I know it's possibly not advocated but I emailed a multiple miscarriage specialist, I was seen by her clinic with no referral, had a batch of tests & HSG done on NHS. They would have even done the semen analysis for free.
I got 2 consults basically for free, then was told anything else would incur a charge. This woman pioneered NK cell testing for £150 which is money well spent I'd say before going down the IVF route.
I did learn a lot about my bloods and how certain things could affect my fertility never mind carrying a baby.
The clinic is in the Midlands & they're oh so lovely, plus it's easy to get to by motorways. Just a bit of a bugger post HSG, the guy that did it was great and was explaining it all to me, I reached a point pain wise where I had to say please can you just tell me after this is killing me.
Is it me or do you think that gas and air would be nice during HSG's, considering they dilate a balloon full of water in your womb. I took paracetamol and ibropufen as advised, but it had zilch effect.
Also did anyone have a HSG where they couldn't check a tubes latency due to it being obstructed by bowel? Wondering whether maybe you should do an enema before hand if that is common.
