Hi All - I havnt been on this thread much as I've been struggling myself with last couple of weeks (a constant cycle!).

We literally had a complete marathon last month which emotionally was tough (both feeling under pressure).

Then I had some blood tests which pointed to a thyroid problem which I am waiting to speak to GP about Tuesday but my understanding is it can affect fertility / increase miscarriage risk.

BUT on a brighter note I done a test this morning and I have a BFP Confused

My emotions are literally all over the place - I refuse to feel excited until I understand more about his thyroid problem and get past 12 weeks but it's a small relief we are opening a new chapter!

Thank you @BabynameEdie @Cakelaur @HidCat @YellowDaffodils86 baby dust all round.
I still can't believe it so quickly after my mc

zarala · 13/05/2018 08:03

@Patienceofatoddler WOWWWWWW!
Amazing news to wake up to!
From my understanding about it they will monitor your bloods through pregnancy and give you medicine depending on the levels of your thyroid hormone- it's easily treatable and really quite common- so don't worry too much! I am getting mine tested tomorrow 😘 JKS WINS AGAIN!!!! 🙌🏽 good luck and Fx for a healthy and easy pregnancy!

Cakelaur · 13/05/2018 08:49

@Patienceofatoddler OMG!! Amazing news!!! What a strong line!!! Mega marathon defo paid off for you too!!! 👍🏻

hayleyfx · 13/05/2018 09:20

@toots123 I’m so sorry for your loss. How awful. I hope you find this thread as helpful as I have, everyone here is lovely 💕
@Curlypop congrats!! FX for a very sticky bean 🤞
@Martydog holiday is a great idea! I hope it helps, even a little bit. Hugs Flowers
@Patienceofatoddler omg congrats!! Fingers crossed for a sticky bean 🤞

YellowDaffodils86 · 13/05/2018 09:41

@Patienceofatoddler ohh congratulations, the marathon paid off. Hope its extra sticky!🎉its good your seeing a doctor about thyroid, once its under control it should be fine. My friend has a thyroid issue, had a baby few months ago. So hopefully it will all be fine.

@Boboelephant ah ok, i wasn't sure if i had not been clear, sometimes i do kind of just type and not really check if it makes sense😂
I still had bfns at 10/11/12dpo with my bfp so i figured waiting might be best, although last cycle still tested at 10/11dpo🤦🏽‍♀️
However 13dpo falls on a Saturday so i rather find out at the weekend rather than before i rush off to work. But i bet i crack anyway!
I would not stand a chance with 4of them! They will be singing to you every time you pee, "pee on us, pee on us"🤣

@BabynameEdie not much happening. Boobs tender and a bit sore on and off. Cm still present but haven't been paying attention to what type. Yesterday and this morning i have a weird sensation and some very mild cramps/stabby feeling in the center of my pelvic region. But i think thats grasping at straws, just hyper aware of everything.
Im a bit like @Boboelephant sometimes positive it will be this month and then sure it wont be and already write it off. But we really dont know ethier way really.

Blondcat · 13/05/2018 09:45

@curlypop and @patienceofatoddler congrats on your bfp's fx for some sticky beans.

Boboelephant · 13/05/2018 10:20

@Patienceofatoddler wow what a strong line. No need to zoom in there!! Congratulations! I'm confused by your chart. I might be missing something. Is that your temp dropping every day? Or is it measuring fertility strength?
@YellowDaffodils86 haha!!! 🤣🤣 they'll definitely be chanting that now! Yeah I don't work on Thursdays and that's 12dpo so I'll probably crack then as I agree easier to test without then having to be work focused!

Patienceofatoddler · 13/05/2018 10:25

@Boboelephant thank you tentatively happy - will feel better once I've spoken to GP next week.

The chart shows 'fertility' level based on cycle day / ovulation day which is identified the hearts are when we dtd 🙈

I'm 2 days post AF due and it is a lot stronger than my last which was at a week past and ended in miscarriage so fingers crossed.

I can't get excited yet though as so much to sort x x

TheDinosaurRoars · 13/05/2018 11:15

Hi everyone, I haven’t posted for a few weeks and there is so much to catch up on. I hope you are all ok and I’m sorry to see so many of you don’t have your BFPs yet.

