Sodababy. I wouldn't worry ...that is a very strong line!
I'm due to test in a week. I really have no idea when I ovulates though so not sure if I am in with a chance! Difficult to get the balance between being sexy/spontaneous and planning for that BFP 😂

Mammyofasuperbaby · 02/08/2018 21:16

Keep thinking positive Sodababy2, I know it's easier said than done. The tests look good and equally as dark.
I'm due to test on Monday although all my symptoms have disappeared so I'm thinking more IBS flare up and not pregnancy

CatRen27 · 03/08/2018 10:05

Wow @soda what a crazy time, sounds like you're reassured now though so that's fantastic news!

I don't know where i am in this cycle. Fertility friend thinks i ovulated turbo early on cd12 (dtd that day and cd14) but I've had other pains today at 5dpo which feel like ovulation so going to dtd again just in case. Feeling pretty relaxed right now, low expectations for a natural bfp and appointment on Tuesday with the ivf nurses to get things moving.

I'll probably be testing on Wednesday though!

sodababy2 · 03/08/2018 11:28

Thanks @CatRen27 Definitely feeling more reassured now. I had acupuncture today which I always find relaxing and I'm stepping away from tests apart from 1 IC a day which barely counts right?!

Today I am pregnant and feeling stressed about things isn't going to change the outcome!

Are you temping or doing OPKs @CatRen27? I have high hopes for you - I really think for me it was giving up all hope and focussing on IVF that did it! It took the pressure off completely knowing that we had the IVF plan. And we were on holiday when we conceived which probably didn't harm things either Smile

mayago · 03/08/2018 20:52

Way too early at 8dpo, and I can't tell if it's pink or not. Trying again on Sunday!

Mammyofasuperbaby · 03/08/2018 21:26

That's definitely super faint. Testing again on Sunday sounds best FX
Hoping August is a bumper baby month for us all

sodababy2 · 03/08/2018 22:02

Definitely a line there @mayago! Fingers crossed for you! Hoping August is going to be a big fat bumper positive month for us! Grin

Angelmiracle · 03/08/2018 23:51

How exciting @Mayago I see something fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞

LethargicButAwesome · 03/08/2018 23:58

Oh maya I see it too ! At 8dpo that's so exciting, hold on in there and test again after a couple of days :/

On holiday and in the hot tub a lot, but trying not to think about treating next week!

Treaclepie19 · 04/08/2018 07:23

Congrats mayago! That's definitely a line. Looks like one of my first ones.

Hisashiburi · 04/08/2018 09:37

Looks like a very faint line but still a line!! Congrats mayago!

mayago · 04/08/2018 14:01

Thanks ladies! I have one FRER left, and a bit terrified there won't be a line tomorrow. Super crampy today, and trying to tell myself implantation wouldn't be all done and dusted yet.

I should have waited until AF is late to test, but this is my favourite hobby right now 🙄

LethargicButAwesome · 04/08/2018 18:53

Hold on in there maya, hopefully tomorrow there will be a darker line and the guessing game willl end، sending you lots of positive vibes for testing tomorrow!
