TTC first baby cycle one! Anyone else out there?

So.... first baby 🤞🏼🙏🏽🤞🏼🙏🏽 Meant to be ovulating tomorrow. Main challenge atm is keeping things fun with the husband and not making him feel like a baby making machine 😂 How’s it going for other hopeful first time mummy’s?

@stephmelhuish I am new too this too. I never know when to check or do a test as I'm so early into this. Did you have a withdrawal bleed?
My period before that was shorter and I missed three pills from my last pack but don't think I could pregnant off just that. Have a lot of cramping which I'm guessing is ovulation, going to toilet more and back ache...
So hard to stay off the internet and look up everything.

@Delilah7 I did get a withdrawal when I came off the pill. Also, you are an adult it's not our business to pass judgement on the age you are TTC. I'm 26 and I know some people in real life who will think that's way too young, my elder brother for one! The way you disclosed it on here almost gives people a window to judge and I don't think you need to justify yourself etc, it really isn't for us to comment on 

@stephmelhuish I am 8DPO too! My last two cycles were in excess of 40 days so I don't even know when AF is due though

@OrcinusOrca I know I'm a person that worries about judgement so maybe I shouldn't of started with that! Do you always have to have a withdrawal bleed to become pregnant after coming off? X

Hello all! I'm also new to MN - Hubby just sent me the link to this thread and suggested I join! Is it just me or does registering on MN make this decision all the more real?! 😱

Hubby and I have been talking and thinking about TTC for months now (I came off the pill 18m ago) and finally decided this is the month to go for it. Difficulty is that for the first time in ages I had a change to my cycle from 34 days to 28 days exactly when AF last visited so as a result I'm not sure when I ovulated this month! I got the EW CM consistently around the time it would be if 28 and then again for a couple of days after. Also had some cramps a few days after too. Been googling all the signs but now I think I am just looking for them!!

If it's 28 days then AF should come today, if I'm going back to 5 weeks then it will be next week. When should I test? 😕

I'd say if your period is a few days late that's when I would.. x

@Delilah7 Hey! 👋🏻 I know I should wait 😫 I never understood when friends said they took loads of tests but now I can totally see it happening. So many of the symptoms seem to be the same as if AF is coming too. What are the chances of it happening 1st time?

Withdrawal bleeding? From coming off the pill? I've not been on the pill for around 8 months. Went to a zika area pm for our honeymoon back in September so have had to use condoms for x many months on our return.

I'm so new to all this. I use the Clue app to keep a record of my cycle and when my fertility window is, but still really confused by the whole thing, lol.

Be nice if it did happen first time! I keep looking up things and hoping I'll fall quickly. Just scary, I'm fertile now but can't pin point when I'm ovulating I don't think and don't particular want to spend money.

And tulip, I've heard you're meant to have one. Someone on another post said mine was a few days before my period was meant to come but I would class that as an early period!

So many things to look up and out for. So confusing.

Hi I'm TTC#1, cycle 1, CD18, I think maybe 1dpo or maybe ov today? I use Vlue as well! But it doesn't show my FW - not sure if because I don't enter info like BBT? The people who use it, did it do this automatically? It's only the second cycle I'm tracking though, only started last month while I was waiting to have the coil removed

Hi @starsandstuff! I'm not sure as I haven't used it. Flo just tracks my period and ovulation or fertile week.
How's it going for you? I'm stressing out!

Hi Delilah I'm trying to stay very unstressed as it's only the first try. I have a pt ready to go and I've sworn I'm not testing til AF is actually due but we'll see how that goes When can you test?

@starsandstuff Same for me. So confused as I have been told I had a withdrawal bleed instead of an actual period... but could it actually be that when I was only three days early! I can't take one for a few weeks but I just wanna try. Babies are always on my mind but first try! X

It's been so long since I came off the pill, I had the coil for years, so I can't remember how that all works sorry. Having said that I had the copper coil which shouldn't affect hormones or cycles at all, but got it out last month and my cycle was nearly a week longer than usual so who knows?? I think our bodies merrily do what they do until we decide to try and then they start messing about

@starsandstuff not sure as mine definitely shows my fertile window! Maybe it needs a month or so to start tracking??

So... I just took a test which was a really bad idea but I couldn't help it... it's only been one week P.O.... it was negative of course but is there still a chance or should I just focus on the next cycle? @Delilah7 I use Flo as well-seems pretty good so far.
Also Boots OPK and pregnancy tests are 3 for 2 atm everyone! I got stocked up
Argh and this is just my first cycle - can see why husband thinks I'll wind myself up!

@Delilah7 first time! 😕 so doubt it is anything but still...

I'm 10dpo now I think and still nada so I'd say I'm out 😑 had really bad pms yesterday too way worst than usual so that's been fun

@rosesandponies I'd say still give it a chance but don't be so hung up on it just in case. I'm in the same boat, first cycle. Flo seems to be pretty good so! Oh okay, that's interesting. :)

@Wowthisisreal you never know lovely. Keep some faith but don't get hung up on it. That's what I'm trying to do. Don't stress. I've got such bad 'ovulation' pains. Suckkkks. Today's really bad already.

@hamandpease don't rule it out lovely just maybe don't get so hung up on it. I am in the same boat this morning my tummy is awful!! Genuinely had to check if I was bleeding as it felt like a AF.
