I think people worry about periods a lot and it’s very hard to know what’s normal. What worried me was that when my periods returned after my EMCS they were totally different to before. I had a difficult CS and bad infection afterwards which left me with scar tissue and short cervix.

Was using condoms as due surgery in May- hysteroscopy and cervical stitch procedure. I’d love to be pregnant but would realistically just be waiting on another miscarriage and delaying my surgery, so am keen to do it first.

catherine1988 · 19/04/2018 11:10

Thread number 4 zillion billion. This is a very nice group of ladies and i hope by the end of this thread we have a few more bfp. On that note this week someone asked me how to do a pregnancy test and what the results would look like if they were pregnant. I was like 'oooh I wouldnt know... check the fucking packet'.

Paranormalbouquet · 19/04/2018 11:29

It’s fairly to take a test isn’t it. I mean we’ve all taken around a million of them!

Bubblegum89 · 19/04/2018 11:59

Ah I see paranormal is it diagnostic or treatment? I had a bad infection after my d&c. I thought I was dying, honestly. I was passing so much tissue and the pains were worse than labour. I personally think it was retained tissue as it had all but stopped by the time I was seen at a&e. I worry about them because of my Asherman’s “scare” that I can’t seem to shake off. When I say I’m having no period today I mean I’m not wearing anything, no mooncup, no nothing because there’s nowt ahem, coming out. I can’t help but wonder if that’s normal.

It’s estrogen isn’t it that makes you have a period? I’m probably grasping but could I have low estrogen or something? It’s not something I’ve had tested, I don’t think they do test it. My periods used to be heavy and long before I went on the pill to help them. They’ve always been lighter since having my DD but not less than 24 hours, I feel like that’s borderline pathetic lol

Paranormalbouquet · 19/04/2018 12:26

@Bubblegum89 it’s both- have a look, remove any dense adhesions and treat cervix. Oestrogen builds up lining, a sudden drop in progesterone at the end of luteal phase causes bleeding. The only way to formally diagnose ashermans is with hysteroscopy. Have you had one? In my case adhesions could be seen on ultrasound but there is a small chance d+c might have broken some. Had bad infection with the latest miscarriage too, it’s the most awful feeling isn’t it.

Bubblegum89 · 19/04/2018 13:29

paranormal I didn’t have a hysteroscopy but I did have the SIS/HyCoSy with a 3D US instead of a regular one. The same thing that the AS specialist in London uses as a diagnosis (apparently 2D US rarely pics up adhesions because it’s not detailed enough but a 3D one is pretty accurate).

It was awful, the infection or whatever it was I had. I’ve never seen so much stuff come out, I was terrified and the pain, my god. It’s like insult to injury isn’t it, like a d&c isn’t bad enough. Well fingers crossed they don’t find anything but if they do, hopefully it’ll be easier to remove. I know a lot of ladies who have had Asherman’s, even 100% scarring, who have gone on to have healthy full term pregnancies after treatment :)

NimbleKnitter · 19/04/2018 13:42

Bubble - I've done castor oil packs! Couldn't tell you if they helped, but they felt nice and definitely didn't make things worse

Bubblegum89 · 19/04/2018 13:51

Where did you get them nimble? I’ve heard lots of things about them but because it’s not like a science-y medical thing, I’m a bit skeptical but I suppose they couldn’t make anything worse like you say

Aph413 · 19/04/2018 14:47

Hold the front door! Cycle day 37 and my first ewcm ever! Excuse me whilst I go jump dh

LookingAtTheStars89 · 19/04/2018 15:57

@Aph413. Woohoo! :-) I'm on cd21 with ewcm only two more weeks until FP :-/ lol

Pinkemi · 19/04/2018 16:28

freaking out.. Whoever told me that I could be pregnant and still have periods.. I wish you hadnt! lol

Ive been feeling sick today.. been running to the loo all day.. now i feel horny.. and now my boobs feel really heavy like they normally do before my period.. yet ive just HAD FP!

in reality..

Im probably feeling sick because my IBS is flaring up again (due to stress at work or ive eaten stuff I shouldnt have.)
Ive been running to the loo because of said IBS and ive been drinking a lot more water than normal coz of the heat.
Im horny because I havent had sex in about a week.
And my boobs feel heavy because.... because... crap I dunno why they feel so heavy. Confused Normally i would say that Its because Ive put on weight.. but ive been losing it (slowly but its going.)

They dont hurt.. just heavy...

WTF.. I told myself I wouldn't be worrying about these things this month! LOL!

Hopefully my acupuncturist can talk some sense into me!

