no onder its thread 7 - these move fast! Grin

aw june im sorry to hear that. its happened loads where i work and it is hard. (hugs)

im just coming to have a little wibble. normally cycle is regular and af is bang on cue at around 29/30 days. when i used clearblue ovulation tests i got my static around day 13 so ive always reckoned i ovulate around the cd 15 mark. (even being the old gimmer i am)

usually after ovulation my boobs start to get a bit tender gradually getting worse until the day af arrives.

im thinking i really have hit "that age" because although i had all the signs of ovulation, im now cd28 with not a jot of the boob tenderness that usually indicates my period is on the way.

im thinking i might be having an anovulatory cycle. had one really weird one last year that went on and on and on....think i got to almost cd 50 before af hit.

i use ovia but always ignore it when its shouting at me to take pg tests because it always but always ends in a bfn and i cant face the disappointment! its going to start shouting at me in 2 days. i now need to stop my wild imaginings because ive had a sudden cold which laid me low and i slept tons over the last few days, and felt a little sickly at times (its going now) and my sense of smell has heightened - i couldnt stand the smell of coffee this morning and the dog smells really bad, so now i need to talk sensibly to myself.

  1. the dog smells because he is coming up to his bath time and he DOES smell (big shaggy long haired thing that he is)
  2. also my sense of smell is probably feeling heightened given that ive had a cold.
  3. ive been tired because ive been ill and sleep is needed to fight the bugs. nausea will be due to the cold
  4. my period will either come on time, or not come on time. i cannot do anything about it and i will just have to wait until it rocks up. best remember to carry tampons at all times.

now ive given myself a talking to i feel better

Paranormalbouquet · 18/04/2018 11:37

@LimpLettice how many weeks now? When is your next scan?

Paranormalbouquet · 18/04/2018 11:41

@WhereDoLostSocksGo that’s a very pragmatic approach and sensible talking to you’ve given yourself.

My FP is still AWOL. Giving it until Friday and I’ll probably test (although I really don’t think I’ve had a condom failure as we have used them properly.

LexieJean · 18/04/2018 11:42

@lostsocks that’s a good talking to! Best of luck for the next couple of days waiting for FP and not symptom spotting. I hate that Ovia tells you when to test- I’d rather wait for FP than see a neg pg.

Not sure what’s going on with my body this cycle, I’m cd12, loads of ewcm today but just tested opk and not even a faint line. Nada. Worried my internet cheapies are at fault and I’m going to miss ov. Reluctant to go to boots/Superdrug on my way home and spend yet more £££ on extra opk. Either way will have to persuade OH we’re not too tired to dtd tonight!

ShesAYamEater · 18/04/2018 12:19

in homage to this thread i felt i had to namechange.

LexieJean · 18/04/2018 12:22

Haha! Brilliant! @ShesAYamEater

WonkyDonk87 · 18/04/2018 12:57

Checking in from Lisbon! I'm due on Friday so can't invoke the holiday fertility. Dang. Will have to comfort myself with food and wine Grin

Chooklass · 18/04/2018 14:00

Checking in to new thread! Can't keep up with it at the moment but am still here!

Started taking MyOva supplements - any of you fellow pcos girls tried it? That's this cycle's new thing for me to try.

Bubblegum89 · 18/04/2018 14:37

Thanks Lexie I was just going to ask how did you go about getting your initial consultation and whether you’d had it yet?

Fp is here now. I had a bit of a ‘mare taking out my mooncup, pulled a bit too vigorously and the bathroom ended up looking like a murder scene. Hoping it’s a better period again this time.

How are things going limp? Apart from knicker checking etc

Miserablemouse · 18/04/2018 14:37

Email from someone I work with remotely but have only met in person twice. Nice lady. Last time I saw her we had been talking about her daughter's pregnancy. She has emailed me about something work related and then updated me about her daughter's pregnancy (fine), followed by "it will be you next... :)"

WHY

LexieJean · 18/04/2018 14:49

That’s so not on @miserable Super annoying!

@bubble I booked the initial consultation online (paying as I booked it) and then we had to fill in some forms beforehand (lots, need nhs number and passport number) then we went along. About 1hr. She did another dildocam- I actually got to see the screen though and she showed how she was counting my follicles. It was cool. My womb tilts backwards apparently. With their package you have to fit their 3 criteria to qualify: age weight and fertility. Although I had my amh number they count the follicles to decide if you fit their criteria for the package. Obvs haven’t gotten any further yet but so far everyone has been really nice and helpful. The consultant nurse explained all the various procedures and my OH found it really helpful to understand.

FairyAnn · 18/04/2018 15:10

Thanks @lookingatthestars89, it's not too bad at the moment but it's bound to get worse.

