Not sure if it is a certain person/group of people who start these threads but hadn't seen the June bus rolling round yet so here goes...

Pregnacare don't seem to have any effects on me, I took then with DD1 too. I'm now half way through the TWW, nothing to report either way though. We're visiting family this weekend so a good reason not to test until Tuesday at the earliest although I think I'll try and sit on my hands until closer to next weekend.

Spottyyellowdress · 26/05/2018 08:47

Finally got a positive opk yesterday on cd20 - been a pretty stressful month at work so maybe that’s delayed it? Makes the two week wait even bloody longer!!!

Dassie81 · 26/05/2018 08:48

Just a question, I got an opk static smiley on CD19 (last saturday) but didn't notice any EWCM (but had discharge because of BD). Today I have loads of EWCM, do we need to spend the long weekend BD? I'm already exhausted from regularly doing it during what I thought was my fertile week!

Oh, and I take pregnacare. No problems, they're just bloody expensive!

JustLikeTheySaid · 26/05/2018 09:10

The b6 in the pregnacare ones definitely caused issues. It is meant to regulate cycles but can elongate them. My 30day cycles became 38 and then I skipped a period entirely - cycle was technically 67 days! Came off them and back to normal within a month. I believe the seven seas ones contain less b6. Anyway pleased to hear I was unusual in them messing with my cycle!

@TheOneWithTheBaby glad it helps. You can't miss it. And yes I'm just taking folic acid and vit d (Which I was taking anyway). My GP recommended starting the pregnancy vitamins when I get a positive test, rather than messing around with my cycle in advance.

Age: 35
Cycle: 1
TTC #3
AF/BFP due around 8th June

Funkyemzie · 26/05/2018 10:09

Morning everyone, happy BH weekend.

So I'm just entering my fw now, lines have slowly been getting darker on OPK this last week so lots of bd'ing these next few days. Can't wait to see some bfp's in June, including mine!!!

TheOneWithTheBaby · 26/05/2018 10:23

No second line for me, it's cycle day 14. From my temps it does look as if I may be ovulation late (in the months I'm ovulating). However I find the tests such a faff that I'm always a bit disputed when it's literally showing nothing πŸ˜‚I know that's ridiculous

Wishful30 · 26/05/2018 10:44

@TheOneWithTheBaby
I was advised to opk test twice a day as sometime a LH surge will only last 12hours. Therefore you may be missing the 'peak' part of it.
I forked out for a clear blue monitor. And tbh the throw away smiley face ones were just as good 😐
I can only test once a day. I can only take a test for ovulation or pregnancy if it actually asks for one. All that's different is that it predicts your ovulation next time and you can add periods in. Which I have an app for πŸ™„
I'd try opk testing twice a day Wink

Wishful30 · 26/05/2018 10:47

You can also have a blood test for progesterone at cd 21 if you are worried you're not ovulating.
The level of progesterone will determine if you have definitely ovulated or not.

TheOneWithTheBaby · 26/05/2018 10:51

Thank you @Wishful. I'm on holiday this week I might try testing twice a day this week then.

I did have blood tests. A week after peak temp like advised. Nothing. Tests implied no ovulation and my period started a few days after. I had a scan which showed a follicle 'ready to be go' as the lady said, but my period staged two days after that. So I was referred to the gyno and now waiting for that. All a bit confusing so I thought I'd start using OPKs to monitor. However, I think my appointment may be before I can get OPk results clearly.

TheOneWithTheBaby · 26/05/2018 10:54

Also, they say on the tests to limit fluid intakes which I'm not really doing as i need to drink regularly to avoid migraines. I don't drink excessive amounts, just regularly. Hope that's not too bad

sailorcherrie · 26/05/2018 11:27

Hey my fellow TWW'ers! I remember a few of us are waiting for the fateful 5th of June of BFPs!

4DPO and it's already taking all my might not to turn into a symptom spotting crazy woman!

Definitely feel like this month was more organised and promising than last month!

