I agree with @L1zz13. You are entitled to feel how you feel. There are no rules to this.
I have heard from a friend that she didnt feel as bad after her 2nd mc.
I think its down to the individual and circumstances. Also going through it already gives you some resilience maybe. I feel i would be worse with a 2nd mc than my i was with my 1st. But you dont know till it happens, maybe i wouldn't be.
You now have a great ability to empathise with your friend in a way many others cant due to not having experienced a mc.
I felt happier talking to people that had experienced the same, it made me feel better and supported and i guess not alone.

@Lilimum4 I only started getting ovulation pain (and bleeding) after my MCs as well. For some reason our bodies become a lot more sensitive to these things. I've taken it as a positive sign that my body is helping me to know what's going on so we can act accordingly!

@HidCat I'm glad you managed to turn your day around! That must have been a tough a moment...

@strawberrye I think you're just a lot more empathetic about these situations now- as you have been through one yourself you're just more aware now of what it actually means and the significance of the 12 week scan. I just think your emotions are a reflection of how deeply you understand what your friends are going through. And also in a weird way maybe even makes you feel grateful that you didn't get that far along...I think your reactions are totally normal and you shouldn't feel guilty! I think this just shows you're a really sweet and empathetic person! And your friends are lucky to have you

@strawberrye thanks for the Newcastle advice but we had already been the weekend before I posted that comment. It was a great weekend...kept my mind distracted. Hope you are doing ok? I think after your experiences you have just become very empathetic to anyone going through mc, especially when it’s a friend.
@boboelephant hope you have been able to do it ninja style 🤺😂 needs must!! Hope you have been able to confirm ovulation as well and it’s not a long month 🤞
@cakelaur good luck for Friday! Just take it easy and chill in Mauritius (I’m sure that’s not hard) and before you know it you will be there!

@HidCat I'm so sorry you had to experience that. How upsetting. I'm glad that you are feeling a bit better and have a good support system.
@sweetpea0318 that sounds similar to me. I ovulated 4 days after getting a negative test. Then af two weeks later. I'd get busy if I was you!!
@strawberrye I agree with the others. I think you feeling so bad for your friend shows that you understand and empathise with her pain. I don't think it detracts from how sad you feel about yours. There is also something so horrible about finding out at the scan when you have no idea. She is lucky to have you and when she's ready she's very welcome to join us here.
@Claire138 good to hear from you! Do you have a scan coming up? Haha it ended up not being so ninja like as we all got really drunk, then I showed my mate my positive opk and told her I was off to pounce. 🤣🤣

@Claire138 oh and yes. Chart is looking good for ovulation! All the signs matched up this time. Fx it's a good sign!

Did another hcg today. Randomly one 10 mUI is neg and a different brand. 10mUI is pos, the 25 mUI is positive. Wtf!

Have decided to get an emergency drs app tomorrow and demand a blood test. Feeling a bit anxious that it'll mean I have to have some kind of surgical management or worse. I've been reading about left over of bits growing into cancerous cells! Eek - but we love a bit a drama on here! (Again no offence intended)

@L1zz13 OMG!!! This has got to be a new pregnancy!!! You've had a period since the mc!! Omg have you got pics of the tests? Can you do an frer??

@Cakelaur no I haven't. I have two brands of 10 mUI. Only one says pos and the 25 one is consistent.

Just looking at my dates and timings it's just not possible

It just can't be a new pg. see my dates on flo it's just doesn't add up at all

The test with hcg on the blue strip is supposed to be the 10mUI one. The other 25mUI

@boboelephant love how subtle you were 😂 but most importantly glad you got to dtd at the right time!! Glad it’s all going on time this month! I am going to book a scan at 7 weeks, if nothing scary happens before that. I’m 5+2 at the mo (time drags when you find out at 11dpo 🤦‍♀️). I lost last little bean at 6+4 so it won’t help my anxiety going before that timeframe.
@L1zz13 that really seems odd as you have had a negative pregnancy test since mc? Could this be a new pregnancy?