HidCat · 13/05/2018 14:03

@Patienceofatoddler congratulations! I'm sure the docs will get your thyroid under control. My cousin has a thyroid problem and is on pregnancy number 3 (no miscarriages and currently 20 weeks with twins) having had no problems due to good monitoring by the docs. Keep positive.

KnitKitty · 13/05/2018 17:47

Congratulations Curlypop and Patienceofatoddler.

Best wishes for healthy pregnancies for you both.

Anyone else testing soon? I'm not even in my fertile week yet. Patience is a virtue.

Patienceofatoddler · 13/05/2018 18:10

Thank You @HidCat I'm still somewhat shocked and won't count it as a given for a lot more weeks as my last miscarriage seems so raw in reality.

It's great to hear other women's experiences though and makes me less nervous. X x

Primrose16 · 13/05/2018 18:32

@Patienceofatoddler and @Curlypop congrats how exciting.

DBoo · 13/05/2018 18:52

Congratulations on the bfps. Such exciting news. Wishing you lovely healthy pregnancies.

Im halfway through the tww now. Not doing any monitoring other than the apps but symptom spotting has started. Feeling mega bloated today which is a surprise as ive been doing weight watchers for the last fortnight. Totally shattered too. I have had a couple of early starts but been in bed and asleep before 11 each night so still a decent amount of sleep. The tww is a bitch Grin

DaisyMay25 · 13/05/2018 19:04

Congrats @Patienceofatoddler and @Curlypop
I'm just starting my tww, the fun begins!

YellowDaffodils86 · 13/05/2018 19:38

@DBoo halfway through too, starting to symptom spot!😱 it truly is a bitch!

Lilimum4 · 13/05/2018 20:03

Hi ladies I'm feeling a bit better now.

@YellowDaffodils86 what sort of symptoms are you looking out for. I'm half way too but I'm sure with the cyst problem it will more than likely mean I'm out this month. But I'm curious as to what symptoms would show up so soon

L1zz13 · 13/05/2018 20:56

Oh god symptom spotting. Don't get me started. I KNOW I'm not pg despite my ridiculous positive tests ( for those not aware I'm currently awaiting hcg to go down post mc 8 effing weeks ago) but I sure have enough symptoms to suggest otherwise! Af also due next weekend apparently!
Let's add constipation to the symptoms !
I never get constipated! Without reason anyway.

Congrats on the weekends BFP's
And sending lots of love to those still feeling shitty.

YellowDaffodils86 · 13/05/2018 21:03

@Lilimum4
I dont tend to actively look, but sometimes i will notice things and wonder if it means something, basically reading into everything.
To be honest im not sure you get any true symptoms so early, but who knows! 🤷🏻‍♀️
The main things that most women seem to report in the tww are sore boobs, bloated, abundant cm, cramping, pulling in uterus, sore on side of boobs, fatigue, break outs, frequent urination. Others may add more too.
Its a shame you have some uncertainty this month, but you never know really what will happen. If you were to get a bfp would the treatment for your cyst interfere with pregnancy?
Glad you are feeling better though.

DBoo · 13/05/2018 21:18

Lets start a tww symptom spotting tally chart Grin here's mine to date...

Bloated
Nausea on and off (although ive not had this till about 6 wks previous pregnancies so probably all in my head)
A bit more tired than normal
Af type cramps.

Will check my app and update with how many dpo i am.

DBoo · 13/05/2018 21:20

7 dpo according to flo. Bloatedness and tiredness just started today but had nausea on and off since friday however i had a big family do yesterday and think could be nerves tbh.

DBoo · 13/05/2018 21:39

Just thought two symptoms missed off the list below of what to look out for in 2ww is iron taste in your mouth and increased sense of smell.

HidCat · 13/05/2018 21:40

@L1zz13 I feel your pain - took 13 weeks to get a negative and another 3 before my period with unbelievable PMS in between. You will get there.

Boboelephant · 14/05/2018 06:19

@Lilimum4 when have they booked you to go back to doc? What have you decided to do?
@L1zz13 did you get your blood results? Have they confirmed its definitely leftover hcg?

I'm also a terrible symptom spotter! Even though I know that you don't have symptoms until baby has implanted and they are just related to progesterone. Doesn't stop me getting obsessed every month!

This month for me the worst things are lower back ache (standard) and really achy legs around my thighs and groin. It's a new one and very unpleasant! Funnily enough I'm usually bloated, gassy and crampy at this stage but so far I'm not.