Got my first clinic appointment a week today and I'm so tempted to test the day before it 'just in case'

Bubblegum89 · 18/04/2018 15:24

That sounds great Lexie do you live near London? I’m in the north west near Liverpool but willing to travel for prices like that. Is it really as cheap as they say? I think I read £190 for initial consultation and £2500 for the IVF/meds package. Also how long was it between booking your appointment online and actually being seen? Sorry for all the questions haha. I’m hoping that I’ll meet the criteria. I’m 28, heathy BMI and with unexplained infertility

LexieJean · 18/04/2018 16:45

I’m lucky @bubble as I live in London so it was easy for me to go in.
I booked my initial consultation just a couple of days/ 1 week before going in. No delays when you’re paying! That’s what we’ll pay if we don’t need icsi (which is an extra £1500 - ouch).
A bit less to consider for me as I don’t incur any extra train costs or hotels anything. They’re associated with Create, have you checked if there’s a more local clinic? I think they only offer the package in London but you could go to a free Create open evening first, ask loads of questions and get info. That’s what I did.
You need a bmi under 30, apparently healthy is between 18&30. You defo tick the age box. What was your amh? Any sperm issues?

Applejack70455 · 18/04/2018 17:42

Can I join? I'm on cycle 6 of ttc number 2 - my daughter is 3 and a half. But it took 2 years with her so I think I might be in for long haul! Had a miscarriage in February and I'm
38 so not a lot of time on my hands.

I grudgingly started doing ovulation testing again as that worked last time but my cycles are a bit odd and I'm not convinced I'm ovulating since the miscarriage. And we only dtd once or twice a month because we're too knackered (both work long hours and commute) and most of the time I can't be bothered 😕

I'm putting a deadline on it for the end of the year as I feel I need to draw a line and get on with life if it doesn't happen. Anyone else doing the same?

Applejack70455 · 18/04/2018 17:44

Oh and how come everyone I know who has had a miscarriage has got pregnant again within a month? I don't meant it be bitter but it's literally just happened to my friend and I know three other people that happened to. Not me though of course 😕

Pinkemi · 18/04/2018 17:49

Checking into the new thread!

FP has just finished so gearing up for a new month of TTC.. BUT... I've decided to take it very laid back this month. No more temping.. no more getting stressed about cutting out food.. no more apps.. no more opks. Im just going to focus on healthy eating, and my mental attitude.. and have sex when ever I damn want. Wish me luck ladies! :)

FairyAnn · 18/04/2018 17:59

Good luck @pinkemi! Random sex does sound more exciting than 'scheduled intercourse' 😉

bridget33 · 18/04/2018 18:18

After promising not to take a test I caved in earlier and of course it was a bfn. I have been feeling so nauseous all week and haven't been eating much at all so thought maybe just maybe I could be pregnant?! Turns out I must have a sickness bug which feels so darn cruel when waiting for FP. I feel taking a test early is like self torture and I'd really like to not do it next month if I can. Feeling all sad now. But am going to go for a swim and drink gin later to cheer me up. Massive Meh : (

ShesAYamEater · 18/04/2018 18:49

i feel utterly pants.

i am telling myself there is absolutely nothing to gain from testing, cd28 but my cycles this year have been 29, 28,30and whatever this one is.

i feel fatigued and nauseas but the sensible me says its getting over this cold. that said the other half cooked squid tonight which i normally like but the smell turned my stomach immediately and i had to spit the first mouthful out and cook something else for me.
if i get to cd 30 i might risk a test. im more likely to be menopausal than upduffed though. i really do wish i could just forget it now.

Bubblegum89 · 18/04/2018 18:51

Lexie there’s one in Manchester but it doesn’t offer the same package. It wouldn’t cost us too much in travel etc. Considering IVF minus meds at our usual clinic is £6000, we’ll still save a tonne. All my hormone tests came back completely normal and my OH has had two SA done both of which were excellent. They literally cannot find a reason why we can’t conceive which is mega frustrating. Hopefully you won’t need the ICSI!

Owlpatrol · 18/04/2018 18:58

@Bubblegum89 is your ex my ex by any chance? We didn't get to the stage of ttc luckily but almost.
@LookingAtTheStars89 we usually manage twice during fw and still not preggers no luck nor timing makes a difference to us

Had another shitty day at work one lady told me she got pregnant straight away...
I'm feeling so lost this month it's hard to explain. My friend told me her tubes were blocked and got pregnant next month as well. I don't mind them telling me their experiences but is it meant to make me feel better?

Anyway drinking wine and eating soft cheese in my garden tonight. Suppose u better shave my legs as well lol

Owlpatrol · 18/04/2018 19:00

Not u better shave my legs. That's weird. I meant I shave my legs lol

Owlpatrol · 18/04/2018 19:05

@WhereDoLostSocksGo argh so annoying a couple of us think we have had anvoluntary cycles
@Bubblegum89 I'm glad af turned up at least we know

Giving everyone a big hug tonight and wine. Wine solves everything

Aph413 · 18/04/2018 19:17

I swear I see pregnant people everywhere right now. Looked up out of my kitchen window early to see my neighbour with a huge belly that has appeared out of nowhere Envy. Its a shit 6th sense
