Hey Smile
I'm pretty new to TTC and already feeling stressed out and worried it will never happen! We decided that we would start TTC in Feb. My cycles are reeeeally long/irregular so I am wondering if I should go see a Doctor. Last month I was really emotional when AF arrived (after a 45 day cycle, the witch) and we decided maybe we should take a break for a few cycles. However I'm due to ovulate soon and of course I feel like we should try again... but I can hardly face another 2ww!

jeanzbeanz · 11/05/2018 16:49

I should add, we are both early/mid 20s and trying to conceive #1

TwinkleBear · 11/05/2018 16:55

I'm in the same boat @jeanzbeanz. It's only our first month actively trying but I'm already so stressed over it! Praying so hard for a miracle in the first or second cycle! The tww is horrible. Fingers crossed for everyone on this journey! Why can't it just be as easy as everyone always warned us it would be when we were younger???

TwinkleBear · 11/05/2018 16:56

I'm 29 DH's 27 and were also TTC#1.

jeanzbeanz · 11/05/2018 16:58

@twinklebear I know right? Feel like I have spent my entire life avoiding pregnancy and being terrified of it (and feeling smug about people who had accidental pregnancies!) only to find that it's not as easy as I thought...

The 2ww is just horrible!

TwinkleBear · 11/05/2018 17:02

Fingers crossed for all of us!!! Xx

WaitingForThatBFP · 11/05/2018 17:32

@flapjackered long and irregular cycles are the worst I’m currently on cd 63 😭 after a 45 day cycle last time.. it’s so frustrating..

I don’t use opks or temp as I feel like that’ll stress me out more than I already am.. although I do check my cervical fluid and position of my cervix

hamandpease · 13/05/2018 17:06

I tested at 6dpo 😩😩😩 I mean I knew it wouldn't work but still...

OrcinusOrca · 13/05/2018 19:36

@hamandpease oh dear! I've done my upmost not to before and then still done it, doesn't mean you're out at least as it was so early. I've stopped buying tests, not good if you have a stash already though, I'm bad at self restraint.

I'm going to try super hard not to. I don't even know when I'm due AF, last cycle was 48 days, but according to FF I ovulated ok CD22 and am 5DPO today. Weirdly I have a more optimistic feeling to TTC this year than last (only tried for a few months then stopped due to a new job).

Unicorn234 · 13/05/2018 20:24

Hey guys I know this might sound a little silly and I've actually said this month I'm going to go with the flow but I'm keen to see whether I ovulate when I normally should. I've got enough ovulation strips to test lots of time so I'm going to start a few days before my fertile window. But say if I got a positive in the morning would I still be positive that same night. How long does it last?

Trying1stBaby · 14/05/2018 19:13

Hey guys... I just did a pregnancy test and got this... Is that positive... I'm freaking out!

TTC first baby cycle one! Anyone else out there?
TwinkleBear · 14/05/2018 19:33

Certainly looks like a BFP to me @Trying1stBaby !!!! Congratulations!!!!!

Trying1stBaby · 14/05/2018 19:36

Do you think?!? Shock IV just been to the shops for more tests so I can do another in the morning. Can't believe it!

WaitingForThatBFP · 14/05/2018 19:57

@Trying1stBaby that’s a positive to me!! Congratulations x

OrcinusOrca · 15/05/2018 19:51

Congrats @Trying1stBaby !

Where has everyone else gone, are you all still here?! So quiet. 7DPO here and wishing time away Smile

rosesandponies · 15/05/2018 22:17

@OrcinusOrca I'm still here!πŸ˜‚ had a busy weekend away. Still waiting anxiously... I've got a bit of acne today and feeling a bit blue which seems like PMS to me, so not very hopeful for this cycle! @Trying1stBaby congratulations πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ did you do more tests?

WaitingForThatBFP · 15/05/2018 23:15

Hey guys I’m still here... had my doctors appointment today to discuss my ultrasound results..
according to the results I have a retroverted uterus and I have β€œin excess of 10 immature follicles which may suggest pco but the appearances weren’t convincing” the doctor was saying she’s going to refer me to gynae as they’ll be able to explain everything in more detail but we won’t be referred til after DH has his SA done which I’m hoping is soon.

hamandpease · 16/05/2018 00:11

Congratulations @Trying1stBaby!!!

How many dpo was that?

FlapJackered · 16/05/2018 06:37

Congrats @Trying1stBaby that does look like a positive! Have you tested again?

I got a positive OPK today, which is very exciting as I had it in my mind they wouldn't work on me (I don't know why!) - now to gently gently persuade DH to DTD without putting pressure on!

FlapJackered · 16/05/2018 06:40

@WaitingForThatBFP I am not sure what that means for ttc but I hope you get some answers from the gynae. I found out I have a Thyroid problem - it is frustrating when you have made the decision to ttc to then find it may not be as easy. Fingers crossed for you.

Trying1stBaby · 16/05/2018 06:45

Thanks ladies! I'm in shock! I think that was at 17dpo and I did another test yesterday morning and it was the same so I went to the drs and he said a line is a line it'll be faint because it's very early. So it's all official Smile. Sending lots of baby dust and luck to you all!

OrcinusOrca · 16/05/2018 06:47

@WaitingForThatBFP I have a retroverted uterus, that in itself isn't meant to cause any TTC problems. Your uterus will usually flip the right way as and when it needs to if it is so retroverted that it needs to move. I think quite a few more women have retroverted ones after they've had DC. I was told when I was about 13 or 14 (26 now). Can't comment on the rest but thought I'd mention Thanks

Delilah7 · 16/05/2018 11:08

Congratulations to the above.
I’m rather new to this and probably will be abit young in your eyes to be trying for a baby.
I stopped my pill after my period which was 5th may and finished slightly early. We have been having regular unprotected sex, did any of you ladies have a withdrawal bleed after you stopped the pill? As I haven’t yet and abit worried I might not get a good chance at being pregnant until I have. Anything I can do to help and improve my chances? I know I’m ovulating now. Xx

Delilah7 · 16/05/2018 11:11

I’m 22 forgot to add! :)

stephmelhuish · 16/05/2018 11:35

I'm new to MN too. I'm TTC#1, 8 DPO and did one of those CB early detection tests yesterday and had a BFN. Trying my hardest not to symptom spot too, so just going to wait until AF(21st) and see what happens then.