Started using Fertility Friend this month and although the graphics are a bit 1980s I've found it so much more useful that the fancy/pretty Clue app! Still currently using Clue to track as well as I have about 2-3 years worth of data in it so it's better for predictions etc but loving Fertility Friend for the explanations of what I'm tracking so I feel less crazy-lady and more in sync with my body πŸ€ͺ

Toot toot! June Bus!

Spottyyellowdress · 26/05/2018 11:58

@sailorcherrie I’ve just switched from clue to fertility friend as well - it looks horrible but so much more useful!

Funkyemzie · 26/05/2018 13:05

I've tried Ovia, Clue and a couple of random others but Fertility Friend is by far the best! X

TheMagicTorch · 26/05/2018 14:38

I used clue and loved the layout but the app itself was rubbish! I'm using Flo at the minute which I'm getting used to, it's not too in depth so might switch if we don't get our BFP soon x

NoseringGirl · 26/05/2018 14:41

Jumping on if that's okay!

Age: 35
TTC: #3
Cycle: 1 (though we've not been that careful for the last couple of cycles)
AF/BFP due: approx 21st June

I'm CD1 today and my cycles are about 26 days but I have PCOS and so it can be variable!

rosesandponies · 27/05/2018 02:06

@TheMagicTorch how are you finding Flo? I've been quite happy so far but wondering about switching to a temperature based one. Also using OTK from pharmacy

Owlpatrol · 27/05/2018 08:11

Hi all jumping on and catching up...hoping for some positive results this month

Age 30
Ttc #1
Cycle day 4
Cycle 18 Sad

Doctor booked again for the 4th so I can be 're tested also currently looking for private clinics. This month I'm trying the "trying but not trying" thing not temping or using opks much just my trusty ovia app to keep me sane and you lovely ladies of course!

I am currently applying for new jobs and dp been so positive for me but had a total melt down when Af came that all I want to be is pregnant and I don't want a new job!!

Owlpatrol · 27/05/2018 08:16

Forgot to mention that bfp due 22nd June! And I'm also considering fostering! I know there's a whole thread for that so I won't bore you here

HidCat · 27/05/2018 09:09

@Owlpatrol sounds like you're making positive steps. I can only imagine how hard this is for you but as long as you're not on contraception there is always a chance.

JustLikeTheySaid · 27/05/2018 09:20

Fingers and toes crossed for you @OwlPatrol. I am due AF on the 20th so hopefully we will both miss out this month together!

Just to say, in my opinion fostering is one of the most (if not THE most) important things someone can do. Both from my own experiences as a child and professionally now, great foster parents change children's lives forever. So best of luck to you on conceiving AND on fostering. Xx

Wishful30 · 27/05/2018 09:21

@Owlpatrol
Hello Smile are you on route to ivf if you don't mind me asking?

I'm 35 and looks like af just arrived πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ been trying for about a year now.
Almost a year now so going for natural IUI in June. If that doesn't work will be taking Clomid for 2 cycles, then it's ivf 😐
NHS won't fund IUI which is annoying.

I don't know what area you're in, but The London Women's Clinic are amazing.
They are Buckhurst Hill, Brentwood and Harley Street. May have more clinics.
Give them a call, they're good for advice if nothing else.
Fingers crossed for you xx

Wishful30 · 27/05/2018 09:23

And so it looks like af is now due 25th June.
So I'm staying on the June bus x
CD1 - here we go again πŸ™„

JustLikeTheySaid · 27/05/2018 09:23

A question for you all - do you all lie with your legs in the air after BD?! Does it make any difference/is there any evidence that it helps?! And if so what position do you go for?! For me it might be the least romantic part of this whole process...

HidCat · 27/05/2018 09:34

@JustLikeTheySaid as far as I know there's no scientific fact behind it, it's anecdotal, but some feel like they're doing something proactive and it certainly isn't counterproductive to do so. I tend to lie on my tummy for a chat with DH after anyway but I don't stick my legs up.