@L1zz13 just saw your latest post. If there does happen to be anything left over don’t worry about surgical management. I went for that and had no problems. Body got back to normal fairly quickly. Hope you are just lucky and it’s a new pregnancy 🤞

@L1zz13 I have no idea what's going on for you. I'd love for it to be a new pregnancy but I agree a bit that the dates and the sessions don't quite add up. But definitely book an emergency appointment, get your bloods and see where you stand! Fx for a miracle.

Agree.. @L1zz13 dates are funny. But bodies do weird things after mc. And chance your period was implantation? Defo book in for some blood tests. It's the only way to know for sure. I really really hope it's a new one for you.

I'm feeling a bit rubbish today despite the beautiful weather...

Desperate to get back to TTC as you saw from my post yesterday but I keep getting pains/bleeding still.

My last medical management was on April 27th, started with pain and some blood/clots within an hour...was pretty consistent blood/clots for 48 hours then on The Sunday I was in lots of pain and passed loads of clots and blood. Since then I haven't bled a huge amount but every day I've had pain, then passed a clot/tissue and more red blood when I go to the loo...I've also had a couple of small "gushes"...

Is this normal? It's 11 days now...I was hoping I'd just be spotting/old blood by now but it's still clotty/tissue and at least 50% red rather than brown.

Got to do a test tomorrow-last one a week ago was faintly positive.

I just want to get back to normal now-and frankly I miss making love with my man! We only did it once after my positive in mid Feb, and I miss the intimacy.

@Laney79 I'm sorry it's taking so long. Have you been able to get any answers from the docs? My experience was different to most people's so I'm probably not much help tbh but I hope you're ok.

@Laney79 I'm sorry thus is still dragging on. I don't really have any experience to compare as I had surgery. I would call your doc though, I recall you saying she was brilliant? Hope it resolves soon.

Thanks @Boboelephant and @HidCat - I have to ring the EPAU tomorrow with the test result, and I have a GP appt on May 17th. I'll see what the nurse says tomorrow.

Just feels like it's taking a REALLY long time. I found out there was a prob on 17th March so it's just taking forever. I'm broken-hearted about losing my bean, but I really need to move forward now. I want to feel normal.

@strawberrye Just to say I recovered from my 2nd mc so much faster than my 1st, it isn’t anything to feel guilty about. I was so scared through my 2nd preg about miscarrying I was probably just more prepared. Also, for me, the 2nd feels like more of the same kind of loss (adding onto a pile of sadness) rather than a new and shocking loss. I’m sure others feel differently but that’s how it has been for me. If you don’t feel as bad this time this is a good thing. It is great that you can support your friend. As we all know, this can be such a lonely place.

@Laney79 I had medical management in August 15. From what I remember I only bled a week Ish. I lost that much blood on the evening it started that it tailed off quickly. But I honestly don’t know what was normal. I’m sorry it’s dragging out

OMG I can't believe how painful this first period after MC is! Doubling up on Paracetemol and Ibuprofen and still feeling it. 😣

I've been away so haven't posted for a while. I've been reading every so often though, trying to keep up! Sending loads of positive thoughts to the people having tough times at the moment. I would say they should get themselves to the middle of the huddle, but it's probably a bit hot in there for penguins at the moment

I'd been having some super faint lines but they didn't get any darker for about a week so I assumed chemical. But I took a test this morning and the test line is darker than the control line, no mistaking this one. So omg I think I'm pregnant!

So many cycles seem to have synced up, 3dpo here & think there are four or five of us!? v badly timed for POAS Friday - this one will be too early, waiting for next will be TORTURE! Still feeling madly relaxed this month & much bonking in the AfterEights household, enjoying it while it lasts.

@boboelephant Oak - love it. Lot of Cedars in California, few Sequoias.... many many cactuses and succulents... I may need to work on the name inspo if we were lucky last week! Malibu? Venice? Calabasas? Tarzana? Downtown? STARBUCK?

So got an emergency app this am. Dr was sweet though she did try to tell me the faint line on her 25mUI was negative until I said 'urm you don't get faint lines if there is HCG present!' Plus is appeared straight away not after the time slot which I initially had a home.
She agreed I needed a blood test. Have one booked for tomorrow am.

Now I'm home I've just done another POAS HPT and it is darker than the others I've done the last few days! Plus my opk is positive!

Feeling hopeful but realistic as I still cannot make my dates and timings work to make a new baby.