Pinkemi · 19/04/2018 16:33

Correction...

My boobs are probably feeling heavy because I need a new bra... more than likely!

SoozC · 19/04/2018 16:58

Have read but will respond properly when I get a moment. Sorry, work has been instantly busy after the hols and tonight I have class with my pregnant friend (the one due a week after I'd have been due). Fp due Sunday. xx

ShesAYamEater · 19/04/2018 17:06

Ah pink welcome to my world. I have zero sign of period and due at latest tomorrow.
I refuse to take a test. I KNOW I'm not pg and al the symptom spitting is just crazy. Why do we do it to ourselves eh?

Bumblebee25 · 19/04/2018 17:29

Checking in to the new thread from my work trip. Hope you’re all doing well!

Rang for my ultrasound results yesterday and receptionist said ‘characteristics of PCOS’ and full hormone profile needed and completely freaked out. I know PCOS is very common and many can still conceive but I have regular cycles, always get a peak on CB ovulation test and am not overweight and can loose weight fairly easy. So I’m now wondering if the eggs I release are only half ready?! Don’t even know if this is possible. Convinced I have an issue with progesterone too as often get spotting like I did yesterday at DPO 8 and it def feels/looks like FP is on her way than IB. Stupidly packed couple of ICs but of course I won’t need them. Can’t wait to get home next week and see my GP to see what on Earth my body is up to. My gloomy state of mind is not helped that I’m in a super-fertile European country where every other lady I’ve seen today is pushing a pram and has a bump.

JaggyJobby · 19/04/2018 17:46

Had a bookshelf clear out today. I had a pregnancy book stuffed down the back of it in the hope that I would need it soon. Bought it over 9 months ago (aka a fertile fuckers entire pregnancy ago). Every time I see it it's like a kick to the tumblewomb. Time to get rid of it?

Chooklass · 19/04/2018 18:24

Hey @Bumblebee25 - sorry about your bombshell. Same happened to me about 6wks ago! I'm the same - regular cycles, peaks on opks when expected, not overweight, but ultrasound showed my ovaries are a mess!! I always spot between OV and FP too. I've done A LOT of reading in last few weeks are there are defo different types of pcos. People like us might have pco, but not full-blown pcos? I'm trying a low gi & dairy free diet to see if it helps (lots online about this) - so far my skin cleared up, sleeping better, and my usual awful FP cramps were barely there last week. Could be coincidence, and whether it helps get me upduffed or not - who knows! But I feel good looking after myself. There are a few other pcos yammers - you're in good company!

Chooklass · 19/04/2018 18:25

@jaggy I would ditch it!! My SIL keeps passing pregnancy stuff on to me that's she's done with and I hate having it around.

Bubblegum89 · 19/04/2018 18:29

I’m dying at tumblewomb jaggy 😂

Owlpatrol · 19/04/2018 18:52

@Bubblegum89 oh how frustrating 're af. Aparently oestrogen is tested regularly in the US but aparently here not.....

I'm trying not to symptom spot today and it's helped that I'm busy and stressed at work. Af due around next Wednesday. I'm deffo not up duffed usual cramps and moodiness already. Sigh best go for my day 1 bloods

starwishing · 19/04/2018 19:21

I'll catch up on the thread later but been at school all day till now! Has anyone had a laparoscopy and had their period come
Really early? I'm day 23 and super crappy!

LexieJean · 19/04/2018 20:07

@jaggy tumblewomb. Genius 😂

MynameisJune · 19/04/2018 20:08

@pinkemi sorry I think that was me, don’t underestimate your subconscious fooling you. But yeah woman on my baby group had a 3 day period and then found out she was pregnant after.

@jaggy definitely get rid, if only to try and invoke the law of sod.

Welcome newbies.

CD13 for me, EWCM CD11 and 12 as normal but absolutely no sex here as DH was away and is now poorly sigh

Bumblebee25 · 19/04/2018 21:10

Great to hear your diet has helped you Chookglass. Have you received any other suggestions and is diet the main treatment for you? Clomid seems to be often recommended for pcos but if I ovulate already it might be pointless, unless I’m releasing rubbish quality eggs. I will try dairy free diet again, I did this years ago and felt amazing. I know I’m sensitive to sugar and blood sugar changes although all tests came back ok so will try cutting back.

Paranormalbouquet · 19/04/2018 21:18

Well my diet has been bad today. Sandwiches at funeral followed by Burger King in airport. As it was the only place serving food which has greatly annoyed me!

Have weight to lose so back on track tomorrow!

Waiting on flight now.

Still no FP. Will test tomorrow if no sign by then.
